Hey man. I love your car. I saw the same video when u bought the car first, based on the amount of time you had this car, and then put a stage 2 on it. Did u have to wait to break the car in first or did u do directly, and if u did it directly is it safe, it won't overload the engine would it. I would love it if u answer my questions hope to hear from ya.

I did the proper break in to 1000 miles, did the MA Performance Stage 1 at 3500 miles and had issues. Got pro tuned at 4,000 on the dot and I’m sitting at 15k right now and it runs amazing. Deff skip the OTS tunes and save for the dyno even if you have zero bolt on’s

What a coincidence that you release this video today. The wife and I just test drove the 2019 STI yesterday. It has the same ECU tune, wheels and 3rd gear as the RA. I can tell you that the car looks better in person than in pictures. The car in ice silver metallic was love at first sight for us. We both got to drive it and could not be more impressed. Everything is spot on. It's a very quick car, the short shifter is perfection, it sounds great and the overall feel of the drive is one you won't soon forget. The one we drove was $41,700 which is a lot but I think you get a unique car that you can enjoy in all weather for years to come. I think owning a 2019 STI could be in our not so distant future, 2020 changes be damned. The 2019 has our hearts. Thanks go to the owner for letting you drive his car. Great video!

A Mustang Owner So, I recently bought a ‘19 STI in ice silver. I opted for the limited / wingless and have an RA spoiler en route. Today is about a month of ownership and i have put 900 miles on it. This all being said... every time i get in it i smile. When shopping, i spent about three months on research (i’m in the car industry and was able to test everything) the two cars i came down to were the STI and porsche 911 4s
(i’m a huge fan of AWD)
Because of the cost of work / ownership - i chose the STI. But honestly, it was the nurburgring time that sold me...

Mikey did my stage 2 bolt on tune on my 08 Legacy GT (60k miles) in Chicago and then a retune with more fuel and bigger turbo etc etc the following year(75k miles). Just earlier this year he did an etune on e85 since I moved to Vegas. I must say he is the man! Currently 120k miles and Smooth sailing! Your statement at 10:29 is key. I have heard people talk about how disappointed they are to see the same powerplant ln the STi, save minor refinements, year after year. I cannot tell you how pleased I am to find Subaru executives have resisted the impulsive practice of changing just for the sake of changing at the cost of low-quality, poor implimentation, insufficient R&D, all but guaranteeing designs and new features will be rapidly fashioned out and look prematurely dated because they lack design consistency. An example of design consistency is most evident in designs that manufacturers ran with minimal changes for years. Mercedes-Benz has always been good at sticking with a body style for longer than it's competition and this results in an appearance that has classic potential. The same can be seen when an automobile is a one and done or a final issue, e.g., Supra, S2000, RX7. I know technology is slightly different than fashion. But, the STi is simply put a 7 time world championship franchise. STi is doing most everything right. The Boxer platform people love to dream of replacing is a fool's proposition. The STi is the most perfected drivetrain and chassis on the market the moment maybe ever. Subaru has created culture with this car and some members of the tribe are getting over a thousand horsepower out of that automobile's small displacement engine... Porsche sees no reason to change. So, before you decide to pontificate from your position of impulsiveness again, DON'T.
    Thanks,
    Matt

Raiti - strong work on your STI videos. I admit, your videos steered me away from purchasing a 2016 S4 MT in Ft. Lauderdale and a 2018 CTR in Jacksonville. I ended up taking home a 2019 STI Gray.series last week. I absolutely love the STI. I have been “shopping” since 2014, and I have been very patient to see what manual transmission enthusiast cars will come. I weighed out the pros / cons waiting for the 2020 STI and did my research between WRX vs STI - according to my wish list. But, life is short and I have a higher chance of dying than most people alive right meow. Also, there is no guarantee or insight as to what we love about the STI now, may be lost in the 2020 model.
Since I am a fellow Floridian, I am considering getting a solid tune, from a shop I might be able to drive to. Currently, I am really only interested in a Cobb intake and an undecided exhaust. I would like to know what are your top 3 tuner shops in Florida - or within reasonable driving distance from Jacksonville.
Lastly, from some novice STI research, I understand that the STI is not just a plug and play motor for bolt ons. With every bolt on, a proper tune should accompany the mod. I’ve seen videos with different “tuners” programming their company’s tune along with Cobb’s tune, on the Cobb AccessPort. Are there any solid tuners to purchase this Cobb AccessPort from (that has their tunes with Cobb’s tune) or is it more advisable take the car to a tuner shop?
    Thanks Raiti!

You know sir this the first time meeting someone who is a big fan of Subaru, I usually talk with people who are a fan of either American cars, or JDM cars also supra considering that’s not a JDM car based on the info I know, seeing the old WRX was something at its time, to this day is something

The handling and crazy grip of the STI is my favorite part... I actually cannot wait for my warranty to expire ... because im modding it then. Stock tune is so inconsistent sometimes the boost hits like a freight train and then sometimes... nothing lol.
One thing i was going to do in the far future is build a spare block and then mod my current engine... if my current engine blows I just throw the spare in!! :)

Hi Joe, really nice video man, this car is awesome. I have a friend here in the Chicago area that is also tune by Mikey and his WRX pulls like crazy. I have a 2016 STI, the car similar to this one but I’m only stage one (with Cobb SF intake also). However I also have an AOS and fuel stumble kit. I’m also pro tuned by Boosted Performance and getting 322 lbs torque to the wheels. My tuner said my car is somewhat of a factory freak to get that much power in stage one. And if you years I’ll be building out the engine and cannot wait. I hope there is a way you can review my car someday, take care man.

And to add to that, the "Subaru Rumble" comes from the un-equal length headers on the STI's 2.5L. It's essentially the sound of the exhaust gases colliding. If you install equal length headers, the rumble almost goes away completely.

You could honestly get away with just a downpipe and pro tune on the stock exhaust and there would be little difference and that would cut costs in half. DP was $350 and pro tune was $500. The intake is not for performance on these cars I just like the sound honestly. DP is gonna be hands down best bang for the buck bolt on wise.

The whole car industry is going the wrong way. A really good car doesn’t need to be complicated, doesn’t need 1000 LED screens in cabin, doesn’t need 500hp. A good car is simple, mechanical, reliable, and 100% driver involvement. Go test a MX-5, you will understand what I mean, 155hp little car with nothing but a soul. Only Subaru and Mazda going the right way IMO.

Honestly the stock tune is crap 2nd gear is driving me nuts it feels rich and jerky. Let's see if Ap fixes that. I want to do flex fuel and see if I can get 雪 to 20lbs on stock turbo I think that is max it will go

I hope you find a modded 135 or 335 then you'll see what a true modded car can do vs these 4 bangers.... I just tapped into the BMW 135 platform and I'll say this.... if you put just a few thousand into them... and do basically what you do to the WRX or STI you get so much more power and speed it's not even funny. I loved my WRX but I'd admit after trading it in for the 135i I got to feel some very interesting power vs my pro tuned WRX. The main difference is... the BMW doesn't feel like it's even trying where as the WRX felt like you might break it. The AWD is great.... not taking anything away from that... but even a stock 135 feels like a much different beast and the auto is fantastic and very fast shifting. Plus... the BMW engine pretty much nails the power nearly to the wheels... The Stock WRX and STI lose quite a bit of power and tuning them just makes them where they should be from the factory. The late gears kill the WRX even pro tuned.... the BMW just wants to keep going. After all said and done I wish I had only gone stage 1 and after finding the BMW put a bit more money into that and gotten an easy 400 HP car. I'm putting the MHD tune on soon which costs WAY less than the Cobb AP tunes you buy from Cobb and this goes into the STOCK engine with no mods. Oh and the brakes are insane.... the only thing about my particular BMW is the suspension feels a tad soft to me being from 2009 vs my 2015 WRX... but I'm trying to work on that as soon as possible... either with coilovers or getting the dealership I got it from to take a look at it. They already were cool about the two tires I needed for the front and they mounted them for free, which was cool. The burble from just the exhaust delete is sick too.... makes me smile even more than the WRX engine wise. The steering on the WRX wins hands down though.... it's a bit too stiff for me but hey... nothing is flawless.
