Printify really needs to make a set feature for sets. That is super inconvenient.

Thanks for this great info! I was intimidated at first with this "multiple products in one listing" business, just how I'm going to do that, and also was envy of all those people who were already offering this in their listings. After watching your video it turned out not to be so complicated, and now I'm setting up most of my listings this way. I found that almost all my listings can be set up with multiple products one way or the other, and I can only hope this will convert to more sales... 😁

Thanks Taylor. This was very helpful. One way to avoid the order getting sent to production before adding the second sku is to not publish any of the printify products. Instead I would create manual skus in Etsy that do not match any Printify product forcing the order to show up under "Other Orders". We can then add all products to each order manually. It might seem like slightly more work but it gives me peace of mind knowing that I have to push the product to production manually even with my automated routing setting. Thanks again!

I've been watching videos from various Etsy Pros such as yourself and it seems like there are as many ways to sell "sets" as there are sellers! LOL! This isn't a complaint, by the way. I do like your teaching style a great deal but I'm looking for something a little more automated than this method. Thank you for taking the time to painstakingly going through each and every bit of minutia to setting up this system! It helped me understand the whole process much better and why automation of this is so tricky.
The print on demand world is only growing right now so I’m hopeful automation like this will become easier in the future too. It is tricky but doable 😊

Thank you this is very helpful. i have a question though, when the customer purchases the items does it show up in your account for you to purchase the items off Printify or how does the actual purchase take place? i did see one video where a lady said you need a credit card because etsy puts a hold on your funds for 1 week. Is this true or is this something to do with certain countries? I'm in US but think she was in Canada. Any help on that would be great

When I create the listing on Etsy and Copy the Skus from Printify Will the price on Etsy automatically change if I change it on printify or do I have to go through each listing to update prices on Etsy. (because I just saw a price change on printify) Thank you !

Multi-quantity listing fees
If you have variations of an item for sale in a single listing and a customer purchases more than one variation, you’ll also be charged the standard $0.20 USD listing fee for each additional item purchased from the listing. The additional charges won’t post until a multi-quantity purchase has been made.
Taylor thanks so much for your videos I've been enjoying them! I might have misunderstood so can you clarify for my slow mind ;) When doing multiple products in one listing like this, is there not an option in Printify or Etsy to add multiple skus to one listing automatically? In other words, did you say you have to manually add the second, third, etc. product to the order once it sells?
Yes that’s correct you have to manually add them! Printify does not have that ability. Maybe in the future - that would be amazing 🤞

Great video. I am currently having success with (printify) posters. So- I want to have a listing selling sets of 2. I am offering in 4 sizes. what do i do in variations to reflect sets of 2 posters, and in 4 different sizes. In other words, each set is going to be offered in 12x18, 16x24, 20x30, and 24x36. So far: I made 1 poster and published/hidden to etsy. I made the other poster and saved as a draft in printify. Just cant figure out how to do the variations. Thank you!

Yesterday I watched this video and today I got an order. Thank you, Thank You. Thank You.
But After I received the order, waiting for my approval, there is no place to enter the second SKU #. Fortunately I did a matching pair. There is a place to duplicate the order, so that’s what I did. Now I wonder how to do an unmatched pair. Check it out and does it work for you?

I personally wouldn't worry about adding a second sku# as I like to just import the order manually once in Printify (just my personal preference) Hope this helps!
This is really helpful - thank you! Is another option to leave the SKU blank on Etsy then it would go into your other order tab to be allocated manually? I’ve set up a few listings without a SKU but not sold any yet so I’m hoping this works too!
Yes! You can do that also! Sometimes people forget to check the other orders tab, that’s the only reason I didn’t mention it. But I’ve done that myself and it works perfectly!

I tried doing this without publishing both products and when I saved one as a draft it didn't provide a sku# to give Etsy and Etsy wouldn't let me keep going without a sku#.. Am I missing something?

Can you do a video on shipping profiles , shipping prices are so variable for different countries and I just don’t know where to start or what product variants to list
Definitely! I do recommend only shipping within the US. It is a lot simpler 😃

@@TaylorPODI don’t know what in doing wrong- the mugs are so expensive to ship. The shirts are $5 which is high but the mugs are like $10. I’m in Los Angeles.
Are you not utilizing Printify? Shipping on Printify is only $6-8 for the ceramic mugs.

Yes! The calculator I use takes Etsy fees into the equation 🙌 makes it so easy
you should make an additional design... but just add the word... AGAIN --for those having more than one granchild ;)

I have not experienced that they ship separately. Any orders of multiples I have personally done have shipped together as long as they are all in one order as shown in this video.
Hello! I was watching you do the calculator. I am confused. How did you factor in the Sales Price and shipping cost? Trying to figure out how you calculate that?
I usually just play around with different numbers until I’m at a profit margin I like. I always keep shipping under $6-7 MAX depending on product type. I like to see other comparable listings and what they’re priced at as well for a starting point. But I aim for about a 30% profit margin which can be seen on the lower right hand side of the calculator in EverBee.
Oh! I see. Yeah, I did see how the profits would turn out on Printify which showed me at least 40% profit so I am good. I am still a newbie when it comes to Etsy and Printify. I am not brave enough to do multiple items like mugs yet. Will get there soon. @@TaylorPOD
Is publishing the product on Printify necessary for Etsy to communicate a purchase if the Etsy listing is published and linked to a printify draft with variations?
No it is not necessary. If you create a listing in Etsy and your account is synced with Printify, your orders will just show up in your “other orders” tab in Printify.

Double check it’s from the same production partner. There are multiple ceramic mugs and each company does have their own individual pricing!

Hmmm I’m not sure I understand your question. Are you referring to the design? Or the physical mug?
@@TaylorPOD I'm referring to the design size on the Mug in Printify for the 15 oz. I do mostly text designs, and it looks fine for an 11 oz, but the 15 oz look "short". In Printify, there are settings for the width, height, and scale. What are your numbers for the 15 oz. please?
I am confused. If you had 2, 11oz mugs and 2, 15 oz mug, when you create the variation you only took 2 SKU numbers, one for each size. How is printify going to know that they are suppose to send a set if we only added a SKU code for that specific size? what happened with the SKU that we didn't add? please someone help.

You need to warp the text. As it is, it looks fake. If you don't know how to warp the text, make sure you buy mockups that use smart objects, so they will do the warping for you.

Where you lose me at is when you are using one sku number for the 11 ounce and 1 sku number for the 15-ounce set. How does that tell printify to order two mugs???
That does not tell Printify the customer is ordering two mugs. You are manually editing the order for the mugs with this method.
@TaylorPOD Hopefully, they create a better system soon then. If you're looking for a streamlined business for passive income, that doesn't work.
Wouldn't it be easier to just sell as a single mugs? Not all grandparents are married, some may be divorced or widowed and some may be same sex marriages so they could not buy two of the same sex, they would need to buy 4 mugs just to get 2 grandpa or 2 grandma mugs for example or what if a customer brakes one of the mugs, they would need to buy another set instead of just one mug. And you will not need to rush over to Printify to after every sale to add the second mug. I sell my mugs as singles and the buyer can buy the mug or mugs of their choosing. Does this make sense?
You could certainly do that! This tutorial was just designed to give an overview of how someone could create any set of products for sale. Less about the specific niche and more so about the steps because it is more complicated to create a listing like this 😊
