About Seinfeld:
Seinfeld stars Jerry Seinfeld as a stand-up comedian whose life in New York City is made even more chaotic by his quirky group of friends who join him in wrestling with life's most perplexing, yet often trivial questions. Often described as "a show about nothing," Seinfeld mines the humor in life's mundane situations like waiting in line, searching for a lost item, or the trials and tribulations of dating. Co-starring are Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Jerry's ex-girlfriend and current platonic pal, Elaine Benes; Jason Alexander as George Costanza, Jerry's neurotic hard-luck best friend; and Michael Richards as Jerry's eccentric neighbor, Kramer.

I just noticed the note behind Joe’s counter “prices are subject to change according to customer’s attitude“ lol
Good eyes! I didn´t notice it!:)))
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😆😆😆♥️
I just noticed it lol, good eye
I didn't notice 😂😂
He must have really liked George then. Seriously, four big bags of fruit for only $28.60 in New York City? I don't know what the conversion rate for inflation is, but that sounds like a bargain even in the 90s.
Joe must get good business to be banning two customers with confidence like that.
Of course he's got good business, the super market doesn't have one decent piece of fruit. The apples are mealy, the oranges are dry, I don't know what's going on with the papayas!!!
@@giraffesareselfish9563 I haven't had a decent papaya in the longest time. the conventional papaya is all genetically engineered and only wholefoods carries organic papaya and they've been horrible for years.
@mustaffa1611 organic is a scam
@@giraffesareselfish9563 what about the consumer reports magazine I bought last year that tested 40+ fruits/vegetables and compared organic to non-organic? didn't organic win like 90% of the time?
@@mustaffa1611 won what?
Ha ha, Seinfeld casting agent was perhaps one of the best in tv history. These people they hire for the smaller roles never seemed like they were acting, but were the real people.
They were real people
they just look like oscar winners next to jerry seinfeld's acting
Ay the wardrobe dept dressed George and Kramer like a pair of mangoes 🤣🤣🥭🥭
What is hilarious is that Jerry is so bad at acting but literally everyone else down to the bit characters with 1-2 lines puts their heart and soul into it
That's the magic of a show like Seinfeld. They have all of these one off characters each episode that are hilarious, but the show doesn't over use them.
I love how Jerry made it obvious the fruit wasn’t for him 😂
The plums with the red inside- that along with the plantains were dead giveaways.
He was the best bad actor ever
@@dinakay330 The show's soo good! you almost forget lol 🤷🏾♂️
The plantains did him in lol
Wow maybe that’s part of the joke
“This whole place is going *vwooop* downhill!” 😂 love that line.
When he told Frank his holiday was BRRB*BRRUM*BBBH - out there.
His sound effects and hand gestures get me😂
The gesture had me rolling lmfao
"Just getting some fruit for myself" - such a mundane line, but the set up makes it so funny!
Love how George is dressed like a mango while eating mangoes 😅
Never caught that lmao
@@darkness2160 :D I guess this is why this show was so great-everything was spot-on, from casting to writing to set and costume design haha
Or a yellow peanut M & M!
@@JM-zo5me...DEAR GOD!
@@sortofanoakyafterbirth3661My God I watched that scene over and over again on pvr…someone crying out…DEAR GOD! His arm arcing through the air….hysterical!
The way Kramer becomes so emotional about papaya is so funny. Brilliant piece of writing and flawless acting 🤣🤣
The way he delivers that line is so great
The writing is not from this planet.
Jumbalaya
“Alright hold it right there….. this fruit isn’t for you.” 😑
Ever notice that every time Kramer tries to Boycott something, it always backfires!😂
the way he drops the peach in the counter 😂
Plop
It’s so funny how Kramer drops the peach. 0:28
The shop guy was brilliant. The looks, without saying anything. Priceless.
His name is Joe, and he’s just like Mocha Joe from Curb Your Enthusiasm
Joe played a great part!
Love how the fruit storyline is connected with the George struggling with impotence arc 😆
I feel like out of George, Kramer, and Jerry, George would be the best in bed.
@@steverogers7601 how do you feel that Steve ?
@@steverogers7601 not that there's anything wrong with that
@@giraffesareselfish9563 ✋😌🤚
Hahahaha
That fruit-store owner sure know his costumers. 😂 Knows exatly what they buy.
I love how Joe knows what Kramer would buy to the point that he stops Jerry in his tracks.
Amazing how Jerry was so nervous and guilt ridden he couldn’t keep his mouth shut. He should never criticize George’s poker face again.
LOL, it had nothing to do with that. Jerry was trying to get himself banned cuz he didn't want to have to pick up fruit for Kramer.
@@nahor88 I don’t remember that. Do you have a reference?
Dude's acting like a guilty man 💀💀
@@rosario508 I don't think it was ever said but I got the sense that Jerry was sort of trying to get caught. However, you are right George is better at pulling something like that off.
@@zeaferjones1404 It doesn't make any sense though since he obviously asked George to get him fruit from Joe's so he wouldn't have wanted to get banned if he usually goes there. Also why would Kramer or Jerry care if they got banned from a place that has terrible fruit? On the other hand, it seemed like the fruit that George got was good so idk. Also it's weird that Joe kicked out Jerry for buying fruit for Kramer but not George. 🤔
Kramer: “I only got hundreds”
I feel like we’re all glossing over that sentence
He doesnt have a job lol
@@yuvalomrad7090he does odd jobs throughout the show, so it seems like he saves up the money he makes.
Where does Kramer get hundreds from without a job?
@@scottgould6590 multiple odd jobs he's done throughout the show, not to mention the horse racing bet that made him $18,000.
I just watched the calzone clip where he only had a ton of pennies. So it’s either big bills or small change with Kramer.
“I think it moved”
George also said that in season 3 when he had the male masseuse.
Both juicy and ripe.
Yeah we know
@@ArtVandelayOfficial no
That’s a pretty long, dignified, arc

Notice how George wears a Mango Yellow shirt. He truly becomes endowed with the power of the mango.
I noticed the same!
George; "it moved" after eating mango. I am being ironic here: 4 viewers understood mango is a aphrodisiac, WOW I am impressed!
George truly became one with the mango in this episode.
This plot is so simple yet the execution is so priceless!
There ie nothing simple about this. This is one of the best sitcom episodes ever written and easily the best of two or three years before its airing. There is full dialectical coverage of the subject, more substantial that many attempts by scientists, the plotlines are properly connected and developed, and there is excellent character expression and the right amount of rhetorical humor. This is a 10 in a universe of 3 and 4s.

I like how George could get two huge bags of fruit because he’s an expert liar 😆
It's not a lie if you believe it
Even so he was still under suspicion according to him.
1:38
“The apples are mealy, the oranges are dry, I don’t know what’s going on with the papayas!”
Best line from the episode!
Oscar worthy.
It sounds like Frank Costanza criticizing his wife cooking
Estelle: Here's your omelet.
Frank: It's dry
Estelle : That's the way I always make it.
Frank : Well, it sucks!
Estelle : What did you say?
Frank : Your meatloaf is mushy, your salmon croquettes are oily and your eggplant parmesan is a disgrace to this house!
They really are picky about their food in Seinfeld.
i love the contrast between joe the shopkeeper playing it straight - and jerry doing about the worst possible job imaginable of not being suspicious
Joe ain't playing 🍓🍒🥭🍑🍌🤣😂
I mean jerry couldve easily avoided getting banned had he not spoken the entire time he picked out fruit in front of joe
he was nervous for being caught
You’re a gd GENIUS.
@@westmcgee9320 He must have a GD IQ of 160! 😂
He did it on purpose because he didn’t want to have to get Kramer fruit all the time

This is one of my favorite segments in Seinfeld history. Great episode.
R.I.P. Leonard Termo
The writing in this show was brilliant. 👏
Wow i just noticed those signs in the background for the first time. "No Credit Please Don't Ask" and "Prices subject to change according to customer's attitude". That shoulda tipped Kramer off right there what kind of owner Joe is. 🤣🤣🤣 🤣🤣🤣
Nice catch haha
In those days things were different nowadays you can’t do this they can sue for discrimination
Jerry couldn't kept his mouth shut while picking fruits for kramer = banned lol

All that fruit for $28.60? Crazy how times have changed. Those prices in the store I miss dearly :(

People made less then so it's really the same today
Yea would love to get cherries for .99 cents a pound!

Maybe joe still knew it was for them and regretted losing all that money by banning them
The scenes with Joe at the produce market are some of the most New York scenes of the show.
Except Kramer's character has become far over the top by this point so... no.
I love fruit but it always feels like a gamble, I peeled into a perfectly good looking orange and it was green on the inside.

Man that mango looked goooood
Just don’t go to the supermarket for it. The apples are mealy, the oranges are dry, and I don’t know what’s going on with the papayas.

"The Mackinaw's, Jerry!" Hahahha! "You gotta stand behind your fruit!" Right on Kramer!

Cosmo delivers a line like nobody else. That Joe has the best facial expressions. Who is more old school Bookman or Joe at the fruit store?
Mr. Ross
Joe's facial expressions 😂😂😂
Lol. Reminds me of when I was 10 and got banned from the only candy store in our town for getting a little lippy with the owner. Tried to sneak back in a few days later but he recognized me and I apologized. Dodged a bullet there 😆
Joe trying not to laugh when telling Jerry off was hilarious, and Kramer has exquisite shirts

Joe played the perfect cantankerous New York small business owner ever. Good choice for these actors.
The yellow shirt George wears at the end is the same shirt Jeremy Piven wore when he auditioned to play George for the pilot
It can't be the "same shirt!" Perhaps a different shirt that looks the same...🤔
Plantains, mangos, papayas? Kramer really is a Cuban!
Yes. A closet Cubano.
Joe the grocer with Mocha Joe's energy! I like to think Mocha Joe was a tribute to Mango Joe
