Setting up my new Power Vision tuner by Dynojet for the 2022 FXLRST

- In today's video I attempted to flash the tune that I downloaded last night. I downloaded a tune from the dynojet website thinking it would work with my 2 into 1 exhaust and the stock high flo air filter system. Since the bike is so new there was only a select few tunes for it on the website. I input my year make and model and the available tunes popped up so I downloaded one. For some reason while flashing it to the bike it said there was an error and it was the incorrect strategy. I will need to contact Power Vision to see what is going on. I will post an update once I am able to find a tune that will work.

Back during March 2022...I went with the Dynojet Power Vision PV3b Tuner (for 2021 & 2022 HD motorcycles) for my 2021 Road Glide Special. Purchased mine through Fuel Moto which included a Custom Map by Fuel Moto based on my combination of mods/upgrades. For my bike: 2021 Touring, Air/Oil Cooled 114, RDRS equipped, Strategy 28, Fan added to Oil Cooler, S&S 2-1 Sidewinder Exhaust (w/catalyst), S&S 465 Cam, Fuel Moto/K&N # 3956 Air Cleaner, stock 10.5:1 compression ratio & stock Heads. The first Map was for Strategy 27, so it would not work on my bike. Emailed Fuel Moto, and they programmed the Map for Strategy 28. Installed Map and my bike runs absolutely beautiful.
Dynojet has recently (November 2022) come out with the TT-8 Wideband O2 Sensor Kit for use on Strategy 28 ECM Harleys. I have a revised tune from Fuel Moto to take advantage of the wideband O2 sensors, once I change out the stock OE narrowband 12mm sensors for the wideband 18mm sensors. It's important to know what Strategy is in the ECM on your Harley.
Have other mods planned, more displacement (from 114 to 120 cu.in) via bore/hone from stock 4.016" (stock 114 bore) to 4.125" bore (per HD, max bore allowed on stock 114/117 cylinders is 4.180"), and slight bump in compression (from 10.5 to 10.75:1) via Carillo 4.125" 10.75:1 forged pistons. Also will be installing the S&S 55mm Intake Manifold (ported by Ward) and upsizing Injectors to 5.5's. Basically doing my own version of the HD-SE Stage-4 114-to-117 Kit except going to 120 cubes and not using the upper rpm-ish HD-SE Stage-4 Cam.
I noticed that dynojet had nothing either. I originally wanted the vance and hines fp4 because the rockford fosgate stereo, navigation and everything else needs to be through my phone anyway, but turns out they don't have iphone suport only android, and no cam or big bore tunes. I ended up going with the power vision and fuel moto for the tune. Got talked into the woods 22xe cam too, whoops. lol
@2kanchoo I reached out to dynojet through the their website dynojet.com and I had explained to them the issue I was having and also told them the year make and model of my bike as well as the pipe that I am running. They actually just got back to me this morning, and they have sent me a base tune specifically for the '22 117lrs's and they say that it should work for my set up. I have not downloaded it yet, but once I get home and download it I plan on making a video of the process of what the outcome will be.

@@kurbaniak Hi there, I picked mine up from OFP cycles in Suisun City. They had them in stock when I picked mine up. I had purchased mine like a week before the price increase that Dyno Jet rolled out.
Would you rate this over the fp4, I have a 2022 street bob and want a bassini exhaust system keeping my 114 air filter as that's stage 1 capable and kill the back two O2 senors front rear exhaust (UK bike has four sensors two front two back) completing the stage one, then next year get the stage 2
I honestly wouldn't know, as I have never used the fp4. So far this tuner is very user friendly though.
You can re use them on other bikes with the purchase of a license…

Regarding the AT300, not at the moment. I have just been using the Auto tune basic feature which seems to be working out
Have you resolved the Incorrect Strategy issue already? Mind sharing how did you addressed that?
Hi there. I reached out to Dynojet via email and told them that my PV was showing a message of Unrecognized Model 2022 YXZ and told them I had a Thunderheader 2into 1 exhaust with the stock heavy breather intake and how I could not find a tune on their website. They got back to me about a week later and sent me a tune that I was able to successfully download and flash to the bike. If you would like to give me your email I can send you the tune.

The tuner didnt have to retrieve the ecu data first?
The tuner downloads the stock tune first and stores it so that you can always re-flash it to stock if needed.
How did you download the tune onto your PV?
So as far as downloading goes it's as simple as installing the software from the dynojet website onto a computer then you can download tunes from dynojet as well. BUT I have not been able to download a tune for this bike from their website. So I am currently using the auto tune feature where the pv is connected to the bike and is learning and making adjustments as I ride.
You fill out the tune request form on their website and you will receive an email with the tune attached…takes 3-5 days in my experience.
Can you remove the speed limit with this one? Also increase RPMS
I don't believe so , but don't quote me on that. I haven't played around with it too much

I think your bike is just air cooled. Guessing that the tune doesn’t match the bike.
According to HD this bike is twin cooled (oil/air)

Hi Shawn, I finally heard back from dynojet and they have sent me a compatible tune, I will make a new video of the download process/outcome on the new tune.
