Always saying colonial masters, Zimbabwe was mostly built by Mugabe and hard working citizens between 1980-2005. On the contrary Zimbabwe was very poor infrastructural wise during colonial times, you could find one hight school or one clinic in the whole entire province
Only Zimbabwe leadership was sanctioned. The whole country was "dragged" into the sanctions effect because the ruling regime has expropriated/stolen most of the country's assets. So this thing about "sanctions" issue has been twisted and championed by Eddie Mnangagwa et al. It is a shame really, how people end up being so greedy in such a vile manner, and be impervious to the wanton suffering they have thrust the average Zimbabwea into.

@@trevorgwesu1851 I definitely know what I am talking about. I am very conversant with ZIDERA - 2001 up to E.O. 13288 and built upon in E.O. 13391 and E.O. 13469. If the leadership had not corruptly expropriated the Zimbabwean economy for their own private enjoyment, that situation would not have been felt by the generality of the population. In order to normalise things, the leadership needed to to do certain things, of which their "creature-comforts" enjoyment would need to be downgraded. Instead they chose to hang onto greed and let every one else suffer. As a result, they turned their own situation into a national issue. All what the leadership needs to do is to start behaving decently, curtail their greed (stop looting national coffers/assets and national resources), not stifle the political landscape, truly observe rule of law, respect property rights etc. It is that easy . But ofcourse very difficult to comply for them.

I can not see the now refurbished holiday inn hotel, which was then ZBS. Quite alright, Zim has good buildings, but showing an old zambia and comparing it to new zim is sickening. The colour of local transport buses is no longer blue, and it's been more than 5 years since this change was instituted.

The main problem with your comparison, as others have stated, is that you are comparing the old 1980's Lusaka CBD to the current Harare CBD. The CBD in Lusaka has since moved eastwards, and most of the country's main businesses no longer operate in the old CBD (more like what has happened to the Johannesburg CBD and the shift Sandton). The new CBD technically starts from the Northmead/Rhodespark areas into the Eastpark/Massmedia/Longacres areas. This is a much bigger and more modern area. So check your facts.

Looking at Zim,nothing on telecommunications is affordable. When comparing countries,you look at the low class and compare them to see if they can survive the economy.In Zimbabwe the minimum strive to survive than those in Zambia. You cant compare, Zambia should be way ahead than Zimbabwe because Zimbabwe has had a period of over 10yrs with no development and political sanctions. Zimbabwe is not well developed by the British or American's Zimbabwe advanced itself after independence, example during the colonial era the British had one university,after independence 16/17 universities,schools Mugabe built over 300 schools, new buildings, at some point created an educated nation beyond imagine, most developments happened after independence, most infrastructure was built after independence

The main problem with your comparison, as others have stated, is that you are comparing the old 1980's Lusaka CBD to the current Harare CBD. The CBD in Lusaka has since moved eastwards, and most of the country's main businesses no longer operate in the old CBD (more like what has happened to the Johannesburg CBD and the shift Sandton). The new CBD technically starts from the Northmead/Rhodespark areas into the Eastpark/Massmedia/Longacres areas. This is a much bigger and more modern area. So check your facts.

To cut the long story short 98% of residents are less privileged in barlastone park and gorge compound. The location was not planned well. We have nice infrastructures in Zambia
