  • No place is as good as DoBell Ranch my normal "WOW!! " is not nearly strong enough .
    This place is amazing and worth a trip to Arizona all by its self . The owner is a wonderful person and its true what they say "We don't get more customers. We make Friends!" I can not wait to head back out there.

    Awesome! I’m really happy to hear that it’s owned and operated by good people 👍🏼 I’m excited to see what you make out of some of this stuff. I’m bummed it’s going to be raining all day today. Maybe tomorrow we can get out.

      My wife and I were actually just talking about my trip out west tonight over dinner and she said " You have to go back to Dobell" I told her "Dont worry I would not miss it for the world "

      It is an amazing mine and the petrified wood is just simply amazingly beautiful , and the owner is by far one of the nicest people on Earth .... Worth a trip to Arizona alone to go here ... Just remember to get a receipt in case you decide to visit the Petrified forest next door .

    You really made some ground on that trip. Glad you had a not so windy day. Those are pretty rare these days. The big piece will be a killer fountain. We can definitely see your vision on that. Those type of projects always look better in my head and then turn to 💩, but you got the skills so I'm sure it'll turnout great.

      Thanks , I hope I got the skills , I always have grandiose plans that start off great but I'm sort of a measure twice cut thrice kind of guy LOL

    Wow, excellent video Jeff! Petrified wood is my favorite, and these are definitely at the top of the list, amazing pieces. Amazing pieces, seriously jaw dropping. History is amazing, especially considering these were alive at one point, I always imagine what the world looked like back then!
    Hopefully one day make it out there again didn't know about rocks then. I have family that have a house in Scottsdale!

      Thank you , I am the same way its so crazy to think that a tree got buried under a volcanic flow even before the Tyrannosaurus Rex walked the Earth and laid there for millions of years turning to stone , then I ( or some one ) comes along and digs it up .... Rocks and Fossils just blow my mind man.
      and Scottsdale is awesome as I kid I lived out in Arizona , I love it out there and knew very little of the rocks to be found .... Might be a good thing I didnt know I would have collected to much LOL

      You're gonna love it , beautiful specimens every where, I recommend a spray bottle as well as your normal digging tools.

    Is that the rainbow wood?

    • @huntingrocks
      @huntingrocks  ปีที่แล้ว

      Some of it is , the colors there are AMAZING! From very dark black to almost clear and every color in-between. Deep reds are the most abundant but I have some very beautiful color swirls
