My friend once got a Golden Mushroom; he rolled a 6. So I chanted “SIX SIX SIX” and he rolled it. I was freaking out and that’s probably my most hype Mario Party moment.
I played a game with my cousins, since there was no 4th player, we just had an easy mode Toad. Every team minigame had us going "pull your weight, toad!" He won.
Yeah, ikr? They treat it like a normal triple numbers instead of lucky number 7 after!... until Mario Party DS, which is ironically when the extra coins stopped xD They even played different music for the 7's!! See, this is just one of the reasons why DS is best uwu There's so much thought, personality, effort, and content put into a handheld Party game!... Or, maybe that's just the nostalgia talking... ^^;;
But, like, why? 2 and 3 were E-rated anyway, and E10+ was only introduced after 6 came out… In 2 and 3, there was amazingly awesome music for 777, but not for 77 or another triple. In 4, even 777 wouldn't play the first-prize theme that was included in the game anyway. From 5 to 8, double 7's would play the same music as other doubles and triple 7's would play the same music as other triples, even though 77 and 888 give the same prize of 30 coins. However, the difference between the double theme and the triple theme is actually amazing in 5, 6, and 7. In 8, the triple theme is just the double theme in a different key and with six notes prepended. In DS, the difference between the 88/888 theme and the 77/777 theme is ... not that big.

I've been playing Mario party eight for three years and the highest amount of coins in the game was 950, without matching numbers with twice and triple dice candy, this was a fifty turns game on the goomba pirates stage and I played it one sitting in the tag battle mode.
you still do get some coins regardless though, but I guess I see what you're saying. So for a double anything but 7 the probability is 9/100 and for double 7 is 1/100 (making the total 10/100, or 1/10) and similar for the triples (9/1000 for triple non-7 and 1/1000 for triple 7)
I'm lucky enough to have witnessed a triple 7 in Mario Party 8 TWICE in the same match! Had a party of people over and everyone couldn't believe it. It was back to back turns
Remember when, in the Runaway Guys’ play through of Mario Party 8, NintendoCapriSun/Tim got the triple 7 jackpot from a Thrice Candy? That was awesome!
And as Jon seemed to have realized, if this is what's happening on the first board, then the rest of the playthrough was going to be _insane._ Indeed, the next time Tim uses the Thrice Candy, he gets the worst possible roll, only to land on a DK space and get a free fling to the star, while Emile was quick to point out the irony.

I remember playing the story mode in Mario Party 8, I was losing to Hammer Bro on the Bowser board. I got the triple dice thing and got three 10s, I won after that lol
I have, actually. I've only gotten it once in my life, but I was completely blown away when it happened. You can imagine how delighted I was when I saw that the reward was 300 coins. I don't think I will ever forget that moment. lol I wish I had footage of it.
My mother plays the game everyday (I'm serious), while she never got it herself, she paused and showed me Wario and Luigi on a team as CPUs that did lol once, this was like 8 years ago though.
It’s worth pointing out that you can get a 5 coin matching bonus inside Super Mario Party, more specifically the Team Party mode. Just match the numbers from both dice blocks from your team characters. For example, Mario uses his own dice block and gets a 3, and Daisy uses her dice to get another 3. There’s when they get the bonus.
On two separate occasions have I rolled 1-1-1 on the same space on Superstars’ Space Land. The coins weren’t enough to mitigate the fact that the second time it happened, I was 4 away from the star and lost it to an opponent.
Dice Blocks 1-3 sound like an electronic error or something, Dice Block in 4 sounds like someone playing steel drums, Dice Blocks 5-7 sounds like someone playing the xylophone, a harp like sound when they are struck, Dice Block in 8 sounds like a brick being busted,
If anyone of you guys are from Super Mario Party Jamboree, you’ll know on the Roll’em Raceway there’s a “Turbo Dice” item that lets you roll a total of 4 dice. Getting a 4 of a kind with any number with turbo dice is a 1 in 1000 chance, and with the 7s it’s a 1 in 10000 chance! (By the way, I don’t know what happens when you get that) Also, I got three 1s once on MP8 and had a mixed reaction afterwards. Nice to get the 30 coins, but bummed I didn’t go distant.
I was able to finally roll my first ever triple match ever, even if it was in jamboree. I rolled 2 8s and hoping for one more 8, and I got it. I was overjoyed because that was my first triple match ever. I'm not joking. What bonus is there for rolling quadruple matches and quadruple 7s?
I'm glad I found this video, I think this is the only source I've found talking about MP7 2v2 matches. I hit a mushroom match once and was surprised to get 50 for it and could only wonder what the gold shroom could give you... 300 is insane
Here’s the formula for getting matches for anyone curious. (# of faces)^(# of dice - 1) So matching 3 dice with 10 sides would be 10^(3-1)=10^2=100 This changes if you want a specific number, in that case just get rid of the -1
Craziest thing that ever happened to me. Playing Mario Party 6 and was ahead so everyone was targeting me. Someone was going to hit boo on this turn so I pulled out a golden mushroom to try and make it to the store and get an anti-boo item. I managed to roll triple 10s for 30 coins putting me in the 40s. Although store did not have the item, my thirty roll was large enough to hit not just 1 star but also make it to the star that spawned after that to buy both. Now this did end up making me an even bigger target but after getting a few more stars stolen I successfully tricked everyone into thinking that someone else had the happening star and won when people miscounted my actual star total.
also Mario Party Superstars and Super Mario Party Jamboree are the same mechanic as MP2 double dice (any number except 7): 10 coins double dice (lucky 7): 20 coins triple dice (any number except 7): 20 coins triple dice (lucky 7): 50 coins
Chugga should've been Mario to begin with, you know. That is, starting from MARIO PARTY 5. This is because his original character (yes, Donkey Kong), he was removed from the playable character roster (starting from MARIO PARTY 5). (NOTE: Donkey Kong in the real Mario Party series, he returned as a fully playable character beginning in MARIO PARTY 10. Then he was playable in MARIO PARTY STAR RUSH, SUPER MARIO PARTY, and MARIO PARTY SUPERSTARS. But in MARIO PARTY 5 through 9, he was temporarily removed from the playable character roster.) On the other hand, I still think he should've been Mario in both MARIO PARTY 7 and 8 (after not winning any board with Daisy in MARIO PARTY 5 and 6). But even if he did, he still would not have won a board with Mario either. That is why he switched to Toad in MARIO PARTY 7 and 8. (NOTE: Everyone should know that in the Mario Kart and Mario Party series Toad gives the players the best timing. Toad in the Mario Kart and Mario Party series, he is the fastest, strongest, and best character.)
Wow, insane video! I can't imagine how long this must have taken. No wonder there hasn't been a new Rare Oddities in a while. Hope for your sake the next Rare Oddities is a bit easier to accomplish. I love these!
3:43 "What digital dexterity!" Ballyhoo says this as if getting the same number is a sign of skill. Speaking of skill, it's funny how the jingles for Triple Numbers and Double Sevens are different in later entries, as if it's saying Triple Numbers are more impressive.
I was going to go into the probability of each dice roll, but you seem to have that covered in the video. Instead, I'll clarify that the Super Mini Mushroom also rolls 2 dice with values between 1 & 5 inclusively, and hit hit you guys up with a fun fact. The dice rolls in Mario Party 1 are also predetermined, but far more so than Mario Party DS and not just the Dice. practically every "random" decision in the game is made for each round... roughly when a minigame ends I think. Every action that happens is almost immutable. While this also includes the Turn order dice rolls, that situation can be a little different. Savestates show that the 4 numbers for the turn order are predetermined but not immutable. The key is to time when you hit the block compared to the other players. The game queues 4 pseudo-random numbers and waits to see who hits first. eg, if the queue has the numbers 1769, the player that hits the dice first will go last, the second will go 3rd, etc...
At 5:59, on the chart, Mario Party Legacy was wrong about the Golden Mushroom in Mario Party 4. It's actually 10 coins for the same numbers, 30 coins for three "3's", and 50 coins for three "7's". (Note: If you roll the same numbers--three 1's, 2's, 4's, 5's, 6's, 8's, 9's, or 10's--you get 10 coins.) We are sort of missing a "3 + 3 + 3" section on the chart. It should say nothing (in THAT CATEGORY) for every game except Mario Party 4. The Golden Mushroom gives you 30 coins for rolling three "3's" and 50 coins for three "7's". If you ask me where I recited this from, it's from Super Mario Wiki. And no, I did not edit that page...! ...UNLESS YOU HAVE PLAYED MARIO PARTY 4 AND GOT THREE "3'S" WITH THE GOLDEN MUSHROOM!
Um... The guy just said that in Mario Party 7's team based mode dice goes from a minimum of 1 to a maximum of 5, not 10. So there is no way that getting 6 sevens at once is possible.
You forgot doubles on Bowser's Board of Island Tour, unsubscribed!! >:( Nah seriously, great job doing this! I'm glad to see a new entry of this great series! Great job on covering all of those! Hope for you that your next Rare Oddities is less tedious haha :P
I've heard that if you roll three 6s, you LOSE coins, (at least in certain Mario Parties) (I heard in MP4 triple ODD numbers give you 30 and EVEN numbers give you 10)
I know that the dice blocks go from 1-5 for team based. But, if it were 1-10, getting 7s are as follows two 7s is 25 coins four 7s is 100 coins all six 7s is 999 coins!
10:46 to 11:11 That makes sense why he is underwater because getting 30 and 50 coins in Mario Party 5 sounds like I've reached land and got me some good ol' pirate booty.
The first time I got this was in Mario party ds. It was the last round and the cpu was closer to the star and I decided to use double dice and rolled 10 10. I was the luckiest that night
I remember the first time I ever played Mario Party 7 I was doing 8 player team mode. It was toward the end of the game and I wasn't doing so well. I used a gold mushroom and all 6 dice blocks matched. My mind was blown when Toadsworth handed us 300 coins. That allowed me to buy two more stars before the game ended. I wouldn't have won without that coin boost.
3:59 The Bowser and Bullet Bill candies don't do anything for matching doubles and triples And also Duel candies don't do anything for matching doubles
I don't know whether the game has been localized for Chinese releases, but 8 is apparently the "lucky number" in China rather than 7. If they did localize it for China, did they change that or did they keep it at 7?
i also like to throw this out there in Mario Party Island Tour there is only 1 double bonus in Bowser's Bizzare Volcano where its simply a 0 this also effects the Bowser Challenge this sounds horrible but the stage concept is reaching the goal is where you lose you want to roll low numbers on that board
I remember in Mario Party DS my teammate, Luigi or Yoshi, getting matching dice blocks, sometimes with double blocks and other times with triple dice blocks, regular numbers or 7. The other computers on the other team were doing it too. As for me? I got doubles a few times, and much less ever got triples. It Isn't ultra rare in Mario Party DS, but yes, uncommon!
I remember when I first saw 777s in Mario Party 8. Basically my brother and I were cheaters and if either of us got screwed, we reset the console. There was one time we reset because my brother lost all his coins or a star, I forget it's been a while since we played that together. When we reset the Console, Daisy used the Thrice Candy and immediately got triple 7s and got 100 coins....we also reset with that. Good times, but we don't reset anymore in Mario Party. Only because we don't play it anymore except for Super Mario Party which we play about once a week starting the day or the day after it came out. Ah memories.
Correction! In Mario Party DS's (Mario Party DS-DS/VC) the Golden Mushroom is back to 20 coins (like the Golden Mushroom in the first 2 games Mario Party 2 and Mario Party 3, and Mario Party 2-VC). Three "7's" in both versions of Mario Party DS is back to 50 coins. The Mushroom and two "7's" are unchanged (aside from the new mode in Mario Party 7). The Mushroom is 10 coins and two "7's" is 30 coins.
The Golden Mushroom in MARIO PARTY 4 is a bonus 10 coins for the same numbers (three 1's, 2's, 4's, 5's, 6's, 8's, 9's, or 10's), a bonus 30 coins for three "3's", and a bonus 50 coins for three "7's". Mario Party Legacy has also missed MARIO PARTY SUPERSTARS. For the Mushroom, it's a bonus 10 coins for the same numbers (but no special coin bonus for two "7's" unlike in previous installments from MARIO PARTY 1 through 8 and DS). In SUPERSTARS, for the Golden Mushroom, it's a bonus 20 coins (but no special coin bonus for three "7's" in previous installments from MARIO PARTY 1 through 8 and DS).

Here is the dice rolls of the same number, and getting 7s, and how much coins you get from that in the next Mario Party game: Mushroom: 10 coins 7+7: 50 coins Golden Mushroom: 50 coins 7+7+7: 100 coins Partner Party, and 8 Player Party: Normal: 5 coins 7+7: 10 coins Mushroom: 100 coins 7+7+7+7: 300 coins Golden Mushroom: 300 coins 7+7+7+7+7+7: 500 coins
I was looking at 6:01 in this video, Mario Party Legacy. On the table of coin bonuses for both the Mushroom and Golden Mushroom (in the Mario Party series), what do the "minuses" mean?
The dice in MP7 teams only go up to 5, do 7+7 and 7+7+7 don't apply, and there's no multiple-dice event other than the four main columns to go in the "Normal" column at the right except MP4 Super Mini Mushroom and MP7 teams.

Your probability calculations for the non-7 are wrong; the first roll does matter, as it can't be a 7.
Good thinking! That oversight completely escaped me
Double non-7's: 9%
Triple non-7's: 0.9%

Everyone else: But you're in 1st, you don't need more coins!
Hammer Bro: I'm getting triple sevens, AND NO ONE CAN STOP ME
On two separate occasions have I rolled 1-1-1 on the same space on Superstars’ Space Land. The coins weren’t enough to mitigate the fact that the second time it happened, I was 4 away from the star and lost it to an opponent.
I almost got the 300 coin bonus today in MP7. I rolled 2,2,2,2,4,2
Darn! So close!
What digital dexterity!
Dice Blocks 1-3 sound like an electronic error or something,
Dice Block in 4 sounds like someone playing steel drums,
Dice Blocks 5-7 sounds like someone playing the xylophone, a harp like sound when they are struck,
Dice Block in 8 sounds like a brick being busted,
If anyone of you guys are from Super Mario Party Jamboree, you’ll know on the Roll’em Raceway there’s a “Turbo Dice” item that lets you roll a total of 4 dice. Getting a 4 of a kind with any number with turbo dice is a 1 in 1000 chance, and with the 7s it’s a 1 in 10000 chance!
(By the way, I don’t know what happens when you get that)
Also, I got three 1s once on MP8 and had a mixed reaction afterwards.
@ I don’t know yet. It’s a mystery fresh out of the oven!
16:00 You rolled 3 sixes! You've summoned the devil!
It's nice to see dice-roll numbers match and get coins from them in Mario Party.
I swear I've gotten that 300 coin bonus before. I played so much MP7 when I was a kid, the RNG must have just taken pity on me.
FYI: Duelo Candy in Mario Party 8 lets you roll two dice blocks. Last time I checked, getting matching numbers with them does not give you any coins.
Wow. I've played all of these games as a kid, and I never even realized you get extra money for matching 7s.
(# of faces)^(# of dice - 1)
So matching 3 dice with 10 sides would be 10^(3-1)=10^2=100
This changes if you want a specific number, in that case just get rid of the -1
Craziest thing that ever happened to me. Now this did end up making me an even bigger target but after getting a few more stars stolen I successfully tricked everyone into thinking that someone else had the happening star and won when people miscounted my actual star total.
also Mario Party Superstars and Super Mario Party Jamboree are the same mechanic as MP2
double dice (any number except 7): 10 coins
double dice (lucky 7): 20 coins
triple dice (any number except 7): 20 coins
triple dice (lucky 7): 50 coins
It took a lot of patience and determination to find all the results of identical dice rolls in all Mario Party games. Great job.
I bet the runawayguys would love this!!
-Okay but what if you did this in Super Mario Party-
No double/triple rolls match=5 coins
I've been waiting for these kinds of analyses of Mario Party games my entire life
>Mario and Peach working together and roll the same dice blocks
Toadsworth: "Wow, talk about great chemistry!"
Indeed.
14:47 2 last dice blocks
My dad actually got double 7's on his first game of Mario Party 5 and he got 30 coins. I was in disbelief.
I remember i got a triple seven while playing mario party 8 with my family. I think they still think I cheated that to this day.
Thank you! Someone finally done it!!
3:43 "What digital dexterity!"
Ballyhoo says this as if getting the same number is a sign of skill.
Speaking of skill, it's funny how the jingles for Triple Numbers and Double Sevens are different in later entries, as if it's saying Triple Numbers are more impressive.
I swear, in Mario Party 3 when i get a Mushroom, i try to hit the blocks with the same timing and it works, the numbers matches, i swear, man.
I once got a 6 2s in Mario party 7 in a team match one of my first video game freak outs I can remember
The triple 6 should take away 50 coins for having bad luck.
Or maybe an instant bowser space?
Yesssssss I was waiting for another one of these
When you match the numbers from the dice blocks, you get 10 coins or 30 coins.
If it were up to me, the coin giveaway would be
Mushroom: 10
77: 20
Mega: 50
777: 100
Payday Mushroom: 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 34, 26, 28, 30
Payday Mega: 53, 56, 59, 62, 65, 68, 121, 74, 77, 80
Mario Party Superstars:
Doubles: 10 coins
Double 7’s: 30 coins
Triples: 20 Coins
Triple 7’s: 50 Coins
I remember one time years ago when I had a CPU player get three sevens in MP8. You can probably imagine my surprise...
I’m gonna guess that getting 7+7+7+7+7+7 just straight up gives 999 coins, or whatever the max is. It’s LITERALLY a 1-1,000,000 chance. It’s 1 in 10^6
(1/3125 or 1/15625) for 1-5. for 1-10 its 1/10000 or 1/100000.
Um... The guy just said that in Mario Party 7's team based mode dice goes from a minimum of 1 to a maximum of 5, not 10. So there is no way that getting 6 sevens at once is possible.
14:56 It's really really crazy 300 coin bonus, INSAAAANE!!!!!!
You forgot doubles on Bowser's Board of Island Tour, unsubscribed!! >:(
Nah seriously, great job doing this! I'm glad to see a new entry of this great series! Great job on covering all of those!
Hope for you that your next Rare Oddities is less tedious haha :P
This just in! You get 5 coins for rolling doubles in Partner Party of Super Mario Party!!
Well that must have taken forever.
He said he used savestates to get all this.
Amazing video! Loved it. 1 in 3125... That is indeed very rare.
I've heard that if you roll three 6s, you LOSE coins, (at least in certain Mario Parties) (I heard in MP4 triple ODD numbers give you 30 and EVEN numbers give you 10)
07:16 and 08:27
also plays when setting a new record in a Mini-Game
I know that the dice blocks go from 1-5 for team based. But, if it were 1-10, getting 7s are as follows
two 7s is 25 coins
four 7s is 100 coins
all six 7s is 999 coins!
All six 7s has to be a Star
16:01 666 BONUS “good” joke
The odds of getting all 6 numbers the same is 1 in 3125. That is some crazy luck!
10:46 to 11:11 That makes sense why he is underwater because getting 30 and 50 coins in Mario Party 5 sounds like I've reached land and got me some good ol' pirate booty.
Ive gotten all of these atleast once, except for the mario party 7 team ones. Those are insane.
3:59 The Bowser and Bullet Bill candies don't do anything for matching doubles and triples
And also Duel candies don't do anything for matching doubles
It’s really happening to me in Mario party 8 I rolled Double 10
I don't know whether the game has been localized for Chinese releases, but 8 is apparently the "lucky number" in China rather than 7. If they did localize it for China, did they change that or did they keep it at 7?
There should have been a bonus for getting a perfect 20 with the Mushroom or a perfect 30 with the Golden Mushroom
It’s still the same coin prize. You’re rolling double/triple 10s
@@speedymatt1236 I meant a higher bonus for rolling the max on a Mushroom/Golden Mushroom
i also like to throw this out there in Mario Party Island Tour there is only 1 double bonus in Bowser's Bizzare Volcano where its simply a 0 this also effects the Bowser Challenge this sounds horrible but the stage concept is reaching the goal is where you lose you want to roll low numbers on that board
Peculiar peak but yes
Pardon me, but you forgot about what happens when you roll doubles and double 7s while using Duelo Candy in Mario Party 8...
There's no bonus
The videos now needs to be updated for Mario Party: Superstars!
And Jamboree!
Doing a mp8 map (Goomba's booty boardwalk) in minecraft. This helped alot thx.
My fav channel
I once got matching nines in Mario party 3, I was so happy😁
First person to to do this! You’re awesome! This will hopefully get viewed by every MP fan! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
That reminds me, a Hidden Item Block is 1 of the rarest things in Mario Party DS
WOW!!!!!!! You are very Determined!!!!!!
Oh my God i remember me playing Mario Party ds with Luigi. I felt so triggered when he literally threw a triple 7 ^^ I quit the game and threw away my red Nintendo. It was broken:( I told me mom my little brother who was like 1 year old at this Time jumped on it. She believes me till now xD
Hello Michael I just read this it is amazing rolling three dice with the same number it happened once to me in Mario Party 7 when I played with my friends using double dice I was few spaces to get the next star with low coins ended up with the same numbers plus the ten coins and got the star awesome video keep it up.
16:06 Mermaid Man: EVIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIL!!
Shouldn't they taken off coins for this?
The second half of the video becomes "Rolling dice in Mario Party ASMR"
I wonder what would happen if Bowser happens to get the same number of rolling dice blocks in Mario Party 2 when summoned with the Bowser Bomb.
Here is the dice rolls of the same number, and getting 7s, and how much coins you get from that in the next Mario Party game:
Mushroom: 10 coins
7+7: 50 coins
Golden Mushroom: 50 coins
7+7+7: 100 coins
Partner Party, and 8 Player Party:
Normal: 5 coins
7+7: 10 coins
Mushroom: 100 coins
7+7+7+7: 300 coins
Golden Mushroom: 300 coins
7+7+7+7+7+7: 500 coins
I like it. The only thing I would change is the double 7s bonus. Classic double 7s is still 30 🪙 but in 8-player mode, double 7s are 50 🪙.
16:00: _THE DEVIL IS COMING RIGHT IN YOUR DOORSTEP..._
14:47 dice blocks double 3
7:00 Now move 101,010 spaces!
300 Coin Bonus?! That's not fair!
