Chevy is like the only American manufacturer who has a decent economy sedan. My son bought an RS and I really like it. It's not a sports car, but he doesn't need a BMW or something... and the mileage is decent. He actually got that color too... it is really pretty. It sort of looks different in different light.
I got one two weeks ago. Love it. This is one of the reviews I watched before buying. Ive loved this body since it came out. Its sexy me. I got a red one with more features than the one in the video.
Some of you are haters in the comments smh. Malibu is reliable and great on gas. Y'all are so worried about looks but not worried about how it drives and runs.
I think it’s a great looking car I like it I don’t know why the steering wheel looks that bad like the other person said, but string looks fine to me I like the car however, I’m not too fond of the power in the car they should’ve added some more turbobut oh well it’s a nice car
I just bought one two months ago. Was not happy about the cvt. My previous Cruze had the 6 speed. I have to say, It's really hard to tell it's a cvt. The power train is very responsive with great throttle response. It's very quiet ride, yet the handling is pretty firm. I will be changing the trans fluid every 40k, so hopefully, it lasts a long time!
My 2017 malibu 1LT has more features and the exact same power train as this except i have an automatic instead of a CVT, my malibu has rear vents, this one doesn’t, mine has front and rear parking sensors, heated mirrors and blind spot monitoring and keyless entry in all 4 doors. Only thing mine doesn’t have is lane keep, or auto high beams, very interesting how this car is equipped for an RS
I have a 2022 ls the ls has the 16" tires the smaller tires give the car a smoother ride. The Rs Lt & 2lt all have the same engine and hp as the base model all you get for more money is bigger rims some led lighting dual zone climate control leather and a more modern guage cluster not really worth it to me. Go w/ the ls it's a good car.
@@robertriley1569 I have a 2022 LS too. What you said is very true. When I first bought my LS, I was shocked how smooth it was on the road. Two years later, I'm still getting the same driving satisfaction out of it. Great daily driver!
I thought the only car GM still made was the Corvette, so this is a pleasant surprise. I still think the Trax is a better value if you want a Chevy for under 30K though.
Wel done review. Car is a decent value, esp as an RS level. Long production run should assure good assembly. Not sure about the 1.5L engine and CVT..think I would road test first. Appears to be programmed for decent torque. Biggest question would be reliability/durability of Ecotec engine.Nice new color. Car is probably a better proposition than
This segment is still really relevant but I feel like all the American manufacturers feel like they design stuff in a bubble. This clearly doesn’t compete with literally anybody else.
Aunque le falta actualizarme más en interior como en exterior sigue siendo un bonito sedan me sigue gustando que conserve este estilo robusto tanto en interior y exterior se ve Machín con este estilo y su manejo tan suave y delicioso
I'm not thrilled there's only one engine choice and it's also not a thrilling output. CVT? GM knows we hate those. This is one of three sedans GM makes now so they are starving for more powertrain options.
It’s a shame this car has been pretty much abandoned. I test drove an LT Malibu recently, and was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable it was, a lot more comfortable than the Camry and the Accord. It’s spacious too. Nice pickup, despite the low horsepower number. Reliability is a concern, and interior is dated, but acceptable to me. Had the dealership offered a lifetime powertrain warranty, I may have considered getting it.
Because of past issues with Chevrolet that i owned, they need to build a better car and power train before I will ever consider anything from GM period.
So outdated. The steering wheel is so ugly that alone would probably deter me from buying. They could have done a slight update visually, but even brand new i would feel like im driving a 2018 used car from a rental place

Beautiful cars. I'm not an suv guy so a appreciate Chevy building this. Sedans forever!

Love this design
It's a nice looking car. But I miss the Impala. They lasted forever and the last generation was beautiful.

They aren’t even ugly cars fr 😭😭
I want a Malibu but I heard it’s Not reliable at all🤦🏻♀️🥲
My 2019 blew up at 92000 miles with regular maintenance
@luis-im5fe right people just hating for no reason, lol. At least it's getting them from point A to B
@@mariellesanmiguel9737 I still have my 07 Malibu haven't had any problems yet and don't want to lol. Looking to upgrade to a newer one sooon!
The malibu is still relevant, one of the best midsize cars on the road and excellent value for money. Not everyone wants a suv.
This is a nice looking car.
Yes, the 2024 Malibu is still relevant.

No doubt a very nice looking car. I wish it has a 6 speed transmission though.

I like the look of it, on my 2017 model, which wasn't even the first year of this design. wtf? 2024 we're NINE years on the same design??

Thank you for review. Yes all I want is a good car Malibu LS Base will work but wish they would bring back the Sonic or Spark.

@@joro7304 I love the Malibu I'm happy I bought one I hope to get many years out of it.
I was just looking at an RS today. The only reason I’d get one is because they unfortunately don’t make 2024 impalas.

Pt. 2-its general reputation might suggest.
The Camaro is still sold and so is Cadillac's CT4 and CT5.

It's good n cheap with a little flair imo. No XM radio and CVT turned me away. $23,500 at some southern dealers is a good price.
Does the Malibu have a CVT transmission???
@gregorylyon1004 Hell yea! You can get the 2.0T and you'll get a 9 speed Trans.
Bro I got Lt exactly same Engine and Transmission gear, same car and what is the difference RS AND LT?
No blinkers on the side mirror ?

Can I plug a flash drive filled with music into the USB port and play it using the cars controls for playback?
yes
Hi, is this the lakeshore blue metallic??! I heard you say lakeshore blue. I just wasn't sure if this was the metallic one.
Yes that’s correct. It is Lakeshore Blue metallic!
@@tydrives4846 I just test drove that exact same one a hour ago! Nice ride, I just bought a 2021 Chevy Malibu LT five months ago. Nice rides!!
For a car with that price tag with no rear seat arm rest worst no rear ac ,it not worth it if compared to the Honda Civic and others in it class
It is the mid size sedan category.
Because of past issues with Chevrolet that i owned, they need to build a better car and power train before I will ever consider anything from GM period.
It’s only a 4 passenger car?
No car in 2024 should still come with halogens headlamps.
Halogens are way better than those super bright LEDs that totally blind you on the road.

Is anyone else’s stuck in eco mode??? Or is that all it comes with
They messed up ,no SIRIUS XM.
Is this car made in South Korea the old Daewoo plant that GM took over and they call it GM Korea now
There all made in Kansas

CVT, 1.5l turbo 🙄 hard pass.
why are u reviewing this car in the mud?
I thought the same thing, the new tires are all smeared in mud rock chips everywhere and weeds that can scratch the paint.

Still looks better than those bland Toyotas.
Yup, looks like an old Taurus that was popular rental car.
@@joro7304 Just curious which 2024 Toyotas look worst than this one to you?
@@matrix-fh9tn 2024 Toyotas are the most hideous! Honda Accords look way more elegant. Sonata, K5, Malibu they all look better.
