Old guy here. My Road Glide is parked while I ride my new Nightster S. I had a Pan Am when they first came out. Used mine as a Sport Touring bike. Mine was the one with the Wedge Fairing on it, 6 months after I bought it. People thought I was crazy. It's a great bike. The folks who poo poo the Rev Max engine don't know what performance is. My 975 is a high performance machine that handles and runs extremely well.

I have a 2019 Softail Slim , CVO Roadglide with the 121VVT a awesome motorcycle. Also have a 23 Nightster Special which is so much fun to ride . I czn understand the Nightster special type dash and ride modes would improve the Softail range greatly.

No Dyna, no EVO Sportster, forgetting about the softails and pushing geezer glides that cost 24 to 40k and this new abortion of an attempt at a water cooled lightweight bike this is all just a huge mess. I absolutely hate the liquid cooled bikes. Not because they are liquid cooled but because yes they sound like hot vomit. Like literal garbage. I mean they sound like a Temu Ducati with wet brain. I was kinda starting to dig the Sportster s until they started it and it made me throw up in my mouth. Indian managed to make a cool water cooled platform that sounds mean and extremely American. The one thing Harley needed to nail first shot was the exhaust note and they fumbled it. I'll never give up my Evo bikes for this trash they are trying to peddle now. At this rate I'll just buy and ride older bikes or mutts I put together myself.

As if i had to sign a release that said i will only off road a PA! The thing is a ripper, in sport mode i still think its the fastest out of the box HD you can get (maybe the CVO's this year are close?). Im seeing more and more young folks realize this, show what they are doing on social media (and yes the HDPanAmerica instagram account re-posts these), and i think its fantastic. Yea there were issues at first but this is a great bike now that its all figured out. I always wanted to see a PA "bagger". Also, you didnt mention the move for HD to make the RevMax bikes overseas. Harley could not come out with anything new and significantly lower their prices and I’d be happy. I don’t care about new bikes that I can’t even remotely afford to be honest. Obviously just my opinion, but as someone who would love a Low Rider St, the $25000 OTD price is a bit much. Half of the people who hate on Harley hate them because of the price of a bike.

You’re right. They don’t even have an entry level bike anymore. 15k plus fees isn’t going to bring new riders into the brand which is what they need to happen. The dropped the touring price this year while giving us “more” in the bikes so maybe the Softails are next??

Doodle on two wheels did an interesting video about a number of Police & Military operations are switching to electric motorbikes. Based on her video and some of the points mentioned, It opened my eyes a bit to the advantages of EV motorbikes for Police in the cities. One huge advantage is weight. HD's and BMW's are both heavy bikes vs some of the EV bikes.

@@impoppa9647 It makes zero sense for a police department to go to EV motorcycles if they actually want them riding them, their range sucks, the charging time is atrocious. A Patrolman would spend and hr to an hr and half riding then the next 4 to 6 hrs charging the bike. They would spend more time at headquarters than they would on the road. Where I live they all ride BMW GS 1200s and they are fast as lightening.

I am/was quite anti-EV; but must admit after watching her video I can see a number of benefits for both Police and Military. The applications where used are not the highway patrol, not the urban and outlying areas but inner city where distance travelled are short, stealth may be required and ICE limits where one can travel.

to release a mid year model now would be kinda silly i think. no interest in paying full price for a new bike at the end of the season unless it is going to be a '25. i think that's part of the reason for overall sales drop off. they should move their new year model release back to September instead of only selling part of the year. I think people get tired of waiting to see what may or may not come and go buy something else. just think if they had released the diablo at the beginning of the season, those would have sold like crazy. just my thoughts anyway.
