A quick comparison of the table load times between the ALP 4K and HD machines. Also show a flipper lag comparison between the machines and between the Zen and Magic Pixel tables on the 4K.
The 4K looks great. I'm sure they will fix that lag with a future update. It sucks, but that's the nature with games these days especially a live service type. Thanks for the comparison video.
Yeah, I'm sure they'll get it nailed down. Takes time to optimize on a new platform. They'll want to bring more of their library to the cabinet, so it's worth the effort.
Unfortunately the lag is probably built in due to the refresh rate of the screen. Not a software issue. If they could fix it they'd have done so. It played like that at Pinball Expo in Chicago. Should've been fixed before shipping. So sorry it probably won't be fixed. Had high hopes.
Not sure I agree with that. A 60Hz display is 80ms. All other tables on the machine do not have the problem we see in the Addams Family table. I think this is just a matter of Zen getting optimized on a new platform.@@jjsrt8
Ah yeah! I picked up a pair of those to install in the pedestal. Going to put them on the player 3 & 4 positions and just remap the games that support them in MAME.
I figure Zen will get the flipper lag down to a reasonable level eventually. When Pinball FX first released on PS5 it had noticeable flipper lag, but they quickly updated it to fix that.
Great video. Can you bring 4K pinball forward so it is next to each other, it will be easier for us to see 😊 and for you to record as well. Do you have to login each time you turn off the 4K pinball? The old one it seem like you need to.
Ask and ye shall receive! I'm uploading a new video now, which should be ready in about an hour. You do not have to login each time you power on. As long as it can connect to the Internet, it will login automatically and sync the high scores.
It was mostly just lack of space and a bit of burnout with swapping and upgrades and such. I have the multicade pedestal that plays what I need, so the cabinets were more for decoration. I did really enjoy them, but wanted to free up space for some of my other retro systems and projects.
Great video Danny

@@jjsrt8 that's just plain wrong.
You’d think that the flipper lag would be the first thing they would sort before deciding it’s good to ship.
Nice. I peeped the Glenn's Ikari Stick in the Cut there.

I would love to have a 4K pin. The issue I have is I have 5 EM pinball machines. Used to have about 18 EMs. Now down to 9 and have added 9 A1Us.
I watched the flippers a few times. 4K seems to lag compared to HD. Updates should fix it.
What made you get rid of your cabs?

I hope they fix the flipper lag in addams family soon!! So sad to see them ship
It out like this …
