I saw the bags of leaves in the back of you car with Alaska I was like " what is she going to do with bags and bags of leaves?" Video gets post " that makes a little more sense"
Great video Emily and Ed! Baking / heating leaves or branches from outside is one of the best options! I’ve collected bird safe branches from outside to put inside my bird’s cage. I scraped off any fungus or bad parts, sanded down splintery parts, cleaned them off and baked them so it kills all bacteria. This is a great way to include natural elements to your pet’s enclosure and I would highly recommend!
I’m so happy you made this video Emily! I got a ton of leaves from outside my house (no pesticides) and baked them. I mainly got oak leaves by me which are safe. Leaf litter is so expensive and it’s great to get them for free! So many people waste money buying some leaf litter when they can get free ones from outdoors if they live in an area with leaves. Also those leaves are hugeeeee!
Maple leaves are also safe to use for some reptiles, like Ball Pythons and isopods! I've been using maple leaves in my enclosures for a while now and collecting the Maple leaves while they're changing colors makes for a beautiful enclosure.
Oh my God I love your Channel. I can't wait till your facility opens up I live in Canada but one day I'm going to go to Minnesota and visit your facility❤
