A few years ago, when I was in high school, I wanted to start a rock band.
I was eagerly waiting for the day when my band would come together and I could join. But as time went by, nobody approached me, and eventually, my younger friends formed their own rock band. I was too afraid to ask if I could join them.
This experience taught me a valuable lesson - sometimes you have to take matters into your own hands, whether it's pursuing your passion for music, advancing in your career, or starting a business.
Ultimately, you are 100% responsible for making things happen.

Dan Koe - you literally need to consider making presentations in high schools. Youngters brains are so skewed today from not having the correct guidance regarding social media or even just surviving in today's world. The educational providers are not relatable and dictate to kids and focus on all the dangers of the use of social media but with no real balance presented as to how they can use it in a healthy way to excel. You are such a fine example of a well rounded and healthy male figure that kids very urgently need today. I know you are teaching kids online everyday, however, i feel your work is so important that you should actually be in the educational system also in America or better again the western world!! I literally have you ear marked as the most important online role model for my own son for when he get's older! Every single video literally makes me even more in awe of your substance. In the wake of so much crazy stories coming out of America about men who are responsible for influencing the youth and it's so appalling what is coming to light, you remind me of what America is actually capable of creating and of it's greatness. Kids need to be made aware of teachers like you! Also i just saw Kortex, it looks amazing but my pea brain was lost in there. Haha...Brilliance!

Fantastic advice. You learn by doing. When you tell others before completing the goal or giving a good try at completing the goal there can be a lot of doubt interjected from people who will look for the exception to the rule or try to “protect you from failure.” But you learn from failure. And our ideas might be a little more grandiose than the reality. So we have to trial our ideas by actually attempting to apply our talents and skills to them. If all we do is talk about them, we WILL talk them to death. I know from experience. I was highly skilled at killing my ideas by over analyzing.

I can highly recommend the strategy which Dan mentioned half way through. I myself did this sort of manipulation of the algorithms on all my social media and I started to quickly take action on my vision because as soon as I saw something that I was interested in or something which alligned with my future life I was quick to engage with the content, I also did vice versa with every person or content I didn’t like by using the “not interested” feature!
The result is that if you are going to use social media anyways, you at least gain some healthy insights or new ideas which you can apply in YOUR own life :)

5:32 Dan Kennedy refers to this as the Gold Star Syndrome… it’s so true though and I see areas I’ve struggled with this in my life without realizing it. As soon as you tell someone your goal you feel an odd sense of satisfaction, even though nothing has actually been accomplished yet. I’ve decided to not tell anyone anymore until after it happens!

You made me realise something fundamental about myself - I get again kick out of the theory, but fall short on the practical. I get the dopamine hit from knowing and now from the doing. Last night I bought 2 Hour Writer, and although I have been journaling for years, this course (only 2 modules in) has already opened my eyes to a way that I can combine this 'fault' of mine with writing to produce something that will be my lifes work.

The most dopamine by far is released when the question of achieving the goal or not is uncertain (like not being sure whether one gets the Christmas present one wished for). It‘s the means assuring you cling to your efforts instead of giving up too early.

    I'm cancer survivor
    35 years old
Traveled the world for a decade +
    done 50-80 odd jobs ,
worked with brain injured clients as coach for 3 years before diagnosis
now I'm goal less. - nobody iss coming to save me and I don't see next steps which im passionate about
current life season is recovering from chemo treatment and consuming youtube and podcasts without clarity coming through

Clarity will come with time. Take your time to recover. There is a reason our great great ancestors aimed both for healthy body and healthy soul.
There was period of time when you fought for your life. Fingers and nails. Now you have remission and feeling of emptiness. It is natural.
Do your best to get your health back and live your best life. There is a reason why you are here and alive. With time you will discover it. Good luck!

Congratulations on surviving cancer! Do you remember what your vision for your life was, before you got hit with the diagnosis? Is that vision, today, still what you want to achieve? Did it change? Start with writing down what you don't want for your life, which will lead to what you do want. What steps do you need to take to stay healthy and bring the vision for yourself 'alive' ? All the best on your future endeavors. Warm regards, Patty

Hey congratulations on beating cancer, you're ALIVE man !!! That's a better news. You feel like you're in a rut. Try taking a walk and think about what would make you smile in 2 years if you started doing now. And also not to shove the religious thing down your throat but try JESUS too, I know, i know you might have your take and the religious folks but honestly give HIM a try with an open mind. Stay blissful man.
