    Hi Cassiy, I opened my Etsy shop in December 22, 2022. I was sewing everything I listed, but that was not sustainable. There had to be a better way. In February 2023 I discovered POD! I listened to you and many other wonderful TH-camrs on the subject. I went through your free course on how to get started, and most of your videos if not all! I also got your calendar, and your Income and Expense report. All these tools have been so helpful, and affordable. I'm adding listings, and getting a little better every day. Getting ready to make group and custom listings. I'm very thankful for you and all the time and effort you put in sharing your tremendous talent! I say to everyone waiting to start, follow Cassiy and start! From a very happily retired 66yr old "POD Etsy Store Owner"! Thank you again Cassiy!

    Hi Cassie! Thanks for all the helpful info on this topic!! Do you think you could do a tutorial for a Private Custom POD Etsy/Printify listing, for a customer who wants to add personalization to an existing non-personalized listing? And show best approach when customer wants multiple items for that listing? Hopefully, this made sense lol Thanks for always bringing value to this platform!!!!

    Thank you for this!
    As a new etsy seller, I had a little apprehension about these orders being manual just in case I made a mistake in setup. I learned that if you add the variations you want but don't individual sku numbers but instead add a custom one for the whole listing the order will go to 'Other Orders' tab and you can manually change each item a customer ordered. Hope that makes sense. I did this with two black shirts, two neon shirts with the same design but in a different color and a banner and fulfilled my first custom order without a hitch.
    My first personalized order wasn't as smooth because I left the sku number but when the order was placed I couldn't replace the item with the personalized version without canceling (that's all I knew how to do at the time) and watching a ton of videos to finally learn the SKU number is so important.

      So glad you have been loving my videos!! But trust me there is never going to be a point where you finally know the perfect amount. I think it really is best to just open your shop and get started with one listing! Take it just one step at a time and learn as you go, that way you can get feedback of what works and what doesn't and start getting better faster! Either way best of luck, you've got this!!

    Very helpful video as usual. The only thing I wasn’t clear on is whether I need to click prices very. I did put all the different prices in individually. When I go to my listing, they actually have to click on the size for the price to show up on the top of the screen. Whereas the other ones you would click on the size and the price was right next to it right there with the size.

    It would seem that Printify could have the ability to include adult and child sizes in the same listing with just a day or two of working on it. I know they're just resting on their laurels, now, because they didn't even offer boxer shorts for Valentines Day! I would have thought that would have been near the top of the gifting list. If you know anybody at Printify, tell them to get off their keester and do something. And thanks to you for this helpful video.

    Hi, Cassiy! Thank you so much for this wonderful video, I love how detailed and easy to follow you are😍😍 I do have one question, after we publish the listing on Etsy, do we leave the ones that we created in Printify as drafts or we would have to publish them there as well? Will the orders go into production even if they are drafts? I am at the very beginning, 1 month only and I actually did create a different variations listing after watching another video, but I started in Printify first, published them as hidden on Etsy, then created and published the final one on Etsy. But again, I don't know if I should go on Printify after, uncheck the hidden box and publish...🙉 I'm so sorry if it is confusing, but thank you so much🙏

Instead of just using a pattern can you use a photo to fill in the font? For instance, a word and you want to use a lot of flowers and you find a nice photo and you use that to fill in the font. Will that work out for a POD shirt?

    I have a question and this is one that I saw you have not answered yet in the older answers. Would you know how to handle different shipping profile?
    I saw others asking you the same below ;-) And I wonder how Etsy will show the appropriate shipping price, could you help me, please?
    I am actually facing the following use case: a great listing but awful shipping rate if you are not in the US.
    I would like to make a variation where I provide the SKU for a Printify from the US provider and another with the SKU for the Australian Provider foor example.
    Do you have a solution please?

    Hi, Cassiy!
    Do you make a separate Canva file for the infant, toddler, youth, and adults, since the print area is different for each one? I read somewhere that it is best to not change the designs sizing once it is uploaded to Printify because things get messy.... Is that true?
    Also, I'm trying to wrap my head around the group listings. So there are 3 different processes when listing items: 1) Regular-upload a design to Printify and then send to Etsy, 2) Multi Product Listings-Upload to Etsy first then go to Printify and upload the design and save it as a draft, because all you really need are the sku #'s to go input into the Etsy listing 3) Group Listings-You Upload the design with custom on it to Etsy. You don't use any sku #'s ever. You wait for the order to come through from Etsy to other orders in Printify. Then you upload your design to Printify. Then go to the other orders and choose that saved Printify Draft. The reason the process is different from the Multi Product Listings is because you will have to add a custom name. Did I get all of that right?
    Lastly, Do you think you can make a video going over all of the possible issues with Group Listings? I watched your Group Listing video and went through all of the comments. It seems like there are several things that can go wrong.
    For instance, the part about someone purchasing two items, one item is regular and the other is custom, but the custom order doesn't go through.
    You also mentioned something about there being times when it would be better to go to the catalog versus going to Printify drafts when fulling a custom order.
    Someone also mentioned something about getting an order for 2 personalized items of the same design., but they were unable to change the quantity.
    Anyway, there were lots of questions on that video. So maybe an updated group listing video addressing those questions in the comment section would be helpful...
    You probably get tired of hearing it, but you are awesome and I know I am not the only one who appreciates you so much! Thank you!

  • @kimab
    @kimab ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Hi Cassiy😊 how do we get around the shipping cost? I used swiftpod for both b+c 3001 and 3001Y but the shipping still came to around $8 because one was a regular shirt and other a youth size. Is that normal cause then on printify it shows an alert that it’s a lot for shipping lol (I offer free shipping)

    • @BirdInABell
      @BirdInABell ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m thinking to include the price of shipping in the items that way you get your money for shipping cost, OR, you could create a discount code for a percentage or dollar amount off if they add two items to cart. Maybe that would attract buyers who otherwise would be paying more for shipping with a listing like this.

    Thanks for your videos they are of great value.
    I would like to know if the SKU you have to do with each group listing you want to do with different designs, or if you can make a copy of the listing that is already created and just change the photos and other data, the SKU of the listing that I duplicate in etsy would serve me or vary by design in printify even if you handle the same style of bella+canvas?

    Hey Cassiy! I have graduation family shirts I want to list but of course they will all say something different and I thought I would offer two color variations. You don't happen to have a video on that do you? I'm having a hard time finding tutorials with the multiple variations for family members along with the color option. I'm confused on the process....so, I would go through the motions as if I was creating a listing in printify for each shirt variation but save them as drafts? And printify will use that as the graphic to fullfill the order as long as I have the sku on the etsy listing. To simplify things should I set up two different listing, one for each color? I hate not having that option but it really seems to complicate things. Sorry for all the questions.

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It does make it a lot more complicated but anytime I’m trying to find the best way to list something, I go find an inspiration listing that has the variants available that I want to offer. Most people end up with two drop downs, one for the saying and one for the size/color. So the size color drop down would be like “Small Black Shirt, Small Red Shirt, Medium Black Shirt.. etc” you just need to click the size and color have different skus and then yes copy all skus in for it to automatically connect. With a listing that big, I might wait to connect all of the skus until it sells for the first time just in case it never sells and you connect all the skus for nothing.

    Hi Cassiy. Your content has been so helpful to me, and thank you for sharing your knowledge. I do have a question about the Mommy & Me listings in Printify. When you save as a template, and someone purchases the items, will Printify automatically fulfill them using the SKU, or will we have to push the order with the other orders tab? Thanks Again.

    Loving your videos! Starting my new POD shop. Having trouble uploading and using the creative fabrica fonts to my laptop after I’ve installed (not a Mac). Can’t figure out the “font book”. Any advice? Thanks!!

      I would reccomend downloading them to the creative fabrica font cloud instead! Go to CF, then to tools, then to the font cloud and upload the font. It works the same way and you can copy and paste them over to Canva from there!

    Hi Cassiy thank you so much for this tutorial. I get a bit confused when it comes to the variations ie Mini or Mama. If they choose the Mini design and size for the baby how do they choose the Mama design and size on the same listing? Do they have to order separately and pay for two separate delivery charges and be sent separately? That’s the but I’m stuck on. Thank you 🙏

    Hey Cassiy. I'm actually attempting to setup a different design for each vs. a single design. To do this, I'm assuming that I create 2 product listings in Printify, then just copy and paste the applicable SKUs from the 2 listings into the single Etsy listing. Is this accurate?

    Hi Cassiy, thanks a lot for all your valuable and actionable videos. I got inspired by your videos and started one POD store on Etsy in October 2022. Since then, I only got 1 organic sale other than some sales made to my family members. I have got more than 100 listings by now and I am trying to follow all of your s and other youtubers' suggestion to make the store work. However, am not getting the expected result. Do you still do the one to one store review so then I can get my store checked to find out what I am missing out on. Please help me. Thank you so very much.

    This listing would be for only one color variation correct? Because adding a color variation would mean there’s more than two which Etsy won’t allow, correct?

    Hi Cassiy, can you address the concern around using Canva designs for POD saleable items? I need to read further on this, but apparently, Canva's policy prohibits this use, even if you have a pro account...

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't know where all these recent rumors are coming from! The only thing you can't do with Canva is put a canva graphic onto an item by itself and sell it as is. You need to add things like other graphics and text to make it your own unique design. Here is a link to their license explained on their website where it literally says the following
      www.canva.com/licensing-explained/
      Can I sell products or merchandise with my design on it?
      Yes! All of our photos, fonts and graphics can be used to create designs for printing on products for sale (like t-shirts, mugs, books and other merchandise). Please note, you can’t sell standalone prints of Canva content, such as a printout of a stock photo (without any other design elements) on a t-shirt.

      @NicoleGoldsbury-hw1ik ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CassiyJohnson it apparently comes from their terms of service which states you cannot use any Pro elements at all on POD. In a Facebook thread with Canva, the Canva rep said the ToS trumps all other info anywhere. I haven't honestly dug into this except watch a video where someone showed screenshot of the conversation thread.

    • @NicoleGoldsbury-hw1ik
      @NicoleGoldsbury-hw1ik ปีที่แล้ว

      For anyone else wondering about this, I went down the rabbit hole. The issue seems to be more about vague/conflicting info on the content license agreement. In the prohibited uses section, #10, 12 & 13 sort of leave the door open as to whether or not reselling designs using their elements is really allowed. I would say until they make it more clear one way or the other, it's really open to interpretation...

      @@NicoleGoldsbury-hw1ik Here is an email I got back today from Canva support on this topic confirming what I said!
      "We appreciate you reaching out to clarify if you're allowed to Pro elements from the Canva library in creating designs for print-on-demand items. Let me go ahead and clarify this for you!
      We are happy to inform you that Canva empowers our users to create amazing designs using the available content/elements in our library as long as you comply with our licensing agreement. Since you are subscribed to Canva Pro, please note that all content (photos, graphics, illustrations, stickers, fonts, videos) available for Canva Pro subscription is licensed under Canva’s Content License Agreement.
      As long as you incorporate the stock media on a design by adding elements, photos, texts, videos, or backgrounds in order for you to you comply with Canva’s Content License Agreement. Once you comply, you are free to print your design on items or products for selling without limits.

I want to sell on Etsy as multi product listing and maybe separate listings on printify pop up store. What do you suggest?

    Question I had based on the shirts you use please. Bella Canva 3001. Since those are unisex shirts, do you get customers coming back and saying the sizes are big as I thought one has to size down when it comes to unisex shirts.

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Printful should send them together because they are the printer, Printify it will depend on if you choose the same print provider for all of the items. If you make all items through say Swiftpod, then swift pod will send them all in one package!
