Bwwwwaaaaaa! WOW! This training aide is SURE making the rounds recently! I've seen it pop up in a number of Golf channels in the last 2 weeks! Must be a really good aide! 😊
Thanks for the great content Jonathan. Can you please make a video on how / why people deliver different lie angles at contact when using irons. I seem to always deliver the club face a downward angle which opens the club face and makes me miss right. My club fitter suggested adjusting the club lie angles but I’m keen to know why I always deliver the club down (towards the toe). Thanks!
Jonathan, what is your opinion of the click mechanism feature of this product? Do you think it really is a good tool for helping with release timing? Obviously, you endorse it for grip. Sidenote, I would never buy that product if you hadn’t recommended it just based on the website alone. It baffles me that people design websites that way, the eternal scrolling with all the desperate salesmanship. It feels like the kind of site. It’s definitely going to give you malware lol. Very offputting but I’m glad there are pros out there reviewing and validating it.
Yea the website is too much lol…I like it for the grip only to be honest. The customisable feature is pretty good for this purpose. The click feature will not really give good feedback with the release unless you listen for WHEN you hear the click. I think the grip feature is solid after testing it out myself
I believe that my grip is fairly good. My problem is the other feature , the clacker, or whatever it is called. I have it set to 60mph, and I can't get it to let go. I thought that my swing was fast enough, but apparently, it isn't. I guess I need to video myself.
I heard mixed reviews, but would you honestly recommend the Straight Stick for newer/golfers trying to improve? Would love to have a trustworthy opinion.
To be honest if you are new to the game it would be best to get help from a professional. Training aids are great for players who are looking for specific help on a certain area of their swing
Apparently it can be compared to a tube of toothpaste without the cap on. If your grip too tight the toothpaste will come out. Ideal pressure is to grip it so toothpaste stays in
I'm 35 played for about 4 yrs. I just had heart surgery last yr. I was told this could help me get my rhythm back. Do you think it will? Or is there something els I can try. I have lost a lot or rotation.
Great videos! Question, I am having a hard time getting my heel pad to stay firm on the grip. Does that mean I have to get my heel pad more on top of the grip? Then it feels like my left wrist is in full extension. Short thumb or long thumb?
Thanks I finally found someone that explains stuff where I understand. Thanks 🙏
Thank u I have struggled with a strong grip for a while and this has improved me with a nasty hook or pull ❤
I had this training aid just sitting for a while just didn’t know how to fully use it till now
I went back to a more neutral grip after suffering those very issues. I had to change it...
Great video. Simple, understandable explanation. Great job!
I bought that aid a couple of weeks ago. It sure showed me how bad my grip was.

I think the grip feature is the best part
Great video , I think my left hand was too much in my palm and now I feel the grip more in my last three fingers of the left hand
Excellent instruction as always!

Excellent video. Question on the thumb on lead hand, long or short?

On a scale from 1-10 what should the grip pressure be on the golf club?
Tiger himself says 5 😂 and Fred Couples' right hand is so loose some of his fingers come off the club at impact if you watch slow mo

Would you think the Lamkin training grip would do the same thing besides the strengthening/weakening feature for a fraction of the price?
