Yeah he did do HellBoy, I like his style and he should do more Super Hero movies. #SuckerPunch wasn't a great movie but had some of the best CGI fight scenes that's missing in movies like X-Men and Fantastic Four.
HellBoy still has the best prosthetic costumes that look so true to the comic.

Danny the Street is identified as transgendered in the New 52 (as this is what Red Robin refers to him as), but in Grant Morrison's run, he's described as "transvestite," as in a crossdresser. This is important to note because Danny is named after a famous singer and entertainer known for his crossdressing performances: Danny La Rue-"La Rue" being French for "The Street."
The way Danny crossdressed was that he'd adorn masculine shops and such with frilly, pink, or otherwise feminine decor and do things like offer a free rose with every box of ammo. He was also home of the Perpetual Cabaret, which housed many drag performances (in fact, they end up defeating the villain of his introductory arc by dressing him up in drag). This is still canon as of Gerard Way's current run, in which Danny expresses a desire to slip into some eight-inch heels, but settles for saving reality instead.
It's possible he's both transgendered and a crossdresser, but he's only been referred to as one of them once in a brief cameo appearance and it's uncertain whether or not the writer or character who said it might've mistaken one "trans" for the other.
Either way, he's one of my favorites just for the reaction I get from people when I say "sentient, crossdressing street" as an introduction to the character. I just love the idea of this strip of land being a living being with a colorful personality.

Beast Boys first appearance was in Doom Patrol 99, he was basically raised by the Doom Patrol.
Good video. The problem with the doom patrol, it keeps running out of weirdness and being doomed. Would like to see weirder villains, pocket worlds, space or time travel, a sex android for robot man, and a retro flying saucer that keeps breaking down.
That is the point of Doom Patrol. The Strangest Superheroes after all. In comics particularly DC Universe, every heroes is perfect and handsome. Lets look at Superman, Batman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman...they all perfect, that is why people in DC Universe love them and always admire Justice League

@@calebmayfield3326 Here we go. They're considered perfect because of their looks and powers in comparison to other teams. When we refer to them as "perfect", we're not talking about Wonder Woman's dark abilities, Supergirl's Red Lantern storyline, Aquaman possessing a Black Lantern ring and resurrecting Aquababy so Mera joins forces with him, Superman becoming Doomsday, or Green Arrow being raped by Shado.

Back then it seems like Marvel and DC intentionally copied each other such as: Black Lightning & Black Bolt, Bruce Wayne & Tony Stark, Cap & Supes. However, I think this was unintentional

ItsYaBoiLeroy ! Black Bolt is an augmented human who is king of similarly augmented humans who's powers come from his voice where he can't even whisper without shattering buildings. Black Lightning is a dude with electric powers. Only the names are similar
Marvel and DC share writers constantly. Also Thanos is a Darkseid copycat, then the guy who made Thanos went to work at DC and he made Mongul.

That 6:45 was cover made by Malaysian Chinese guy Tan Eng Huat. In 2000s he move to Dc from long running Gempak Comic. Now more malaysian comic died out.
Read the original run of the doom patrol when I was a youngster (57 now) loved it and hated it when they were all blown up but it conveyed a difference in writing and style that is timeless.

Hey Faust I have an idea for a vid considering your amount of subscriptions. It could be like a quick shots of summarizing characters like telling us they're names powers maybe some important facts. And for the characters I'm thinking all of the characters that appeared in the last episodes of the teen titans cartoon
It's like every weird incarnation is cancelled because of a decrease in sales, but they keep creating characters that alienate the reader and move further from the spirit of the original series. "In their 8th incarnation, they're led by a manic-depressive peanut butter sandwich named Steve Nutter." Oh really? No wonder this book gets cancelled!

it starts normal, but I promise that doesn't last long. It's a fantastic beginning, but as far as Grant Morrison's Doom Patrol goes, his best was yet to come. If you find Crawling From he Wreckage enjoyable at all, I highly, highly recommend you continue reading Morrison's run. I've read comics for over 30 years and it still ranks as one of the greatest, most unique and engaging stories I've ever had the pleasure of reading.

Great vid...I'm a little disappointed you didn't mention 'Rebis', my personal favorite! My favorite DP villain was a member of the Brotherhood of Dada...'The Quiz'. She was a Japanese woman who was also an extreme germaphobe. Her powers were that she had EVERY superpower you 'haven't thought of'...so, as you fight her, you had to name abilities so she'd start to lose them!

I started with MGA run and the originals. To be honest, I was never really happy with any of the later incarnations, and the best posthumous run of any of the characters for mr was the Teen Titans finding Gen. Immortus and the Brotherhood of Evil as Cliff sought revenge for the killing [sacrifice, not suicide] of the team.

I ran a marvel comic RPG for years and a lot of my character they in countered have a disabilities that there powers help them deal with. There was Bondo based on a former co worker that has Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. His power was basically a technomancer he could cause technology to bond with him for limited times even if the tech was not fully functional for short periods of time. Like bonding with a disabled sentinel to take control of it or bonding with a car he is driving to counter act running out of gas but he did go through a lot of munchies and naps that road trip.

you know with the popularity of the x-men movies i'm surprised dc and warner bros haven't tried releasing a doom patrol movie. With potential the first series had alone, the grant morrison and rachel pollock run would make them more than the avengers.
There have been talks about it for several years, but it never even got as far as justice league dark did, with naming a director, even though he has now dropped out.
