I bought a 2024 last weekend and really enjoy it so far. I got 39mpg on the road trip back and it's really comfy. Drives well and the CVT isn't clunky like the Nissan Junk. So far, very happy.

I had a Nissan before buying my 2024 Malibu and totally agree the Malibu having a smoother CVT. The Turbo is also snappy 👀. Sadly the Malibu will be discontinued in November 2024 after selling about 10 million units in 50 years. The Corvette will be the only car left in the Chevrolet lineup .Glad I bought one.

@@jy9383 I am shocked that I bought the last year of the Malibu. Makes me want to keep it for a collection although it'll probably not be worth much. Lol.

@@chevyblock550 well..I did buy a kinda rare Lakeshore Blue color. It was the first time and last time ever the RS is offered in that color. Last I checked there was only 60 RS models with that color when I did a nationwide search in January. It turns some heads for some reason lol even at the dealership when I went to get my first oil change 😅 I am super happy with my purchase even if not worth a lot now and even if it doesn't become a collector item .

@@jy9383 I have a Malibu I feel the same way, i'd like to think now that it's going out of production soon it would be vauble in the future. The only problem is they've made so many of them they won't be uncommon or collectable for a long time.

I just rented one this last weekend and am now considering buying one. I really enjoyed how smooth the ride was and how easy it drove. Plenty of power for everyday driving and was very comfortable. You really can’t beat the price also!

I take issue with many of the statements made here. I had a long term rental of a '24 LT. THis is one sweet ride. It is so nice I'm selling my Genesis to upgrade to this car. It is luxurious, finely appointed inside, and everything feels solid and well put together. THis car is no slug. It is fast, plenty fast. The engine feels confident and powerful with no tinny rattle. Expressway on ramps in Boston traffic were a cinch. I had no idea this was a turbo as I sure didn't feel it. This car tracks beautifully on the expressway and handles like a Euro sport sedan. As far as the CVT, you are dead wrong. This thing accelerates terrifically with total aplomb. Again, a confident and smooth transmission, well matched to the engine. In short a dream.
My biggest complaint is wind noise. A noticeable amount from the rear. (none from the sunroof, even opened, just like my Genesis). How did the engineers not hear this noise? A few dollars of insulation would silence it. My only other issue is I wish the wireless Android Car play was better integrated into the info/entertainment system. It's pretty good but could be much better. Oh yeah, you get a spare tire, not a can of green goo. Love it, love it. LOVE IT!!!!

Honestly I own a 2016 and it has over 127k miles no issues. Maintenance done per usual and it runs like new. Really nothing to complain about. Easy to fix and good on gas. Starts every time. Inside has held up aswell. Idk I’m not particularly easy on my vehicles but I do take care of them. This or a Camry I’d save the money and get one of these just option it how u want. If you got the money or just plain like it get a Camry. I have no problem with the current generation malibus. It’s great since everything is atleast 15-20 min away minimal here in TX. I have my car for miscellaneous things and my truck for truck stuff until I reach my financial goals.

I bought the 2021 Malibu RS during the height of the virus fiasco and I’m pleased to report that at 44K miles, it’s been great so far. It’s my commute car while my 2500 Silverado hides in the garage. Just don’t beat the crap out of it and it will serve you well. I get about 35mpg and intend on keeping it till I retire in 2026.

If GM/Chevrolet is committed to keeping the Malibu, then they should have kept the Premier Trim with 2.0 Engine and Automatic Transmission to better compete with the Camry and the Honda Accord. Miss the Impala Premier V-6 😢😮. Nice video 🎉! 👏🙏

Never owned one but always liked them. I hate to see this car die. I never want to own an electric car Chevy is going die as no one going to want to buy one of them. I will avoid it doing so as long as possible. I am not alone on the way I see it. I have bought several new GM vehicles. I hate to see this happen. It is not progress in my view.

After having 2 CVT's die on my Nissan Sentra I too was reluctant to buy another car with CVT. The Malibu switched to CVT in 2020 and has no issues with it. Also, the Malibu's CVT can be repaired if needed and it serviced by anyone, not just at the dealer. Look up for any Malibu CVT issues online, you won't find any.
