    Welcome to my first 'review' video on the channel. I've learnt a lot making this and would do it completely differently if I did it again! I'm no technical expert, so these reviews come from the viewpoint of a sim racing and how things look and feel in my hands and on the rig. I hope you enjoyed it.

    Amazing pedals. I've had mine for a few weeks now and they're a night and day difference from the CSL Elites, which I couldn't get used to because the throttle was too soft and caused continuous lift off over steer, and the brake was too hard. Don't waste your time modifying them like it did with different springs or elastomers like I did because it didn't make much of an impact.
    Save up and get the Sprints, and your sim racing will be more enjoyable because, unless you want to upgrade to hydraulic pedals, these are the only pedals you'll ever need.

    What I took from this is that unlike other aspects of life, if it's quite soft- you're using an extra large rubber.

      Haha its a good take-away

    Very nice review. These look amazing. Question.. how do the pedals interconnect since they are individual pedals? I found one picture where a small cable ran between them. I was thinking there was a hub involved but maybe not. The website doesn't mention anything about it.
    Again thanks for the great review.

      Thanks, glad you enjoyed the video! There's a cable that runs from the throttle to the brake and clutch to the brake, then the USB runs to the PC from there. I think the ultimates now run into a hub before the PC.

    Great review Chris, I'm upgrading from my Fanatec V3s to these after much deliberation, I looked at a few different options like the Meca Cup and VRS but after talking to a few iracing friends and reviews like yours I've just ordered the sprints.
    Can I ask how your finding them now after a bit of use? Did you stick with the large rubber or did you alter then again.
    Thanks again for a great review.

      Thanks for the feedback! I really appreciate it.
      The decision was a tough one for me too, there are a lot of options out there. I'm still very pleased with my decision with regards to build quality and ease of use, although I can't compare directly to other competitors.
      I did stick with the large rubber after changing around a little bit, it gave me the sort of feel I liked, but I think this is all very personal.

      @@CD_Racing theirs a wealth of options out there that's for sure! I was really tempted by the Meca's and the VRS plus a few others, but ultimately it's come down to people's recommendations and Heusinkvelds top-drawer after sales support and their brilliant software. Hopefully they can knock a second off my GT3 lap times 😃Thanks again for the reply mate.
      Enjoy your racing 👌

      How are you liking the sprints? I have the V3 and at the moment I’m stuck between these and the asetek invictas. I’m digging the team redline edition sprints.

    • @CD_Racing
      @CD_Racing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm still a fan of the sprints, but I've not tried the invicta pedals, which do look pretty awesome. I'd recommend the sprints, as I do in the video, but as I say, others may have more direct comparison experience.

    Great review, mine just came in today. Can’t wait to install them.
    No issues with flex without the pedal plate ?

    • @CD_Racing
      @CD_Racing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! I've not had any flex issues at all to date and I've had them a while now

      I believe it’s a 5mm thick plate for GT1-Evo, I have the same setup and have zero flex. How did you get on with your set David?

    What elastomer set were you using on your csl elites? I have been running a combo of the 85 and 95 kg on mine but I’ve been worried that the sprints with only 65kg at the pedals plate would be too light if I switched over

    • @CD_Racing
      @CD_Racing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      In all honesty, I can't remember, I'm pretty sure I was running the middle weight. I didn't have any issues switching. I think with all these things when you change there is a short period of getting used to the new feel and then you kick on from there

    • @dasmoools606
      @dasmoools606 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      its ab it different. On your CSL Elites, the elastomers mimic 85 and 95kg. In reality, it doesn't have even a 65kg loadcell.
      Whats referred to as the loadcell, if you see int he video when he turns the brake upside down, its that thin metal piece on the underside, thats the 65kg loadcell. Elastomers don't adjust 'loadcells' - they just make the pedal stiffer or softer.
      Even on the softest setting for Sprints, you'll still have a 65kg loadcell, while the CSL Elites don;t use an actual loadcell, but they use elastomers AS the loadcell, turning the entire pedal into a loadcell sensor.

    Nice and informative review. Ive been using these for just over a year now and they have been great. I agree with everything you have said here, your review is spot on.

      Thanks so much for comment, I'm enjoying the pedals more and more as I use them. I wanted to have some use under my belt before reviewing them but I have had them a good while now and I'm still happy. Thanks for the feedback on the review, it means a lot

    The thing I adore the most about Heusinkveld pedals, be it Sprints or the Ultimates. I recently purchased the Team Readline edition of the Sprints.
    The fact that I can create personalized profiles for each and every car I drive. Don't get me wrong, I loved and adored my V3's but.. they didn't give me that much freedom and choice.
    I have profiles for the F1 2021 an 2022 games for example, nothing too spicey, just something I fiddled with for a more arcadey game.
    Then I have profiles for each and every car in ACC and each car I use in iRacing.
    However.. it does feel kinda cheaty.. the fact that I can make a profile for my 488 in iRacing, where when I apply 'max' brakes, it'll reach JUUUST before activating ABS, so I can perfectly brake.. every corner, without worry.
    Regardless of that, I personally think its the Throttle thats the big 'thing' with upgrading to Sprints from most other loadcell pedals. The Throttle feels so.. progressive? like, it feels like an actual throttle, like theres something behind that throttle, where I can modulate acceleration in a FAR more refined manner. I'm in love with these pedals and thus, going to buy the clutch pedal soon.

    I’m in the market for some new pedals - moving up from the CSL’s - these are now on the short list

    Great! Same rig and pedals for me 😁 Over time I’ve moved to the stiffest config on the brake.
