Took some great photos in Valletta, Malta the other day with my Canon EOS R6 Mark II and the Canon EF 70-200 f2.8, and this is how the images turned out.

I'm thinking of buying this type of lens, but I'm on a tight budget. Do you think the EF 70-200mm F/4 will do the job? Or should I save and wait a bit longer?
I think the F4 version will do about 80% of what the f2.8 can do. But if that’s what you can afford, it’s perfectly okay to start with it. I’d say go test it out in a store or rent them both to try out first because they lose their value a lot very quickly, especially the EF versions so if you think you could sell the f4 later to get the 2.8, you most probably have to sell it at a loss.

Yeah no, it was shot on the BlackMagic Camera app on the iPhone 15 Pro and the exposure was all over the place for some reason, trying to correct it would have taken too long so I just left it.🫤
