Very informative video, thanks! I’d love to DIY the oil service on my 992 but don’t have a lift. I’m sure the steps you laid out would still apply. One question though, has anyone here been turned away by the dealership for an early oil service? I like to do mine at around 7500 miles.
Excellent video. I tackled this myself a month ago on my 992 C2S. Kept receipts for the c40 oil, new plug and Porsche oil filter. Reset the oil life with the same Autel. Saved myself a few hundred bucks and a 280 mile trip to mu nearest Porsche service center.
280 mile trip?! That's wild, 1 trip and you're already 10% into your next oil change 😂
Great job bro........ useful video.
Thanks
Thank you... great video that convinced me I can do it! Appreciate your efforts.
Great video - So very clearly explained & interesting - It's definitely taken the fear out of me doing it.
Many thanks.....all the way from London !
You are welcome my friend!
Did you look into other scanners. I just need to reset the service due related to the oil change.
Your scanner is pricey for once a year oil change. I have a 21 992.
This is a very helpful video. I like how detailed you are and the tidbits you mention throughout the video. Keep up the good work!
Nice video your definitely a follow 👍
Great video! I'm looking to sell my air cooled and buy a 991/992 T model and enjoy doing my own maintenance myself.
Good job, Bama guy. Cool garage too. Just watched your cat 100 cell video.
Could I direct message you. I had a question about aftermarket accessories and Porsche not working on any vehicles that have aftermarket equipment. Thanks
Same at the gt3 992?? Thanks!
recommend to use Liqui Moly Leichtlauf High Tech 5W-40 instead of the 4110 as its equivalent to the recommended factory fill Mobil1 0w40 ..top tec series has lower specifications even though it carries the a40 requirements.
The 911 Carrera S is a wonderfull car.
Nice video. I’m in Huntsville, how about you?
Is that a socket laying in the engine bay at 9:17?
Why not Mobil 1?
Funny I own both cars and have same flag banners hanging!!
Why not Mobil 1 with Porsche putting stickers all over the car? Also in the PCM is an area where service is recorded. How is that addressed by you?
I have an Autotel that resets the service times.
Which model Autel you bought?

great video.. but "the art" tho?
The problem with this kind of savings is that if you break a clip or overfill the oil or scratch the car then you’ve spent all the money you could’ve saved by DIY on your $100,000 car. I would change oil on my 996 but will not on my 991.
You just have to be very careful.
