Mass saw it all, drove them all. I am glad he mentioned Revson, my favorite driver when I was a kid. When he was killed it took the joy out of racing for me for many years...

I could listen to him hours and hours. What a kind man. No word about the Surtees F1 era and his reasons to quit the job there. No word, that he recommended Helmut Koinigg not to drive the Surtees in Watkins Glen 1974. He has so much more to tell. Zolder 1982, Spa 1985 and so on...

His crash at Paul Ricard was one of the worst I have seen. For years it was a mystery to me what happened, because only aftermath footage was available, but recently, I have seen a rare video of the crash. I am not surprised Mass quit after a crash like that.
