    Thanks you for your comments! I do my best to keep up with them for the first few days after a video comes out, but due to the volume of comments on all of my videos, and to the general hustle and bustle of life, I must give up the fight after a while. If you are leaving a question four or more days after a video comes out I can't guarantee I'll see it, but perhaps one of my other viewers knows the answer and can help out. Thanks in advance to those who contribute and share their knowledge. Cheers and stay safe everyone!

    Oh, I forgot to mention. Considering the price point and the fact that it’s a bagger, heated grips should be standard.

    Harley can thank Indian for forcing them to make a better motorcycle cycle.
    Not better engineered than Indian, just a better Harley.

      Yep. Who knows. If not for Indian Harley might still be making the Twin Cam.

    Right on all counts. It is quite a package. But the Gold Wing......

    • @DifferentSpokesTV

      The Gold Wing is actually better on the twisty roads because its engine is lower down and the tank is below the seat. It transitions better from side to side.

    I looked good and hard because the prices are pretty good out the door. But having to deal with all the Harley morons…I feel for Harley they are making nice bikes, but the Harley crowd is just awful…I cringe when one walks over to talk to me. I bought a used 2016 Indian Chieftain for $16K with 22K KM’s on it instead. It sits along side my 2017 Triumph Trophy SE, 2022 T120 Gold line and an Aprilia naked. I find I have to be in the mood for my Bagger…mostly it just gets on my nerves being hot/loud/heavy/terrible handling and just plain ole obnoxious to ride 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ but it does look good 🙄🙄🙄

    Out the door, feight, tax, registration $30,000 Ha ha ha. Yeah about that. I'll take my 2004 BMW R1150RT any day all day. 😊 HD 811 lbs !!! 🙄 GOOD GOSH thats why they are called hogs. BMW 560 lbs, full fairing with electric windscreen, removable side & top bags. 😊. I paid $6K 11 yrs ago (9yo used). It now has 55K miles no issues, except in tank fuel pump stopped once. Going on two trips soon, one 1200 miles, other half that.

    Why HD hasn't got onboard with the adjustable windshield.. is beyond acceptable. Its the biggest downfall in my opinion. The suspension is also lacking. If HD would work those two things out.. it would be the bike of choice.

    • @DifferentSpokesTV

      Yes, totally agree. With those two improvements the bike is clearly better than the competition for the best all around bagger out there.

    NO f'n adjustable windshields! Don't need it or an ice maker or any other odd crap you dream up should be a premium option! Frick next you people will want lumbar support, a sun visor, and god knows what else!!!
    I own this bike. the RG is more comfortable because of bar height. I had to replace stock bars for 14" apes. and Rockford Fosgate sound system is garbage. rest is perfect!

    $26K??? Good luck reeling customers with that price. I don't know about you but last I checked, Harley's new "Woke" agenda really screwed themselves with their main customer base. Prices have tanked here in the States.

    I'll stick with my Moto Guzzi V100 sport tourer. Three hundred pounds lighter, 115 hp with an almost flat torque curve. Bags are bigger, windshield is electric and too many other features to list included for $10,000 less.

  • @saddle8bag
    @saddle8bag 7 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Not interested in electronically adjustable windscreen. Just get a clear one of the proper size and you're fine. If you need more wind, open the vent. I have no interest in the FSD cruise control either. If I want the bike to do everything for me, I'll buy a Honda. I've been diddling with these MC controls for about 50 yrs now and I haven't needed Elon's electronic assistance yet.
    I also have electric gloves that keep my entire hands warm, so I have no need for heated grips either. If it gets really cold out, I put the Hippo Hands on the bike.
    Truth be told, I can do w/o all the electronic crap and the fairing used to hide it. If they make it into a Road King standard, they will sell at least one.
    My problems are:
    1. No bag crash protectors. It falls over, you're buying an expensive new bag.
    2. Mustache front crash protector. Cute I suppose, but doesn't allow one to slip the cold weather wind blockers on it.
    3. Tiny front fender. Again, cute for the modern metrosexual rider, but that front tire is going to machine gun that low slung radiator with everything on the road.
    4. The seat is probably okay, but I like the Sundowner better. More room to move around. Not so locked into place. Problem is it's taller. And with it on, the SG bars are too low for me. Would like the SGs more if they put Road King standard handlebars on them.
    I like the new platform, but if they don't bring out Road King version, I'll probably move on to something else. I demo'd a new Triumph Tiger 900 Rally and thought despite the dirt bike look, it was a fantastic road bike. Again too much poorly done electronic crap on it, but the bones of that bike were butter. I'd just need to lower the hell out of it.

    • @DifferentSpokesTV
      @DifferentSpokesTV  6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Good points! The Tiger 900 also comes in a GT version with a smaller front wheel and a lower seat.

    Test drove both the 2024 Road and Street Glide having gone to the dealer to buy the Street Glide. Road back to back and took the Road Glide home. Out of the box is has better wind management than the Street Glide and swapping to the 10" windshield ended any wind issues, can flip up the visor at 80+ without issue. I do prefer the Street Glide bar positions and have lowered the Road Glide bars considerably but not that far. Only addition I had to have was a back rest.
    As compared to the competition, I have had six different BMW RTs which also explains why the fixed fairing of the Road Glide was no inhibition, an adjustable windscreen would be idea and similar to how BMW does it and not Indian. Remote locking bags should have been standard along with the heated grips. Still it just comes down to the fact they look and sound good and are a pleasure to ride. Polaris really needs update both the Chieftain and Challenger but I suspect if they do we already know what they will look like

    • @DifferentSpokesTV
      @DifferentSpokesTV  8 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Yep, the fixed fairing feels a bit different but to me the difference was very minor. I'd love to see Indian drop some new baggers though.

    Man, ive had 3 new street
    Glides with a combined 60-70k miles, great bike but its not a touring bike, mainly wind protection sucked on it and once u start messing with that taller screen lowers etc becomes bigger
    Hesvir and cumsier, if ur gonna just use to for around town its kinda heavy but that and say 1-2 rides its perfect, my excuse was that the golwing was longer heavier but now being lighter!! Than this woth better wind protection power well of
    Course reliability for long runs more
    Than likely its gonna be my next bike.
