    It’s great to support VNM because of just how well they stand behind their product and how quick their response is. I fried my VNM shifter with a torn power cable and contacted them and they asked me to get Whatsapp and spent over an hour trying to diagnose the issue with me. Once they determined that the issue wasn’t resolvable via software, they put me in contact with a US based repair. Amazing customer service.

    I love my VNM pedals. I have to admit that they are the best and highest quality item on my rig. The fit and finish is top notch just like their other items. I agree with all your thoughts on the pedals and wished I would have waited for your review to go without the damper set. but I'm still super happy with what I got. I'll see you on Tuesday's stream. TOOT TOOT!

      hey mate, are you still happy with those pedals? is it mandatory to buy the heel plate or is it also just fine to without higher heels or are they too big?

    I was going to get some HE sprints but I went with these instead since they had dampers. I was also able to source a stiffer spring for the throttle and i have just been completely obsessed. Great review

    I was confused by the upgraded brake elastomers/spring details. The set they sent you, is that supposed to be an upgrade you can purchase separate from the pedals, or is it now the standard included?
    Thanks for these reviews Laurence. Working up to an upgrade from a g29 setup without access to try out any of this higher end hardware. You've definitely helped give an idea of what to expect.

    I’m still on the fence with getting these. My options imo are VNM V1, Simgrade VX PRO or P1000s. I have an inverted pedal deck so not sure which is going to work best.

  • @PatesProjects
    @PatesProjects ปีที่แล้ว

    Laurence, I noticed you had the damper/spring pushed down to the lowest position on the pedal arm. That makes it very easy to push and it doesn't give much resistance in that position. Move the throttle damper/spring all the way up on the arm for the most resistance. You complained about the throttle not being strong enough but you have it on the weakest setting. You can see it at the 12:54 mark of the video.

    • @LaurenceDusoswa

      The video footage doesn't represent all the settings that I have tried unfortunately as I'd have to film every time i change anything :p

    So, If we're being honest there's still no overriding reason why I should dump my HE Sprints in favour of another pedal set. Well apart from the baseplate as it looks absolutely solid and the HE Sprint baseplate is an invention of the devil.

    • @LaurenceDusoswa
      @LaurenceDusoswa  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agreed. The HE sprint are really good. There’s no reason to change unless there are specific features that you are missing. I do recommend trying heusinkveld’s new elastomer kit though. It’s only €25 or so.

  • @oznemur
    @oznemur ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Nice review! Set has potential of being top notch once elastomer caps are introduced.

    • @LaurenceDusoswa
      @LaurenceDusoswa  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      yep I agree. It would make the brake near perfect with cups and the elastomer upgrade kit. All it needs then is an uprated throttle spring. But all in all these pedals are still great. I highly recommend them

    • @LaurenceDusoswa
      @LaurenceDusoswa  ปีที่แล้ว

      These are better pedals albeit slightly more difficult to set up. I do wish they used cups though. At 450 I would definitely go with the VNM. And you’ll probably never upgrade again. Whereas with the csl elite v2, you can outgrow the throttle and clutch unless you have good mods for them

    Do not trust these reviews anymore… bought Asetek Forte, they are not bad, but foot-base plate is disaster, tried HE ultimates, and VRS pro pedals, bought VRS and could bot be more happy, was stupid that i cancelled my VRS and bought Forte, these reviews maybe are personal thing, but VRS for the price, nobody can touch them, and trail braking is great, no more rubber in pedals! At least for me!

    • @LaurenceDusoswa

    I came up with a cheap hack to get a damped feel on the brake without the damper kit. If you take one of those red rubber washers off the cap from a bottle of Grolsch and insert it into the elastomer stack, it will rub against the shaft giving a damped feel from the friction. Placing it higher in the stack will increase the effect as the washer will end up traveling more. Should work with other pedals that use the same design too as long as the shaft diameter is thicker than the washer inner diameter. Plus the Grolsch will improve your lap times!

    • @LaurenceDusoswa
      @LaurenceDusoswa  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hahaha cool hack :D If it works, it ain't stupid :D Thanks for sharing!

    • @LaurenceDusoswa

    thanks for the vid.. I'm looking for something with a longer clutch and brake travel. I found that a lot of sim racing pedals have very short pedal travel and are very stiff to mimic race cars. I'm trying to simulate driving a road car built for the track. is this pedal something that can be adjusted to the way i want? hoping for your answer...

    • @LaurenceDusoswa
      @LaurenceDusoswa  ปีที่แล้ว

      This can be set up for long clutch and brake travel. So can most setups like the Simagic p2000, simforge mark 3, etc

  • @zhutwo
    @zhutwo ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Laurence, how much pressure do you put through your pedals? I can get these pedals to read about 50% of raw value when calibrating before it's uncomfortable to press any harder. It was a pretty stark contrast coming from T-LCMs - I had to lighten the stock elastomer config with a spring even. Or is it more a matter of not liking much travel in your setup as opposed to max pressure? I'm bewildered by how anyone can max out a 200kg load cell without wearing construction boots lol.

    • @LaurenceDusoswa
      @LaurenceDusoswa  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hahaha I don’t know how much pressure I put on a brake to be honest. Heavy braking is something that you learn and get used to over time really. It’s not something you need to do… it’s just something that ends up happening

  • @magicmass-d7x

    Funny enough, when I looking for simtrecs pedals here in Australia. Found out racekraft sell Vnm pedals but also found they tune it by themselves. They stiffer the spring to the throttle and added their own damper kit on the brake and the clutch. Interesting.

    Please never add a cup or sleeve system on the polymers as suggested. You have a primary take up spring then the main (secondary) braking feel the set of polymers give. The main reason I chose this set was the lack of a sleeve/captured polymer system which adds a tertiary stage feel when the polymer binds against the walls.

    • @LaurenceDusoswa
      @LaurenceDusoswa  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      elastomers lose effectiveness at 60%. I'm glad they feel good for you and the amount of force you apply, but adding cups is still a good idea. people can remove them if they want to feel what you feel.
