Thanks for the video Danny. Have you considered just throwing your POV files up somewhere for download? I've got a 4KP also and your settings look great in all the videos I've watched from you.

Cirqus Voltaire is always a tricky one to get right for POV, because 'right' could be different for different people. I have the playfield DMD cropped down on mine because I have a DMD screen (with a colored DMD) that I think looks better, but I still find the half DMD in the original amber to be distracting.

Interesting. I considered going that route as well, but kept it this way, since if felt a little unique to this table. The great thing is that it's flexible enough to allow everyone to tweak it however they want. The best of all worlds. =)

Thank you for putting this together and taking time to explain. This was very inspiring! I need to learn how to get this all setup. That table looks phenomenal! far better than anything available from the Atgames packs. I have a 3070 so it should run well if I can figure it out 😅

Question for you not really related to pov, but I've been struggling with this tables dmd in vpx. Ive downloaded the same b2s as you and I've been trying to hide the dmd and only use the dmd that's on the playfield. How did you go about hiding the dmd?

For that, you have to press F1 while running the table. That'll pop up a menu. If you don't see the menu, press Alt + Tab, because it's probably behind the playfield. On that menu, there are 2 options for DMD. Make sure both are unchecked and then exit/reload. DMD should be gone.

@@DannyWelch Thanks for the prompt response. Yea I've tried that and it still shows up for some reason. Weird.

How does Cirqus Voltaire run for you in 10.8? It’s a little choppy for me in 10.8 but runs fine in 10.7 but I’d rather use the POV features in 10.8.

I'm not seeing any stutter or choppiness in 10.8. I'm using the GL64 version and running on an RTX 2080 Super.

If you save it in 10.8 will
It also automatically save in pinup popper?

No, I go into the Game Manager and set an alternate launcher after I finish editing. I had already done that for Cirqus Voltaire, so didn't show it. Probably should have edited a new table. =P

Still on the fence on picking up a table. I have a 2070 GPU pc ready to go and a full library of the latest FX games on steam. OTG is the main draw.
VPX seems daunting to set up. If I wanted to easily set up FX (Steam) would you still recommend Pinup Popper? Should I use Joy2Key still for flipper mapping ? Or Steam ?

VPX is easier than ever! Check out this excellent tutorial from Rudy's Arcade. th-cam.com/video/yIsowrFRoWg/w-d-xo.html
After you follow this, you'll have Pinup Popper setup, along with Visual Pinball 10.7 and 10.8, Future Pinball, and configurations that support Pinball FX and FX3 in Steam. After that, you just need JoyToKey, if you want to use Pinball FX3, because you can't remap the gamepad controls there and are forced to use keyboard mappings.

@@DannyWelch perfect, thank you for the fast response! Last question: Did you upgrade to goldleaf button/switches?

@@Comrade2k7 Not yet, but I will as soon as my SSF kit arrives. Figured I'd wait, rather than take it apart twice. =)

Seems like a great value - are you happy with the screens, haptics, overall quality? Any regrets? I plan on ordering attack from mars with SSF tomorrow, will use mostly for VPX and Pinball FX from my pc since I hear the stock tables run poorly. Gonna cost around $2k, so I believe looking at competition you still can't beat that price for what you are getting.

I've been quite happy with the machine, since I hooked up a PC for VPX/FX/FX3. The machine is a good size, even for me at 6'3". It looks much more like an authentic pinball cabinet with a proper backbox and full DMD. All 3 screens look great. Buttons are decent, but I'll be swapping them for Goldleaf buttons, since they are my favorites. The accelerometer doesn't currently work with OTG. I hope that can be resolved with a firmware update.
I'm not sure I'd feel the same without OTG, since the variety of tables that run on the internal hardware is limited at the moment (*many* of the Zaccaria tables feel too similar to me). With OTG, it's pretty amazing.

@@DannyWelchThanks for the reply Danny! I really appreciate your detail and insights! I think I'll be preordering one today. You have the very best honest reviews on youtube on here for this table that has some questionable feedback. Other's seem less genuine.
