I had a blast building this one live online with the community and truly believe this might be one of the best bases I have ever constructed. Thanks to everyone who contributed ideas during the livestreams! Let me know if there are any elements of the base that you might use in your next build!
Eko, I love how *complete* your builds are - not just built for combat, but also for living with so much thought put into how it all fits together. And the copper look for the metal here - perfect!
It's been so long since I have commented anything on youtube, but seeing the INSANE QUALITY of this video made it impossible not to say anything! The base looks so sick while being practical at the same time. I'm definitely borrowing that zombie flushing mechanic. The electric wire and dart trap combo at the bottom is just brilliant. The time placed into this video must have been equally as crazy. The editing felt seamless, your delivery was so sincere and genuine, and I just adore the clear passion you have for this game. Wishing you the best to fulfill all your other endeavors in life!
Thanks so much for this. Really need to hear stuff like this. I've been on the verge of quitting just due to the amount of stress and time it takes to put there together.
Such a cool base! I enjoyed watching your thought process throughout the build. As for what I may use, I loved the spheres. That was a nice touch! I also liked the outer wall design with the different shapes to add dimension so that may be a part of my next build. Thank you for this live video. Very entertaining!
This is damn beautiful base. This kind of stuff is why I love this game and survival games with good building in general, like Rust/Valheim and of cousre 7d2d!
Awesome design. Must be honest, I am also truly impressed that your PC is handling the amount of stuff without any stutters (or at least I don't notice it much). But all in all, amazing design. That zombie didn't let it slide with that spit lol.
Cop was straight up rude! PC is hella overkill, so it was a good test ... I was still down to 30 FPS at times ... and that's with a 7900x3d, 64gb 600mhz DDR5, and a 4090.
underneath the dumps in each fighting area how about put like more electrical fences, blade traps or even turrets down there? unless thats not possible
Always viable. It's a question of how much maintenance you want to deal with after horde night. Also traps steal some of the XP ... especially if you are on MP server. All personal preference!
I'm curious if you have redesigned this base for the updates given in A21. Most importantly the electrical system. How would those changes affect the way you would build this base today?
I have the two live streams that I built this on linked in the description along with a link to my Patreon where I have the base available for download. The stream isn't a block by block instruction as I was putting it together on the fly and stuff this size is nuts to try to make an instructional vid!
I'm so sad that the wiring doesn't work in the download lol - I added it as a POI and all of the wires are missing and my head is bork trying to rewire how you have it lol
Sent you a note on Patreon -- it's how 7DTD is constructed. Wiring is not saved in prefabs as it is connected to a specific user and prefabs are divorced from users -- same reason you can't save items in containers. I'll see if I can do the wiring on stream tonight and you can reference it.
@@WaywardEko No worries! I think that’s always just the struggle with such large builds and so much electrical, it’s a great concept though, I’ll definitely have to build something similar! I want to make a horde base for endgame that utilizes the traps and such and this is beautiful 😂👍🏻
@WaywardEko That makes sense. I'm just on a dedicated server and that wasn't a option for me. Buttttt I got "The Sentinel" build in my base and it is 100% efficient on A21 late game. Had 6 players in it for one hord night, some the most fun I've had on 7Days. I ended up falling off repairing the blads and almost died lol.
Dogs and Vultures IMO are both ignorable. They do nominal damage in the grand scheme of things and it's optional on whether you account for them in horde base design.
So from your perspective no ladder bases are viable. Base is meant to protect during horde and minimize chance of death. This base did that easily while taking minimal damage. That's a win in my book.
@@WaywardEko Yea, even a bronze medal is a "win." It's NOT 10/10 though. That was my comment, and it was accurate. A 10/10 base would not just "consider certain enemy types ignorable." 8/10? Maybe. But a 10/10 means perfect... and just letting dogs and vultures beat the ish out of your base all night is NOT perfect.

I would love to see multiplayer on this. 😉

I have seen so many bases and builders doing great stuff but this was beyond any level I've seen before!
You're making me blush ... this is honestly one of my personal favorites. This one and Void's End.
Dude, you and Guns, Nerds & Steel are becoming my favorite 7 Days YT'ers! well done.

Thanks for joining in the streams! It's a new experiment and I'm enjoying having folks see the process in real time!
Absolutely, I would love to see The Sentinel host a multiplayer horde - the design alone demands it!
Will try to make it happen!

would like to see you ,G9, GNS do a final horde at this base.
You get Glock to sign up and I'm game!
omfg your a hoard base genius this looks amazing
Thanks so much!
Wish this garnered more views and likes because this is sick!
Thanks so much for that!!! Was released in the doldrums before Alpha 21 dropped!
This is the coolest base I've ever seen. Keep up the amazing work!
The next one is coming along well also!! Thanks so much Tegan!!!!
Love the base and really appreciate the production quality of the video.

Thanks Ronald!!
What a cool design! I make effective horde bases, but you make effective bases that look amazing. Kudos to you sir!
Thanks so much!!
I could see the deadly quartet of Genosis, Temreki, IzPrebuilt and you having much mayhem in the Sentinel
hmmmm .... that smells of potential.
Don’t forget NotOnly25, Plan60Games, Mr. Reach & AJ, & Cautious Pancake! Awesome group!

Wish I could make something like this. Amazing looking base.
You absolutely can! Just keep playing with shapes and beg borrow and steal from what you see out there.
Great video.
Thank you!
Does the hatch switch(the pathing change) still work in A21?
Sure does!
I love this base, will it work in 1.0?
Yup!
Are we able to get the files for this build so we can mess around with it?
I have it available for download via Patreon -- www.patreon.com/posts/sentinel-82308889?Link&
I'm curious if you have redesigned this base for the updates given in A21. Most importantly the electrical system. How would those changes affect the way you would build this base today?
So this doesn't work in Alfa21? I'm over 1500 concrete blocks in
Ill find it out and get back to you
@@mrnotsogoodx i was just referring to the building changes, like the electrical wires being hidden now when in A20 they were not.
@@Musclecars4l1fe ohh oka
This will work in A21 -- you could be lazier with the electrical because the cables are hidden.
Where can i find the video of you building this? My friends and i would love to make this in our world

what's the demotions for the center part?

Maybe one day!
Add in turret for both side
Completely valid option!
Can you build these for my world lmao idk cuz i want to build these in steps if u have link
Too big for a tutorial but I do have it available for download on my Patreon (www.patreon.com/posts/sentinel-82308889?Link&).
What addons are you using?
None. This is all basic 7DTD with no mods.
base is legit forget the paiting tho probably took longer than building it lmao
Thanks Tranqed!!! You aren't kidding ... insane time on the paint.
This base fails because it does not account for dogs. No 10/10 horde base lets any zombie type just beat on walls with no pathing.
Dogs and Vultures IMO are both ignorable. They do nominal damage in the grand scheme of things and it's optional on whether you account for them in horde base design.
