I just quit smokin weed 3 weeks ago. Im 38 and have been high on weed since i was 13.
The few times i quit smoking weed in my life, i started eating healthier and working out, feeling amazing. So imback on the path of Ascension since i started watching you, Dan.
Thanx for calling me out on my acceptance of Mediocrity.

I know, based on experience, that the drug doesn't change the person, rather the person changes how the drug affects them. I worked 10-hour days with a two-hour commute, still worked out most days (depending on how my knees felt because I didn't allow myself to sit all day,) I cooked clean, and smoked throughout my daily routine. It's your mentality. I mean... everyone is different and you have to focus on yourself, not others. What worked for me was taking breaks from smoking and evaluating my performance to change what I wanted to change while smoking. If you don't like how you are while you're high... then change how you act when you're high. I've realized what works for me and that I don't value many of the things other people do. This video isn't introducing anything new, it's just a reminder, and I do need reminders when i'm focused on other things. I always put this perspective out there because I don't fit into the stereotypical stigma that draws a correlation between marijuana usage and laziness, lack of motivation, drive, etc. I'm the kind of person that will smoke a bowl and go out for a run. Wasting a high is a waste of a high.

Hey I agree I feel like if I’m reading or watching a motivational video then weed really helps me to understand it better and feel more connection to that experience. I don’t think enough people use it to its advantage which is to fully immerse you in an experience. You just have to be intentional about how and when you indulge. Unfortunately a lot of people use it to distract themselves and become dependent on it as an escape from reality.

2 weeks sober here. Had 8 months a few years back before I convinced myself that just smoking one time will be fine. LIES‼️ was trapped back in daily addiction for almost 5 years. Not being able to string together more than 3 or 4 days of sobriety at a time even though I wanted to quit. Finally have broken out of that BROKEN MINDSET and started working full time on personal development and getting my mind, body and spirit right 🙏💯 STAY STRONG AND REMEMBER, PURPOSE > PLEASURE ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️⚠️

I appreciate what he is trying to do and how he is going about doing so. Kudos to him. The proof is right here. He is succeeding using his own techniques 💃🏻🐞💪🏼

The Buddhists had it right when they talked about ‘awakening.’
Our goal is this life should be to awaken - to become as fully alive as possible, mentally, physically, and spiritually.
With this, we become healthy cells within the organism of humanity~

It seems as though you are tying spirituality in with religious ritual and dogma.

These ideas get to the heart of the human condition beyond business. So many people have been broken by well meaning authority figures-parents, doctors, teachers or friends-who told us what we can and cannot do. The learned helplessness robs us of our humanity and our ability to create our lives.

dan realized that people will click on any video that says "how to get ahead of 99% of people". seen this in multiple thumbnails/titles of his highest performing videos. everybody wants to be 'special' i guess. I would like to think, that after a certain level, you shouldn't care about being 'ahead' of anybody. This type of thinking works for competitions, but real life is not a simple contest.

    • @SpicyGramCracker

It’s rough because most of his info is helpful but the whole “everyone wants to be a digital creator” “how to get ahead” is a major turn off and it definitely makes a person look down their ladder instead of up. I can’t make it through a video anymore.

    • @PriusTurbo

It's just a thumbnail and like any other channel, the ones that perform well get repeated. The context of the video is discovered by watching. The projects point is so underrated. I see a lot of people going to university and floating along towards their degree. If you want to be great, every piece of information must be relevant to the thing of interest, which is the interesting project. In doing something personally interesting in your craft, the course material sinks in deep because it all aids towards development with the things you're interested about.
If you're doing engineering, start a project of say, building an rc car. As you tinker away and iterate, all of that once boring course material becomes relevant and thereby significant.
The people who are doing better than you are simply more interested in the thing than you are.
Foster interest by starting a project.

This is really great. It's a culmination of a lot of things I have been studying and actioning put together into a concise format and actionable system. I'm in the middle of the book Alter Ego and it goes into depth a lot of the things about assuming a new identity which is a concept I have not thought of before but it's really a way of counteracting established patterns of the mind and your behavior and a core of why things like resolutions don't stick. I want this work I am doing to come to realization and not be something I just spin my wheels on and I believe a lot of what you are saying in this video addresses eactly that. Good advice even for those who don't necessarily want to become 'creators'.

So far life has been happening to me and I’ve been lucky in some ways that it’s brought me to good starting points but in other ways it’s trapped me. In the past few weeks I’ve made more progress on finishing renovating my house than I had in over a year. I’m working hard to get this project that has been staring me in the face every day for a year and a half finished so I can really just work hard on my deeper goals of creating a stream of passive income this next year. I’ve never felt more sure that I could actually follow through and accomplish things in my life.

Dan is teaching and demonstrating what he knows, what has worked for him, making his message ultimately authentic. And his insights are so detailed and coherent - at his age with this level of insightfulness I could have owned my world, instead of just now recovering from its ownership of me and my family's (lack of) fortune. At 64 I'm cracking this nut and, right at the moment I need some helpful/useful guidance - a teacher has has arrived and delivered "the goods".
Dan - you are simply amazing, and I thank you for giving full voice to your helpful spirit. I live to help, and now, with your help, I will do so much more effectively - with my newly minted hierarchy of purpose. 🤝

I clicked in not because I want to be ahead of anyone. I am very happy for others/anyone to “be ahead of me.” I am trying to steel myself up to engage in a difficult graduate training so I can leave the world better than I found it. I am certain to be the oldest person to ever begin such a program and I seek out tips to be braver, healthier, more motivated, less fearful and to achieve something no one I know has done for reasons important only to me and those I seek to help.

I am blown away! The whole goal thing. I just realized why i dont set goals, when your raised by a parent who was always in survival mode, homeless, etc. Goals are basic survival. As an adult i just go to work pay bills and am gratefull i provided a better situation for my kids. But i just realized i need to set goals for myself, to actually live life and not survive.

I want to thank tou for this video. It contains Very deep and valuable knowledge. Summarizing a lifelong experiences. I’ve been looking for answers for longtime. I am never happy or satisfied even though I continue developing and studying and looking for ways to evolve in my life. Every year passes, I rethink where I were and where I am now and I see a big difference. I believe I did not find what I am made to do yet. And thanks again for pointing this out. The day I stop learning is the day I die! I always felt that I need to do my own thing. I will use the method of projects as you pointed in the video and will see how it goes. Specially that I just got my PMP certification lol.

Thanks Dan, I'm 47 and I started my own wellness business to supplement my IT job. I just finished filming for my TH-cam channel and I'm working on monetizing my wellness blog. You're stuff is great!
I was thinking of joining Modern Mastery and taking the 2 hour writer course. I am trying to come up with some funding, I just spent a fortune in camera equipment and some light overhead to get the business started.
You're channel is a HUGE part of this process, thanks again. I want to pay it back through some of your programs, once I get the funding squared away.
