We Filipinos need to embrace and appreciate our culture more. The natives left this for us. Our ancestors. We cannot let something like this vanish. We need to revive what we've lost and almost lost. We are not just a nation colonized by many countries. We are more than this and this one shows it. If we can enjoy the cultures of the other race, let's not forget to look back on ours. Trust me, when you really get into our culture deeply, it will really make you feel better and knowledgeable about the lives of our ancestors and our rich history before the Spaniards came. 7,100+ islands. Let's do better.
just because we have been colonized does not mean we have lost our identiy, the cultures the colonizers brought just merged with us, of course im not saying that is our whole identity, im saying that it is part of it ☮☮☮
Whoever arranged this orchestral version is brilliant! My god. I hope more Filipino compositions get this treatment, not because it will be better with western sensibilities but only out of curiosity. I live the choral version of Kruhay and I do love this as well.
Nakaka proud🎉🎉🎉Congratulations for your greatest achievement and performance of all Manila Junior Symphony Orchestra. All glory praise and honor to our LORD👏👏👏🎉🎉🎉
This is one great example of collaborative work and adaptation of a Native Folksong set in an Orchestral way, such brilliance and creativity!!! Mabuhay ang mga Pinoy!
Kruhay itself is already epic but to hear an orchestra ver. God im beyond happy and satisfied i mean like more of filipino folksong should be appreciated like this and what an amazing job for those kids to perform so flawlessly! MABUHAY!
The sound is so fulfilling. It felt like I was listening to a tribe playing it. I've been watching series of choral groups singing this. And each is very epic.
Pang Pirates of the Caribbean ang dating. Hollywood level. Sana lng may pinoy director na gawan to ng movie. The Maragtas story, the legend of the 10 sultan. With amzing visual effects and costume design. Tapos ung mga pinaka batikang artista sa pinoy showbiz industry. Im hopeful that this could happen someday.
Today is binirayan festival here in antique which this song created sana maka pag perform kayu dito po sa antique this piece is remind us of who we are as antiquenios.
Bravo my fellow Antiquenos... This song originated from our province now a world class composition... Amazing performers.. orchestrated perfectly... Thanx to you guys who made this song Filipinos proud.
Bravo! to you Jeffrey Soralers, Conductor. You are the backbone and the formula of the success of your young team players. Your Young team of winners and you are very inspiring and moving! Thank you for sharing your talent and more power to you and your young ones. P.S. For some reason, I have posted a longer message but did not appear. It is fine.
I remember performing this as part of my school's choir, and it's also one of my favorite pieces. It sounds super majestic when performed by an orchestra. Now I kinda want to combine both the orchestra and the choir for the song hahaha
Magnificent! Felt like I'm transcending to another dimension...Hats off indeed...Manila Symphony Junior Orchestra should do an opening concert in the opening of Metropolitan Theather....
Think of this song 'Kruhay' (means 'Long-live') from folk-tale to a Capella. Now turn to Orchestra. Kudos to Mr. Jeffrey Solares who arranged 'Kruhay' to Orchestra and he was also the conductor of MSJO of this competition.
Sir benny is the comp its from antique visayas reg.its state how antiquenyos live during negritos(ati) and the came of datu sumakwel kinaray-ah folk song
Well it tells the migration of the Burneyan peoples to Panay island and them buying the land from the native Ati people. So imagine the kingdom of Panai in modern day Indonesia being ransacked by the new emerging empire in the region, the nobles, monks and slaves escapes through balangay boats traversing the monsoon infested South China sea until they reached the shores of the land they will later name Panay, after their kingdom of origin.

Coincidentally, Kruhay is a greeting term on the Philippine province of Antique, which also known as "Province Where The Mountain Meets The Sea" 😊😊😊

Kruhay itself is already epic but to hear an orchestra ver. God im beyond happy and satisfied i mean like more of filipino folksong should be appreciated like this and what an amazing job for those kids to perform so flawlessly! MABUHAY!

Because the music is the story.
It tells about Ati tribes welcoming the 10 exiled datu from Borneo.

IMPRESSIVE
This song can be used for a war movie based in the philippines, perhaps wwii when the philippines was about to be liberated by the us???
It is actually a friendship song between the Ati Tribe of Panay and the Bornean Datus. Kruhay means longlive like mabuhay in Tagalog
@@chemicallycool True the barter of Panay! and Kruhay in karay-a means WELCOME or MBUHAY!
OMGGGGGGG
Galing, very proud!!!
Majestic!!!
ang ggling 😱😱😱
Bravo!
If I will submit my script story about a fantasy war, I'm gonna recommend this.
Wow!
wow astig naman. 💗
I can imagine a movie with this sound. A war during pre colonial.
This song is actually a welcome song po. "Kruhay" means "welcome" in Kinaray-a.
Speechless
Like the orchestra better than the choir 🙂. A play should be made about the song. Of history and adventure.
This will make a great soundtrack for a movie on the barter of panay
Awesome……:)
pwede itong gawing sounds sa maaksyon na movie parang tribal history.or sa warrior movie.maangas ang tunog.
I feel like watching Filipino theme Dysney Movie! So grandeur...
The choral version was intense. The Orchestral version was intense-r? ☺️
So good...
