Thanks for the info. I bought all the supplies. Just have a quick question. I have a limited with no blank panels available. Am going to mount switches where you did. Any issues since mounting them there? Also do you just drill a little hole bigger and bigger until it clips in place? thanks@@NK1794
NK1794 thank you, but what if I'm going to be installing it on a Panasonic receiver, because the stock keeps messing up? So I'm going to plug it into the video input, I just don't know where to attach the power....
So you are not using the FRAC harness, is that correct? The red cable is just for power so you should be able to connect it to the head unit. The head unit should have a cable for remote-on. So basically look for a wire that comes on when the radio is on OR you can connect it to a power source that comes on when you have the key in the on position. I hope that helps.
If the engine is not running the lights draw too much power from the battery so the screen will dim. There is also an automatic night time dimming of the screen but I dont think that's what you are referring to.
ralph P you can increase the brightness of the display in the general settings but the screen will automatically dim whenever you turn on the parking or headlights to reduce glare at night.
ralph P I haven't found a way yet but it's a very minor issue in my opinion. Our trucks hold a higher resale value and will still be running long after the "big 3" are dead and gone.
Why? My Tundra came with a rear camera, and there is no need for a front camera. I can see performance mods, but this is a waste of money and time imo. Great work tho!
Nah, she’s a big girl, but I have absolutely no problems parking. I don’t park up close, right next to the door, and right by everyone else, I park far out so no bozos are bashing the sides of my baby. Much rather use my cash on a suspension mod or something along that line. Thanks for posting!
was a pleasure to watch. thanks
Great Video Thank you
Great install video. What camera did you end up purchasing? How much was the harness to purchase?
Check out the description section for links. The FRAC is about $300.00

Kevin Flores No issues with the location. Yes, drill the hole and keep checking to make sure it’s a perfect fit. Good luck with the install.
Do you have to buy the F.R.A.C wire harness for it to work or can you just buy the camera only..
Thai Lor You will need to buy the harness as well. Thank you for watching
Sorry for asking a dumb question, but what exactly are you connecting the red power cable to that comes from the camera?
You have to connect it to the FRAC harness. Check out the video @ 10:55

Good video thanks. Let me ask you this when I turn on my parking lights only my screen dim down is there a way to stop the dim on the screen?

Is there a way to stop the dim on the screen at all that you know?

Wonder if I can do this on my 2018 with the front sensor...
I think it should work.
Awesome.
Thank you
Do they record?
Liberty Doc No, they do not record. You need a dashcam for that.

N2 DaAIR You need this mod. :-) It helps when parking in tight spaces. Thanks for your comment.

I dont need a rear or front camera but it is a nice feature.
