I'm still trying to get over that floor. That's the most beautiful space I've seen in a very long time. Can't wait to see the stair case installed and all the punch-work completed. You're an incredibly lucky man, Jimmy!
The perfect match, Steel Lighting & Patrick Reynolds. Mixed together they make this horse barn shine for you Jimmy, no pun intended. The place is really starting to look spectacular!
Back in the day, I hung on each and every Sunday PBS "This Old House" with Bob Villa. I followed Norm and all the guys and still do, when I can find them. I found your channel and this is so new yet so familiar to me. I do not build, I do not weld, I am not an electrician nor can I hang dry wall... I just love watching you guys do it! Love you too!!!
You're always working hard, you have So much to show for it. Oddly enough, these Buildings and Projects are all designed for you to continue your hard work. Very impressive Jimmy! As always, thank you for sharing!👍👍❤️
Can't wait to see how you finish this ,especially the leather shop.great job. crazy how much windows and doors are these days, but get what you want,I stopped compromising. Barn is fantastic!
You are truly blessed with with a vision jimmy, and you’ve created the opportunity to see that vision through. You’re the most inspirational person dude 🤙
Hi Jimmy. Those lights really look great! A perfect accent for the industrial motif of the horse barn. I'll bet the leather studio is going to smell wonderful, once you have all the leather supplies in there. Love the flooring. Having friends in the trades that you know you can count on is such a huge resource too!
Really love the look. Those mounts were great I love making my own touch on things like that. I like the transitions you used in the cuts. Lights look great. Beautiful night shots
The barn is really taking shape nicely. Patrick is definitely the rockstar of electricians. He has a great mind for design and clean execution. Watching him work is a masterclass in proper care for wiring. Can't wait to see the stairs go in. Thanks for sharing!
The leather shop is going to be an amazing space ! I completely agree about the big doors opening it all up, a good breeze always feels good. And yep those are awesome lights
You are my favorite TH-camr by far. It was an honor to meet you and have the pleasure of shaking your hard working hands. (Maker Central) We all love you DIRESTA. 🏴🇬🇧🇺🇸
I built a house 5 years ago and used Steel Lighting for a bunch of my exterior and some interior lights - they have been amazing. I especially love the custom cord colors you can choose for their hanging pendant lights. I went with Red on a Mopboard Black house (with black Marvin Integrity windows and doors)
As a most of the time electrician, those blocks you made for the outside lights to mount on are absolutely beautiful. An incredibly nice touch to the work. In fact, I may even have to steal the idea for future projects. A couple of projector beam floods on the dark side of the building might be something you want in the future. Honestly, having hung more than a few, I just went back to regular old flood holders and some Sylvania Night Chaser flood bulbs (those have seemed quite excellent for brightness, still testing for longevity). How is the graveyard house coming along?
Jimmy, had one eyebrow up watching you craft the light mount boxes. Once installed finished I was amazed at how much I liked them. You've made the light vendor proud. Me too. Added to my cool shit arsenal.
Props to you for living the dream and building cool shi. All your buildings from workshop, old house, cemetery house, horse barn are beautiful. Love your work my friend
I'm a big fan of exposed conduit for anything but the most finished/formal spaces. It's easy to maintain and modify. That style of shade is excellent as a way to avoid light pollution. The Dark Sky Association and astronomers everywhere salute you.
I feel you on insane prices... building a 30x32 garage and its costing 60k... and that was the cheap quote, my other quote was for 74k... my dad built a 32x32 about 15 years ago and the whole thing cost 24k.
I've forged two sets of sliding barn door hardware copied after some I saw on OneLonelyFarmer's channel. It was on and old barn that was falling in but the sliding door still worked as it did when installed. They look great on a door. Holler at me if you'd like for me to share the design, it's really kind of simple.
Your work on the barn is impressive as always Jimmy, but how the hell did you befriend all those turkeys? They're grumpy little feather tanks and your just over there giving them pets!
Hey, you can't be good in all rooms of the house or in this case the barn. 😁 Leave the electrical to the experts. Barn looks amazing! Love that flooring! It's going to hurt cutting it when you put in the stairs but it'll be nice having them there! Looking forward to more!
Great film. Barn is looking great. Nice to see Patrick working, see how he does things. Electrical work is tough on the fingers. Mahalo for sharing! : )
Hi Jimmy its always a pleasure! and complet!e joy to watch your videos your such a interesting guy thanks for all your knowledge and content thanks Jimmy ! 🦾🦾🦾
I know its not traditional, but, putting a small deck on the field/eve side off the Leather Shop? Would be an excellent spot to take a coffee break on. So, not 'traditional' but I've seen it done a few times for just that reason. Just like you, some farmers do use that 2nd floor for working on other things. Also? Traditional barns DO have a Bird's Beak Beam with a shackle and pulley, and I'm not seeing that. Its to help raise and lower bales of hay, barrels, machinery... Now when I have seen a working barn with a short deck, if it had a Bird's Beak Beam with a shackle and pulley, or they used an 'A' Frame with shackle and pulley, the 'A' Frame was hinged at the bottom to allow it to pivot back and forth, and the deck had a removable trap door. The trap door was always heavy, and was sturdy enough that once it was slid back in place and onto its frame, it would be flush and you could put a load on it. So, just an idea. Oh and for just one, deck, deck hatch, Bird's Beak Beam that had its pulley on a movable track to make moving stuff to the inside a breeze, that had an accessory pulley and rope mounted on the end of the Beam. That actually was probably the fastest and easiest... well, except moving that hatch, that sucker was heavy.
How will you heat/cool your upstairs leather room when yo have that big open space down below? The flooring you put down look fabulous from above and below.
Fantastic work Jimmy & Crew! I am not an electrician but my stepson is. So I am sending him this video to watch and I know that he will enjoy it. Also, gottal love those Turkeys! 👍👍🦃🦃
Very nice. I'm surprised that there's no sub floor beneath the floorboards. I guess that's the way they always did 'em. It does seem more appropriate for a horse barn.
Looking awesome Jimmy! 🤩 I installed a Steel Co gooseneck light for my workshop a few months back, they’re so nice!
Paige!! ❤

And so pleased the flooring is installed with the vee-groove down 🤣. Maybe @wranglerstar should’ve done a cross-over with Jimmy
@@brentfleming1756did he put it up?? i missed that
Keep them coming Jimmy. Love from the UK. My house would fit neatly into a lower corner of your barn😂.
Wow, love to see so much progress. Can't wait to see it in the fall!

Very beautiful building! Nice choice on the lightning! Pateletrick and you did an amazing job 👍🏻
Looks amazing! Any thoughts about solar panels with all that roof surface?
The light block/base fabrication was genius!!
Cathedral like in plan, space & illumination, so impressively practical, inspiring & motivating. Thank you for sharing!
Pat makes those of us who hate messing with electricity, love watching him, mess with electricity.
You're always working hard, you have So much to show for it.

The glass door facing the black shop just beggs for a slide, when you need to go over there.
Zipline!?

What an absolutely amazing beautiful space to work in, I’d never leave, stunning 🔥👏👏👏
Really love the look. Those mounts were great I love making my own touch on things like that. I like the transitions you used in the cuts. Lights look great. Beautiful night shots
My favorite series with the new house, love the vids as always Jimmy!
Thanks for the update Jimmy, beautiful lights !
It’s beginning to look really good. Like how you are going to keep it as a horse barn and that your leather business is taking off that is really cool
The barn is really taking shape nicely. Patrick is definitely the rockstar of electricians. He has a great mind for design and clean execution. Watching him work is a masterclass in proper care for wiring. Can't wait to see the stairs go in. Thanks for sharing!
I remember when the timberframe horsebarn was concieved and constructed. Beautiful building JD!

Aww thank you! ❤
My favorite series with the house and barn restoration. Love the videos as always Jimmy!
Amazing! Can I ask where those chandeliers came from? Thanks!
Amazing as usual. But PLEASE don’t tell me Jimmy & Taylor are no longer an item. 😭 I hope I’m overthinking this.
Beautiful barn! I bet 4 years ago those windows would have been 12 -13k. Covid gave everyone the license to double the price on stuff

I love the look of the lights and that they are dark sky friendly!

Thank you! It was Patrick’s ideas we developed together
Really nice lights …..why is it so hard to find quality products anymore 😊
You are spreading yourself thin. Pace yourself Brother
You have lots of irons in the fire. I go back and re-watch earlier videos on several of the projects. Good work all around.
With the amount of wood in that building I would make sure you had a fire suppression system fitted or sprinklers
Always beautiful work! I love the look of the lighting and the barn. Can’t wait to see the leather shop! Thanks for sharing
you can offer to rent spaces to horses, and if they forget to pay, you can move the horses to the upstairs business!!!!!
Wow... It's really looking beautiful in there, Jimmy! 😮
Amazing choices and work!!!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
So sorry to hear you guys split up, that’s though. Much love Jimmy.
Props to you for living the dream and building cool shi. All your buildings from workshop, old house, cemetery house, horse barn are beautiful. Love your work my friend
👍😎🍺🍩🗜️🛠️
Wow - what a beautiful horse barn. A lot of attention to detail and quality.
Looking super stylish 👍
A collection of giant bandsaws and barns 😂
dude those fixtures need Edison bulbs, would look so much cooler
it would be crazy and cool to have a walk bridge from that barn to the other one
Or a secret tunnel 🤣
I love all of this! The small updates on Patreon make the TH-cam reveals more interesting.
Sweet 🙌🙌
Jimmy that barn is looking awesome
Of course they are cheeper than the vintage lights
Looking forward to seeing it finished when you get to it. Nice work
Steel lights…. For sure i will get some too. Beautiful!
Is everyone named Mike? 😀
Mike the architect, Mike the carpenter, Mike the fireman?
Yes 😂😂😂
Dude that looks amazing! Its really coming along.
That is going to be some leather studio 💯
Your barn is awesome!!
These lights are stunning ❤

I work where that door @4:05 was produced
The windows open outside: why?
Hopefully your horse tenants do not stink up your leather workshop with their funk. Amazing build!
Looks great, cool lights, awesome job Patrick 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Just my opinion. Perfect inside but outside with amber light warm light bulbs would be perfecto. A beauty of a dream barn 👌
Jimmy dostum harika işler yapıyorsun. Güzel günlerde kullan.

What a nice barn, looks awesome 👌 I want that boat! 😀
Truly beautiful! Those lights were the right choice. Can’t wait for all the leather projects you’ll do in that studio. 😁❤️
Fantastic work Jimmy & Crew! I am not an electrician but my stepson is. So I am sending him this video to watch and I know that he will enjoy it. Also, gottal love those Turkeys! 👍👍🦃🦃
Would it even be possible to have a studio on top of a functioning horse barn? the smell would get pretty overwhelming I think, no?
congratulations, enjoy it. saludos desde ARGENTINA
Beautiful, thanks. If I was a horse I'm not so sure I'd like to live under a leather shop, though ;-).
That Barn looks absolutely amazing can’t wait to see it finished Jimmy. You and the guys are doing a great job as always.
Nice
I have the same Lights, the Bees love them too !!
I feel you on the window cost; I’m converting a loft in the UK and having high standards repeatedly savages my wallet!
Barn looks great even in an unfinished state. Those lights are perfect and surprisingly priced very reasonable. Thanks for sharing.
Pricing now seems double in All things : Thank you Bidenomics !
Nice job on the custom made light mounting blocks! Place is looking wonderful.
Very nice.
I'm surprised that there's no sub floor beneath the floorboards. I guess that's the way they always did 'em. It does seem more appropriate for a horse barn.
This place looks incredible, everyone involved deserves a😊 huge pat on the back for sure
Looking good , luv the lights,
Patrick really did a fantastic job! I'd call it mor of a high-end loft look rather than an industrial look.
Brilliant work as ever, wish I could come over and help you with your projects!! ❤
Rock on Mr. D.
Incredible
Thank you for installing fixtures that actually direct the light down, rather than wasting it spreading up to the sky!
Your vision becomes reality again…. 👊🏼…
( that is one tame turkey , Sir )
