Haven't seen the entire video yet But it absolutely makes sense to replace anything else that you can when performing this task, while you're there. Expensive job for dealerships/mechanics to do.
Holy goodness, I just did my timing chain, now right after getting transmission fault and a leak from the pan. Not shifting correctly. Does that make any sense? I swear they set these up for planned obsolescence. Thank you for the very thorough video. Keep it up.

Great video. Mine is a 2014 with 36K miles. Should I change the fluid since its been 10 years? If yes, can I just change the fluid and not the pan? If I am just replacing the fluid, do I still need to go through the programming? Thanks
Thanks for doing this video I don’t think I’ll do the service but I couldn’t find The procedure anywhere to even see what it entailed. it it will be interesting to see what the lab results are on your fluid color that was a big difference also cool visual.
Hi! Love your content. I have a Panamera 971 and would like to perform the PDK service myself, I purchased a Piwis 3 and will be getting in touch with Mars to make sure its programmed right. Do you know if the instructions are the same for my 971? If not can you point me in the right direction? I can't seem to find a guide on rennlist either. Thanks in advance
Hey brother kick ass content! San Antonio here with a 2011 turbo Panamera just had for about 4 months with 52k miles on it and will definitely look forward for assistance nearing the 60k mile mark. Got a question, got a battery change and have 4 fault codes popping up now. Do you have access/ capability to removing/deleting them??? I was advised to go to dealership but that’s the last thing I’ll do. Went to a local shop who works on European and they quoted me $299 and will take 2-3 hours. Wondering if there is anything less than or if you know of someone who can do that. BTW sick ass C-10 bro, I’ve watched some of your other vids. I also have a 2003 single cab Silverado w some mods. Take care man and hope to hear from you
If you find yourself just north of Austin on a weekend let me know. Your battery needs to be programmed with the piwis and you will need to have the vehicle handover process completed more than likely.
I called the Porsche dealership and they want $1800 to do the trans fluid and filter change...I've changed all air bags, struts, control arms, compressor, valve block etc. by myself so yeah....I'll follow your video and do this too lol. I have the Launch X431 scanner and it has the trans service feature so I should be good. Fingers crossed....thanks for the thorough video!
Yea, I just did my timing chain and now getting transmission fault, doesn't want to shift correctly. I noticed the transmission fluid seems to be leaking. What a nightmare these cars are.
Hello, do you check the oil level when the engine is running or do you check it when the engine is turned off?Piwiss, ignition on, engine on, off and check the oil level. The Pdk has a dry oil sump, so only when you start the Pivis and disengage the clutch can you see the oil level?
Thanks for sharing this work- Did you realize any change in how the transmission shifts once you replaced the mount? My panamera seems to jerk forward when taking off from a standstill and I am wondering if it could be due to my mounts being bad.
I did actually notice my car overall is not shaking as much on idle. I did a calibration on the transmission also so it just feels so much better overall
Nice- thanks for the feedback. I did check mine and they still look brand new. I went to the dealership and they told me this was a normal characteristic of the, do you feel like your jerks at times coming out of a stop?

Hey great jobs explaining. Where are you located. I have a 2011 pan4. The car went into limp mode the morning we got up to go to church. The car made it home the day before fine. It was the next morning when everything went haywire.

To be quite honest. I wouldn't worry about a bottle count. Just make sure your car is level. Just fill her up until you have just the slightest amount coming out of your fill port.
@@TomorrowsTek I got that part from your video. Just need to know how many bottles to order. I think you started with 9, but ended up with 3 leftover? So I’m thinking maybe order 7? Btw I reached out to Mars. Thanks again for uploading. Good stuff!
I did not bother to contact the dealer to get a quote. I live in Austin Tx our dealer is very overpriced. I can say it cost me around 700 in material to do it myself. I have googled the repair online. some say it could get upwards around 2k to have a dealer do the repair. it would be much cheaper if this is your 60k service and you do not replace the pan.

Always open the fill plug first before the drain plug, you dont want to drain the fluid and cant fill it up due to plug damage or anything else.
