    Zambia"s a great country with great people, i"ve done Lusaka to Ndola and Lusaka to Victoria, i remember a quick stop at Hooters for a quick drink and ear splitting on bus relevision with a mix off religon, martial arts and Mr Bean😁. A long journey Lusaka to Gabarone chatting to the money changers at the border at 6am (they were smoking weed and drinking big bottles of castle) when the bus was held at customs for a few hours. Great times, Love Zambia love Africa

      @@theKhumbaguy yes, the Gabarone was hard going but worth it, crowded bus in tropical heat was not easy, when we crossed the border there was a mass pf pepple that i thought was there to meet people getting off the bus but they all jumped on women and children stood for a good 10 hours on the bus, i wanted to give my seat to a woman but my Zambian girlfriend told me not to as it could start a riiot, i felt very bad about that. Ndola is my favourite place, had a great time their.

    • @kenmuye2581
      @kenmuye2581 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @ Nola Vout
      I do not think that the Copperbelt has not received a full share of such investment. When was the last time you were on the Copperbelt? Probably in a long while! Roads are being done there under C- 400 road project, the Copperbelt remains as the only province with inter-city duo carriage way between Kitwe & Ndola; now it has been extended from Ndola via Kitwe to Chingola. CB has received a new green field project in Copperbelt International Airport - CIA, shopping malls being built in all the major cities & towns, hospitals & clinics built especially in Lufwanyama, Mpongwe & Masaiti. CB has seen new & huge investments in Masaiti district as it hosts 3 big cement factories, i.e Larfaq, Zambezi Portland & Dangote. There are also 2 huge lime factories in the brands of Ndola lime re-capitalised & New Neelkanth lime company & cable manufacturing plant, etc. Talk of the magnificent Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola, Micheal Sata Medical School at CBU but hosted at Ndola Central Hospital, etc.
      Those who should genuinely complain are North Westerners because North Western Province has become a hub of mining, copper, gold & uranium but not much is being done there. Not really fair at all, provinces which contributes little or nothing to the national treasury are given much attention. Infact North Western Province contributes more than 60 % of copper production to what Zambia produces.

    The frames from 0:21/10:27 shows a slow moving track taking the overtaking lane (the right hand lane) on a dual carriageway. Meanwhile, your driver overtakes the truck by crossing the continuous 'no overtaking' line. And then we wonder why there are so many accidents per capita in Zambia. The C.I.A. fact book ranks Zambia among the highest road traffic accident rates in the world.

    It's not altered that much in 45 years!!!!!

    • @kenmuye2581
      @kenmuye2581 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It has been greatly altered especially in the last15 years or so, though where you did not expect it, out side main CBD. As with the CBD, it may seem not much change has taken place because it was already a built up area way back in the late 70s, therefore, the only projects done are re-development like in the case of Society House now society business Park/Hilton Hotel. The project came about because it was gutted in the mid- 90s. The other ones had to do with complete demolition of existing structures to pave way for new ones like the case of Levy park mall, South gate & Iringa malls at the Southern tip of ChaChaCha & Freedom ways. Your sentiment is more or less expecting Central London to change completely! Impossible, because it is a built up area already. However, slightly outside the main CBD, the change is big time; talk of Alick Nkhata road around Mass Media area, it's completely a different place adorned with new modern buildings, arcades area has completely changed for the better. New upper market enclosed residential areas have sprang up everywhere such as Silverest, Makeni gated community, Roma park, Nkwashi new Lusaka private city, Kingsland city, ZAF Twin Pam mini- city project, to name but a few. The other game changer is the Lusaka Decongestion road project which though not yet complete is already having a positive impact on the city's outlook. KKIA is another wonderful project which is nearing completion & has already changed the outlook of the airport which has been turned into a mini-city. Let me also make mention of Levy Mwanawasa General Hospital that has been upgraded into a teaching hospital from 150 bed capacity to 850, Levy Mwanawasa Medical School is another milestone project, talk of the new Lusaka Specialised Hospital, as well as numerous world class shopping malls dotted around the city. The change is big time & the city is on the move with a positive development trajectory.
      Away from Lusaka, are you aware that Zambia is the only country in the world that had created over 40 districts, created a new province & moved Southern provincial headquarters from Livingstone to Choma in just 6years time. All these districts are functional with adequate supporting infrastructure s as well as the two (2) new provincial headquarters. All these have gobbled alot of money, Lusaka is not the only city to be developed, but all cities & towns including villages.

    • @nolavout9094
      @nolavout9094 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      What I meant was it is still recognisable, I realise there are loads of malls now, though why so many are needed is a mystery, just wish Chingola looked as good
