I like the LT all star package with the 5.3 that comes with bucket seats and leather from the factory. Harder to find but they’re out there. If there’s a Z71 package on top of that, even better.

I have a 2023 Silverado LT. It has a 10 spd transmission and so far it runs well. I tow a RV trailer and dont have to use tow haul mode. It does have a trailer brake controller installed. I find it a little harder on gas than my previous 2018 Silverado LT but thats because of the 10 spd transmission.

This truck is rated to tow 9,000 lbs, but the 2FL package doesn't include the integrated trailer brake controller! That takes it off of the table for me.

This is an entry level lt truck. Sadly the drivetrain is it's biggest problem. The 8spd has several class action lawsuits pending. The 4cyl turbo is unproven. The 5.3 / 10spd combo is the one you want in a 1/2 ton. They all get the new dash unless you go with the work truck.
Custom doesn’t have the new interior either which is silly… I think for most truck users, the 4 cylinder is fine but I agree, I like the idea of an 8 cylinder 👍🏾
The 2.7 was the only motor to not fail torture testing for this truck. For 2024, gm is offering a 100,000 warranty on this motor because they are so confident that it will not fail.
Warranty or not, your resale value will suffer horribly. At 100k miles, it will be a

@geoff1954 Well, the iron duke 2.5 and Cadillac 4-6-8 say otherwise. And don't forget about the failure chevy diesel non turbo from the square body.
Maybe they need to pick up Groceries.
I'll keep my 2014. All this technology isn't worth it. It's very costly to replace.
I rarely hear about a “lot” issues with the tech but I’m sure there are some examples out there
The electronics are usually the first thing to go, not mechanical.
This truck has transmission issues my truck is the shop now save your money
Don’t do it’s the worst my truck is in shop with transmission problems
Fuel tank too small, and Autotrac with no low range, no thanks.
