Thanks for the update! I don't blame you for not connecting it online at all. This is one of the reasons I have held off is because they have direct control over how we play our games. Hopefully the community will come out with custom firmware to resolve this once and for all.
I purchased my new ALU and am using the factory installed firmware . It’s not 5.7 but similar to 5.6 . I’m running one sauce and my bit LCD as well. Will never hook up the wifi.
Ok im.more confused than ever about this. Im on the fence about getting bei g its the same price as an a1u with the avabality to play the same games. Esp mvc 1&2, nba jam, and streetfighters So does coin ops work on this or not? You mentioned hdmi port. I have coinops arcade on my pc does tbst mean if i ran am hdmi cord to it, it would work regardless of the firmware? Not looking to brick a 600$ cabinet.
I don't think the new Arcade 1ups will work as they have new firmware. If you were to plug in a PC to HDMI, it should work you'll just have to map controller through Bluetooth or some other method and not sure if both control sticks are mapped.
Does anyone know if your on 5.68 firmware and go online does it automatically update? I have a legends ultimate on 5.68 and bought a bitpixel marquee and need to download pixelcade from the appstore but i dont want to update my cab. The fear of my addon games stop working is real 😅
I really like to know how you can avoid going online? I can play the coinops but after about 4 times turning on/off the machine it won't work unless I logon to my account. So, please let us know how you workaround the account login. Thanks!
As far as I recall, if you have firmware below 5.68 then you'll have to "verify" online for CoinOpsX to continue working and obviously this will be a problem if you can only upgrade to 5.70+ so I'd suggest contacting AtGames to see if you can get older versions and if not, then not sure myself 🤔
@@gogeekgaming what version do you have? So, it's not asking you to login at all? I hate having to do this as I never use their online features. I only bought this to be able to run emulators and front ends like Coinops.

At least for me, haven't experienced automatic updates when I was online although I keep offline unless there's a reason to get online.

Hi, My alu 1.1 has never been online. Can i still install coinopsX and one sauce offline?
One Sauce yes but for CoinOpsX, I only know of installing through AppX store which would require online access.
Where can i get the firmware that you have.
You'll have to contact AtGames Support as I don't know of another way to get previous firmware.
Search for a video posted about a week ago, there's a tutorial with a link included, finally got my machine unhosed.
