Yay for me - I now have both the ONE X and the Max. I am a small fish in the TH-cam 360 world and haven’t had all the 360 experience as you and many others so can only compare these two cameras. But for me from a usability point of view and for vlogging I’m in love with the Max 😍 I love the mic quality and the touchscreen - more comparisons need to be done on image quality but I like the images I have seen so far. A lot more testing has to be done and as you say you shouldn’t upgrade unless you can afford to but if you don’t have a 360 camera I would say the max is much easier to use for beginners with a less steep learning curve and will bring more people into the 360 world. Looking forward to your full review 👍🏼

What do you guys think?! Hero8 or Max?!
I'm still using my gopro hero 2. Borrowed a one x. So I'm upgrading to the max. If the hero2 has last me this long I'll be perfectly fine with the max for some time to come.
You’ve missed a few of the main points to this camera. 1st pro point to make is the go pro plus subscription. Cloud storage and replacement GoPro max if damaged. If you break that one x you’ll be sending back to la la land to get it fixed for a substantial fee. 2nd pro point is the included lenses for protection that doesn’t blur your image unlike the venture case. It’s battery life is better and lasts an hour unlike the one x 20-30 mins. It’s attachments are universal throughout the range.
I think the beauty of MAX which you haven't touched on is it's ability to also capture 1440 or 1080 content on either of the lens - so you essentially can use it in far more ways than just a 360 camera and no other camera in this bracket currently offers that... and it also has 6 microphones which from an audio perspective far outweighs it's competitors
Gilbert Tumaneng It is not just about being waterproof regarding housings - the housing on the Insta 360 ONE X seems to introduce noticeable distortions, so even with a housing on, the Insta is not as good as the Max when it comes to getting wet.
I've just recently considered getting a 360 camera and have seen a few of Ben's videos. The thing I've noticed about his videos versus other reviewers is that he goes beyond the shooting process and discusses software and editing capabilities. The other reviewers seem to be more concerned with the "cool" looks and basic functions. Just my two cents.I'm getting closer to figuring out which camera to purchase. Thanks for your vids!
Hi ben... is the gopro max any good for virtual tour .... i just bought your courses for virtual tour does this match the insta one x or is it better ? How is the dynamic range ? Would u recommend to buy it for virtual tour?
Hi, I already got my MAX, and yes I agree that it’s not an amazing improvement from my 360X, but my experience with the Insta has been frustrating at times, Movies too often just don‘t save and block the camera, I have to take the battery out to use it again! Display is so basic, that during the day I don‘t manage to change settings, it’s so upsetting to film instead of taking a photo and vice-versa ! Personally I make more photos than I make movies, and the Fusion was said to make better photos than the 360X, and I love the 270° Pano possibility ! Now, I definitely expect important updates: HDR, 4K for Hero mode, Slowmotion, RAW !!! Can you make you next review making comparisons about photo qualities, and not just about videos and mobile workflow for kids and youtubers, personally I like seeing on my desktop and make thing good more than to make them fast ;-) thanks. If the next 360X gets a screen and more mps, then …
Your one x may be broken, i used mine extensively (I mean constantly as my only travel cam). Never had single lock up, never had video not save. I am not one x evangelist or saying it is the best cam, but your issues are not here. Used Gopro hero 7 and I can say I had my share of lockups. I am not going for MAX, the one x is good enough right now. Waiting for next gen of those, probably would be one x 2.
Hi Ben, Can i check if you used the gopro max to shoot the 360 video footage that you included in the above clip? I saw a few footage from a few users 's gopro max and their resolutions were so bad. Meanwhile the one you have shot in the above video seems so nice (from 20.27 to 20.40). When i enquired at one of the distributors they were telling me it could be due to the settings that they used that resulted in lousy resolutions or it could be that their phones or their computer that has poor graphic processing capabilities that caused the poor resolution. Could you give me some of your opinions and advice on this? I wanted to get gopro max but i was worried that the resolution would be so bad and i was almost deciding to get the gopro hero 8 now. But when i saw the resolution of your clip above, i was thinking it was actually great. Maybe give me some insights will you? Thank you.
Ok so for putting a camera on my boat for fishing for videoing footage of the fish coming towards the boat in the water and videoing of the fisherman reeling in the fish in at the same time would the max be a good camera??
Florida Life That, Mr or Ms Florida Life is the best comment here. It hadn’t occurred to me that the replaceable prongs on both Max and Hero 8 could potentially be replaced by a metal plug with a ¼ tripod thread. A tripod mount would be the best upgrade to a GoPro ever! I’d buy one!
I already have the INSTA360 one X, but I will still probably get the Max. Voice control, water resistant out the box plus that screen, will make it worth while for me. Love the INsta, but in sunny days, I always need to use the phone to even see what it is doing. I know its not groundbreaking, but its now doing what the Fusion (which I also have) should have done at the start, with the single SD card and Insta like workflow.
Which 1/4 to GoPro adapter do you use? The one I have has a slight curve in it (presumably to angle a Hero camera) and I think that's why I get an artifact in the stitch. I prefer the Insta 360 One X pole because it's light, thin, strong, and long, but the Max Grip did a better job eliminating everything in the stitch.
I don’t think a threaded port is as adjustable as the current way of mounting where you can tilt the angle flexibly. This is a action camera and screw port mount other than not as adjustable, it is not as secure unless you put some thread locker fluid in there.
I bought it cause I shoot a lot of GoPro and wanted to keep the look the same. I love it! The hero mode is great and the app works a lot better this year.
I have a question . When we are on recording the video and we are using the front camera so can we turn on the back camera without stop the recording ?

I know you mentioned that for extreme sports the GoPro is the way to go but let me ask it explicitly: If I need the camera to be water and possibly shock-proof (for snowboarding, wakeboarding and other activities in / near water) is there any potential alternative now or anticipated in the near future, like the following months? I'm not looking for something specifically not GoPro, just curious whether there is any reason to _not_ buy it (I don't own a 360 camera yet).
The Good thing about my max is.. It did drop from my motorbike running a speed of 80kph, but it still working even if there is a damage on the screen which I did not put the cover unfortunately.
@Ben Claremont, i had the fusion for just the reasson you say in this video, i sold it with in 2 months.. problem is that 360 cams are WAY too fragile theese days that i dare using them in any extremesports.. yeah greate fatures and nice vid, but 1 scratch on the lens and the cam is rubbish.. not beeing able to protect it makes it worthless in actionsports unless your a sponsored athlete.. any amature athlete risk wasting way too much mony compared to the lack of editing skills to use the 360 fottage creative.. if you look at the sport of skydiving, paragliding, hanggliding and BASEjumping, only the sponsored athlets use these cams, for just that reasson..
I use my cameras mostly for sport sailing where the camera can get wet... the GoPros are the only cameras I know that are waterproof without a case. I tested the rylo and the insta one X but with the case the stitching is not good and you have a lot of glare... do you know any other camera that’s waterproof without case? If not it seems like I need to get the GoPro max. I didn’t buy the fusion because of the workflow but that’s better now.
I don’t think of the Max as a 360 camera. I think of it as a creative 2D device that can shoot a bit of 360 on the side. I get the impression that GoPro took a deliberate decision not to try and out-360 the Insta, but instead took a sideways step into hybrid 360/2D territory. It doesn’t expect to be regarded as the best 360 camera, but it is good enough for casual 360 use. It is not the best Hero camera, but it is good enough for a creative type looking for some footage that looks arty. It does have a feature that is huge for some people (me included) the 270 degree panorama photo mode. It is both perfectly executed and very useful. So I will get the Max, but will also shop for the next gen Insta ONE X for more serious 360 shooting.
So I just got the GoPro fusion about a month ago. I know I know I’m late. Will it be worth it to sell it and get the max. Obviously dropping more money then I paid for in the beginning?
Would you say that to take 360 videos in the beach and in tropical island weather the GoPro is a better option over the Insta360 with a water proof cover?
Which do you think is best for mounting on the windshield frame of a convertible, (or maybe top window corner with a suction solution?), and what do you think will be the best in terms of audio? Because obviously when driving, I don't want to just record crazy wind noise....
ok gonna throw something at you.... do i buy the insta360 x2 and pay now and wait til late december for delivery or do I buy the gopro max??? need to decide kind of right away due to a sale in my city where its $200 bucks off both cameras.... also does the go pro max have external mic jack???? please any advide?
Thank you Ben for a wonderfully informative video! I have to say that I bought the Gopro Max and am VERY happy with it. Granted, it doesn't have the high frame rates of the Insta360 One X/R or higher resolutions compared to other 360 cameras. This is pretty disappointing but I think Gopro did this to avoid cannibalizing off've their Gopro Hero 8 product line. Either way, this is a bummer. However, despite the Max's shortcomings, I really appreciate and value the Gopro Max offers--especially with the Gopro Plus insurance subscription. 360 cameras, to date, have non-replaceable lenses. Gopro Max is no different. However, with the Gopro Plus subscription, Gopro will replace (without question) twice a year your Gopro Max at no extra cost. With other 360 cameras on the market--you so much as damage the lens--you're screwed (...or nearly as screwed). Because of Gopro Plus insurance, the Gopro Max is a buy worth looking into and, in MY opinion, worth it! P.S I only think the Gopro Plus insurance subscription is worth it if you get it for covering the Gopro Max. It is stupid for the Hero 8 as the Hero 8 has the non-replaceable lens cover as opposed to it's predecessors (Gopro Hero 5 Black , 6 Black and 7 Black) when it was working perfectly with their replaceable lens covers. Gopro made the Hero 8's lens non-replaceable to force you to get the Gopro Plus subscription--which is a greedy as hell move, if you ask me... Just my two cent.
Hey Ben, good to see you back for camera reviews and good luck with your 360 tours endeavor. My question is do you think they’ll add HDR mode in the future? Plus maybe enhance the stitching on this max? It’s so visible due to its thickness. Thanks and nice work as usual. 👍
I THINK GOPRO can works better for me cause got better form than others cause i wanna use for the motorcycle racing. should be monted on the motorcycle tail, front or each sides on the fairings. whats your advice about?
Thanks for your revision. Just one question: Is it possible to get a .mp4 file (of a 360 footage) out of the Max in windows OS? The new "Max Exporter" Software doesn´t do this job. And the insta360 studio software does not accept the .mov files. And a renaming of the .360 files (to .mp4) doesn´t work either. Do you have solution? Thanks for an answer...
Question I just got a GoPro Hero 7 white and according to a couple of TH-cam videos is garbage, also the black is not all that good and the one you are talking about is not all that or even worth buying so what will be the best action camera for the money to buy?
I film a lot of four wheel driving travel videos. I have been thinking about one of the 360 cameras for a while. Im thinking the Max will work well in my travel videos, for capturing different angles from one camera. Thanks for your review.
Good to hear an honest opinion! I'm happy with my Insta360 One X, only have it for 5 months so I actually hope that Insta360 will continue releasing firmware and app updates for this one.
@@BenClaremont Thanks. My use case would be to use it as a camera between two talking heads style podcast, then using the reframing feature to get a multiangle "normal" 1080p video or for walk & talk videos where I would just reframe this mic adapter out if it's supported.
Got two insta products and both are reckt after 1 week of light usage (insta R one) on pre order. Had a weird battery circut issue, and then bought insta x 2 and this one failed after only 1 time of use. It's not charging and not opening at all. And they have the worst customer service ever. Help! I just got the GoPro Max for Xmas, does it do 3D virtual reality like that 360 nano? I have to refund soon if not. My favorite feature is 3D 😬 then 360
Is the new app and editing software compatible with the Fusion? My point being, I already have a Fusion and want to know if I need to purchase the Max in order to benefit from the software improvements? Thanks!
I probably should have watched this before I bought a max, haven’t used it yet, although it looks way better and easier to use than my Theta V. I can’t get it to put out videos in any useful way, and I can’t edit them! That’s one thing I am looking forward to using, GoPro software seems to be really good. Anyway I will use it and see how I go. Can’t be worse than the Ricoh, right?
Actually Ricoh is the most established brand in the 360 space, and their cameras are better than GoPro’s. But still the Max is a fun camera and you’ll get good use out of it 👍
GoPro mount actually makes sense. It's an action camera so it's easy to clean mud and sand off with that mount than a hole that you can't replace if something get stuck.
HI Ben! Thanks for all of your review! Witch one is the best for create 360 vidéo for VR headset? I have to make somethings for my student and I want the best quality. I dont realy have price limite (Its a good thing). Before this vidéo I conciderate Insta 360 one R or The Max... But now I'm realy confuse!!! Thanks for every things... I have to tell than I like prety much the color of Gopro but!
I've send my Max back just some hours ago. IMO not worth the hype. The software is a pain to use and in all its versions unreliable (I've tested windows, android, mac / Adobe Premiere). Not sure right now if I'll replace it with the hero 8 or if i should wait for the next thing from sony.
Great video! I’m definitely holding off before moving on from the Fusion as I’m fortunate enough to have a great PC that allows me to get around the workflow issues most run into with that camera. The Kandoa looks intriguing and excited to see the new 360 cameras hitting the market in the near future!
I have a GoPro Max, One of my favorite features is the horizon lock, I'm not sure if insta360 has this feature but I trust more in an American company and would waste money on supporting a Chinese company. Also we shouldn't be to far away from GoPro releasing their new products for 2020
I was so looking forward to the GoPro Max to replace my Hero 5 and finally get into 360 for some kiteboarding videos. But why isn't anyone talking about the lack of slo-mo?!? An "action-cam" with no slo-mo (high frame rates) ain't no action cam!!!! So, now I've gotta either wait for GoPro Max II, or Insta360OneX (v2) and hope it comes with slo-mo and is waterproof - or maybe I'll just get GoPro Hero8 and forget 360... ugh. Decisions, decisions. Why No Slo-Mo???? Why?????
Are you not bothered by the fact that GoPro is almost twice cheaper than some of your mentioned alternatives? It is bulky, for sure. But at leats it has a decent price.
I only will be using and editing on an Android phone and using Power Director for final editing which is also an Android app. With this in mind, would you go with the Max or One X?
@@BenClaremont thanks for responding! I guess I'll wait for a video showing the work flow of the R on the Android app. However, since it's Android, I believe I'm going to be waiting a very, very long time. They have not been on top of the Android sector in the past or currently.... So maybe it's not worth waiting? Hmmmm, tough decision.
@@BenClaremont one more quick question, don't you think that Insta 360's Android phone app is a major flaw? Have you done your work flow exclusively on an Android app with no PC editing?
Thanks for the video, Ben. I am very enthusiastic about Google street view. I see this camera has good stitching. Can it be integrated with google street view? Does the One X2 have any better stitches than the GoPro Max?
Just started playing with the Max and so far I agree completely with your thoughts. Glad I bought it, was hoping for more. Happy to have a camera that won't die or get scratched during ski season. But no slow mo in 360???
They have protective lenses that comes with it. Will these make the Pano or at least one lens take sharp photos when underwater. The snorkeling shot in the promo appears to be sharp. I doubt it would stitch well, but can at least one side be useable/sharp?
Well now I am stuck with the 360 camera by gopro got it for a Christmas gift. My tablet doesnt work with the app I mean I cant download it. I dont use a cellphone, but I will buy a laptop but as I scawer TH-cam I find nobody covering this topic. What is a good reasonably priced laptop that will work with the program app download my videos edit and upload to TH-cam????????? Help

Is the Max good enough to do virtual tours with?
Will test
I think the beauty of MAX which you haven't touched on is it's ability to also capture 1440 or 1080 content on either of the lens - so you essentially can use it in far more ways than just a 360 camera and no other camera in this bracket currently offers that... and it also has 6 microphones which from an audio perspective far outweighs it's competitors
Yeah will cover that in my review.. this is more of a first impressions for the things that stood out to me personally
One of the biggest advantage that the GoPro Max has over the competitors is that it's waterproof without a housing required.
Gilbert Tumaneng It is not just about being waterproof regarding housings - the housing on the Insta 360 ONE X seems to introduce noticeable distortions, so even with a housing on, the Insta is not as good as the Max when it comes to getting wet.
dont forget the buildin GPS, i hope they make a remote for the max to, using a phone is ok, but hey, its a phone, not a remote controller hehe
I love my Insta360 One X but hate the Fusion's twin card rubbish. I will sell it on ebay and get a Max.
I got the GoPro app update yesterday for the iPhone and iPad, makes it editing the max 360 movies easier. (Second update this week)
Thanks! Doing my best :)
Hi ben... is the gopro max any good for virtual tour .... i just bought your courses for virtual tour does this match the insta one x or is it better ? How is the dynamic range ? Would u recommend to buy it for virtual tour?
Hey- to be honest I would get the Theta Z1 or XPhase Pro since they are more photo focused cameras.. One X and Max are video focused
Can you make you next review making comparisons about photo qualities, and not just about videos and mobile workflow for kids and youtubers,
personally I like seeing on my desktop and make thing good more than to make them fast ;-) thanks.
Is it possible that the issue is related to the SD card you're using?
pjdaprinz yes, I think so, I used a ProGrade 64Gb V60 etc… have to use one of my Sandisk ones to check !
How is the quality on MAX in linear mode? On my Hero 6 it is much better than on MAX.
Hi Ben,
Can i check if you used the gopro max to shoot the 360 video footage that you included in the above clip?
Thank you.
Hey- yes all the 360 shots here were done with MAX. Will release more soon 👍
Ok so for putting a camera on my boat for fishing for videoing footage of the fish coming towards the boat in the water and videoing of the fisherman reeling in the fish in at the same time would the max be a good camera??
Yes it would
Thanks that’s awesome!
I am really confused ,what to buy
Insta 360 one x or go pro 360
Plz help me decide
Does GoPro max is good for virtual tour photo and virtual tour video?? Thanks in advance
Since the bottom mount is user replaceable someone should develop a metal quarter twenty screw in mount 🤔
That would be good
Florida Life That, Mr or Ms Florida Life is the best comment here.
I own both and I much prefer the Insta360 ONE X over the GoPro Max. I agree with most all of your points.
I found a great one after making this by Joby.. it’s called the Joby Pin Join Mount 👍
Which model were you using previously?
I have a question . When we are on recording the video and we are using the front camera so can we turn on the back camera without stop the recording ?
I know you mentioned that for extreme sports the GoPro is the way to go but let me ask it explicitly: If I need the camera to be water and possibly shock-proof (for snowboarding, wakeboarding and other activities in / near water) is there any potential alternative now or anticipated in the near future, like the following months?
I'm not looking for something specifically not GoPro, just curious whether there is any reason to _not_ buy it (I don't own a 360 camera yet).
I’d say this is probably the best choice for any kind of sporting activity 👍
If I have zero cameras other than my phone, would you recommend the max, as a primary on the go vlog camera?
Yes, if you’re ok with HD quality
👍👍👍
I use my cameras mostly for sport sailing where the camera can get wet... the GoPros are the only cameras I know that are waterproof without a case. I tested the rylo and the insta one X but with the case the stitching is not good and you have a lot of glare... do you know any other camera that’s waterproof without case? If not it seems like I need to get the GoPro max. I didn’t buy the fusion because of the workflow but that’s better now.
All of that is good as well. But what I wanna know is can you go deep scoober diving with it?
Good point
So I just got the GoPro fusion about a month ago. I know I know I’m late. Will it be worth it to sell it and get the max. Obviously dropping more money then I paid for in the beginning?
Would you say that to take 360 videos in the beach and in tropical island weather the GoPro is a better option over the Insta360 with a water proof cover?
Yeah
Which do you think is best for mounting on the windshield frame of a convertible, (or maybe top window corner with a suction solution?), and what do you think will be the best in terms of audio? Because obviously when driving, I don't want to just record crazy wind noise....
hi! Which camera is better for a real estate virtual tours gopro max or insta360? Thanks!!
problem is that seems chipset manufacturer like ambarella are not pushing out higher resolution products.
Can you use the chest mount and get the benefits of the 360 camera??? Sounds crazy I'm sure but this is all new to me.
ok gonna throw something at you.... do i buy the insta360 x2 and pay now and wait til late december for delivery or do I buy the gopro max??? need to decide kind of right away due to a sale in my city where its $200 bucks off both cameras.... also does the go pro max have external mic jack???? please any advide?
Nay on gopro max. Just bought insta360 one x refurbished for 319 usd. Hope prices drop more after X2.📉💲💲💲
Hello Ben
What is the best 360 I can buy today!?
I am interested in filming 360 videos of my hikes! Aprox 1 hour, 1 hour 30 a hike.
Thanks! Yes will look for this :)
Can editing the max be done on android phones or just iPhone only? I've been using 360onex just love it.
DocKen Runner 42.195 you can use android as well
I THINK GOPRO can works better for me cause got better form than others cause i wanna use for the motorcycle racing. should be monted on the motorcycle tail, front or each sides on the fairings. whats your advice about?
Thanks for your revision. Just one question: Is it possible to get a .mp4 file (of a 360 footage) out of the Max in windows OS? The new "Max Exporter" Software doesn´t do this job. And the insta360 studio software does not accept the .mov files. And a renaming of the .360 files (to .mp4) doesn´t work either. Do you have solution? Thanks for an answer...
I’m not on Windows unfortunately.. will try to find out though 👍
Thanks, great comments! I think I'll wait as I have the One X now.
Thanks Budd- good choice :)
Question I just got a GoPro Hero 7 white and according to a couple of TH-cam videos is garbage, also the black is not all that good and the one you are talking about is not all that or even worth buying so what will be the best action camera for the money to buy?
I mostly cover 360 cams on my channel so probably couldn’t give you the best advice here. But the Max is definitely worth considering.
I film a lot of four wheel driving travel videos.
I have been thinking about one of the 360 cameras for a while.
Im thinking the Max will work well in my travel videos, for capturing different angles from one camera.
Thanks for your review.
That night walking shot is amazing. Thanks for the honest review. Signed: A GoPro Lover.
🍻
I have the GoPro Max and I really love it!
Good to hear an honest opinion! I'm happy with my Insta360 One X, only have it for 5 months so I actually hope that Insta360 will continue releasing firmware and app updates for this one.
Yeah they've been great with updates :)
Can you use an external mic with it? I know it doesn't have a mic input itself, but maybe using the GoPro USB-C to 3.5mm mic adapter? Thanks.
Will look but I’m pretty sure you can’t as 360 cameras see everything and the mic would be in shot 👍
@@BenClaremont Thanks. My use case would be to use it as a camera between two talking heads style podcast, then using the reframing feature to get a multiangle "normal" 1080p video or for walk & talk videos where I would just reframe this mic adapter out if it's supported.
If it could film under water it would be the perfect travel companion, needs a waterproof housing
Sir, is go pro max good if shooting underwater???
Will I be able to import the Video from MAX to FCPX? thank you
Got two insta products and both are reckt after 1 week of light usage (insta R one) on pre order. Had a weird battery circut issue, and then bought insta x 2 and this one failed after only 1 time of use. It's not charging and not opening at all. And they have the worst customer service ever. I will definitely buy from now on gopro products.
Hi , I’ve got the insta 360 one camera. Is it worth upgrading to one of these two cameras that you are reviewing , or wait till they bring out the new insta 360 x2. I only use my camera for family holidays and outdoor hobbies, thanks
I think One X or Max are both great.. for that purpose they are already more than enough :)
No RAW or HDR capabilities is making me reconsider my purchase, unfortunately. Huge deal IMO.
Thanks!
Not sure.. why don’t you try and tell me 😉
I probably should have watched this before I bought a max, haven’t used it yet, although it looks way better and easier to use than my Theta V.
Another informative video but still no mention of the video stability.
I need to know if this camera has better video stability than the GoPro 7
It has MUCH better stabilization than HERO7 Black and even HERO8. Plenty of videos on TH-cam that show this.
I've send my Max back just some hours ago. IMO not worth the hype. The software is a pain to use and in all its versions unreliable (I've tested windows, android, mac / Adobe Premiere). Not sure right now if I'll replace it with the hero 8 or if i should wait for the next thing from sony.
Great report.. can u get the videos on your camera roll if you can’t get the photos on there 🤔?
Why?????
One X has 120fps 😉
Ben Claremont yes, One-X has 120 but not waterproof (without that case) bit sure how good that'll be out on the ocean water
Do you need any type of lens protection to GoPro Max for diving up to 16 ft?
I have gopro hero 5 and my problem is the inside got wet. And now it’s not working anymore is there any chance to work again?
Are you not bothered by the fact that GoPro is almost twice cheaper than some of your mentioned alternatives? It is bulky, for sure. But at leats it has a decent price.
The best and most honest review - Thank you Ben
I got one today. A friend sent me some files to play with. I still think the fusion is better, but the work flow is much better with the max.
I only will be using and editing on an Android phone and using Power Director for final editing which is also an Android app. With this in mind, would you go with the Max or One X?
Probably One R :)
I'd like a back to back test against the fusion, does x265 improve the image quality over x264
I used a Insta360for a week…Just returned it to vendor…Never could upload to Facebook and have the 360 feature…
Hi May I know the type of camera that you are filming from?
Thanks Mr. Ben for the updates!
Was that night shot a 360 video off the go pro?
Thanks for the video, Ben. I am very enthusiastic about Google street view. I see this camera has good stitching. Can it be integrated with google street view? Does the One X2 have any better stitches than the GoPro Max?
This type of camera should NEVER use a standard tripod thread since they're extreme sports cameras at heart. Which would you rather break?
It’s not a one size fits all camera.. I’ve never used mine for sports. It’s just a personal preference really.
Just started playing with the Max and so far I agree completely with your thoughts. Glad I bought it, was hoping for more. Happy to have a camera that won't die or get scratched during ski season. But no slow mo in 360???
Happy testing!
They have protective lenses that comes with it. Will these make the Pano or at least one lens take sharp photos when underwater. The snorkeling shot in the promo appears to be sharp. I doubt it would stitch well, but can at least one side be useable/sharp?
Will test 👍
I like the Max, but I will take you advice and hold out for a little longer. And see what's coming down the road in the next couple of months.
ALSO - gopro MAX does NOT have 360 SLOW MOTION for action shots - INSTA one X has 100fps slow motion..!
Help
Happy to see your honesty in each and every video you produce Mr. Ben!
Thanks! Doing my best 👍
