I made the chickpea orange chicken twice, it was delicious! Second time around I tweaked it slightly by adding 2 extra dates and reduced the amount of vinegar! Keep up the good recipes!
I recently converted to veganism and your page is definitely helping me. I live in the South and there are always cookouts and restaurants with lots of pork, beef etc. I can't thank you enough for helping this country girl raised on meat with converting over.
Girl you love a sweet potato EVERYTIME I pick one up I see my husband smiling face and I see your smiling face but I never hear you talk about the Japanese sweet potato if you haven't tried it it's a must-try please you love it
Ooooooh, I love japanese sweet potatoes too. But since I'm from Georgia I can't help but have a real special place in my heart for the garnets and jewels, etc ❤️ BTW, just picked up some Okinawan purple sweet potatoes yesterday. Have you had them? Super sweet!
You seem like the kind of person who always knows just what to say to make you feel better. Thank you for making the transition easier for those of us in "the struggle". Love your videos.
I've been glued to your channel for a couple of weeks during my transition to veganism at almost 60 years old! I'm bringing in my whole family of 3 sons, 3 daughters, with twelve grand kids, and your videos are so easy and informative for us all..thank you so much!
I tried being vegan before and felt it was too expensive, that was years ago. I have been vegetarian for 10yrs. Now and just went vegan 3wks ago and you have made my transition so much more easier and I just wanted to say thanks you! I order your cookbook, but have made several of your meals already from TH-cam. AWESOME!!!!
She definitely does! BTW it's awesome to see how fast her channel is growing😁. Congratulations and we hope to be as succesful as you are, working hard for it💪🏽
You have inspired me to go on a plant based diet (not ready to go full out vegan just yet), but you are one of the first people I've watched on youtube that actually makes food that looks good. I have been going strong for about a week and I'm very satisfied I never feel hungry and I'm losing weight!
I like how these recipes are simple and customizable. Even though I can't eat the citrus fruits or coconut, I can already picture what to use as substitutes.
If you live near a 99 Ranch, or other Asian market with bulk goods, they have the cheapest rice and Tofu I’ve found. When I lived next to 99 Ranch I went there all the time. I got tofu for around 88 cents to 1.12 for a full brick that would be $2.95 at Fred Meyer. And I could get 20-50 lbs of rice for around 12-18 dollars. They also always had great deals on mushrooms, Tempe, soy curls, etc.
I was trying a plant based diet for a full month, and while it was definitely beneficial especially while using some of your recipes, I lost a lot of weight and I didn't want to. I only added back fish and eggs, but your recipes are inspiring me to try it again. I'll just have to keep educating myself on the diet (since I'm only 15) but thank you for creating awesome recipes!
Idk if this might be helpful to anyone but for the potato curry one I switched out for sweet potatoes. (My dad is diabetic and shouldn't be eating excessive amounts white potatoes). And it still tasted delicious!!!
Hi. I'm a new vegan (not a raw foodist). I'm going to ask several vegans this question. What is your opinion/suggestion regarding what to eat for somebody like me who craves salty foods? I LOVE fruit, watermelon is my favorite! I used to feel addicted to pineapples & strawberries. But again truly I am a salt craver. Thank you!
I am typing this AS I am eating the Orange Ginger Chickpea recipe: My goodness! There's a whole tango of savours and textures going on in my mouth. There's a clear asian influence of yumminess and heartiness yet it's cleverly balanced with a very clean & healthy finesse which doesn't leave you FULL but rather satisfied. I substituted quinoa for rice; a grapefruit for an orange; and apple cider vinegar instead of rice vinegar. I'm not (yet) a vegan, but this was definitely a persuasion booster! Can't wait to share with my boyfriend later. Merci beaucoup :) Hugs from Paris.
I love this video so much! The chili is my favorite, and it would be delicious as a filling in a burrito or as a topping for a veggie burger. I have a few tips. I make marinade in bulk and freeze it. Also I buy my spices at Indian markets (it's much more affordable), particularly at Samosa House/Bharat Bazaar in Culver City (Washington/Berryman). Also you can get good quality Japanese rice in bulk at Marukai in West LA (Pico/Bundy). Farmer's markets often sell produce at a discount at the end of the day. A big one is don't go grocery shopping when you're hungry. There's also SÜPRMARKT, which provides low-cost, organic produce.
These are really fantastic recipes! Please reconsider your canola oil use! It is GMO. I saw you posted a picture of non GMO corn starch, so I thought maybe you would like to know! You can probably find organic canola oil around you but it will cost a lot more. I like to use avocado oil. It has a very high smoke point and avocados naturally have tons of oil in them, so it is technically an amount of oil that you could easily eat from the raw fruit itself in nature.
I just tried your chili recipe and it was FIRE!! I'm new to the vegan community, and I never imagined plant based food could be so flavorful and satisfying. Thank you!
I love your orange chickpeas!!! You have helped me become so much better at cooking. My girlfriend and I just made a recipe video on our channel similar to this one (we linked you in the description), so thank you for the inspiration!
Making the chili now (minus the cilantro because I don't have it). So excited! The broth tastes amazing already! I'm trying it in the slow cooker for dinner tonight
Thank you for such wonderful videos. I love your positive energy and you're gorgeous inside and out. Also, you love to use spices and aromatics and your recipes are YUM. Thanks thanks thanks!!
Let's Do Better Now I have saved so much going Vegan! Just look at these examples on this video as proof! I think people simply are lazy and don't actually make the food but rather buy ready made which are slightly more expensive
Peter Waterloo ty for your comment BUT actually I'm not buying prepared food. I have chosen to shop at a location that carries EVERYTHING I LOVE. Instead of shopping at my local grocery where I have to pick and choose. I am a NEWBIE to your WORLD 💋💋💋
I've been thinking about going vegan at least have the time and your channel is providing the much-needed inspiration to take the leap! Thank you and God bless!
You have such a positive energy and this is a helpful video, so I'm subscribing right away! :) The last recipe especially sounds perfect for freezing it!
I can't believe I just discovered your channel while searching recipes for sweet potatoes haha I really like your videos and am sure gonna binge watch them, keep up the good work!
Absolutely a lovely video! I love all the receipts you shared! I can't wait to try them. Especially the orange chickpea one! One question: preparing all in advance how do you re-heat your food? Microwave?
I love such quick, easy and cheap recipes :) Definately gonna try this chilli recipe! I always did it with canned beans, but I'll give it a try :) Everything looks delicious!
Great video and the recipes look amazing. Could you add a grocery/shopping list or the actual recipes to the comments? It's really hard to catch all the ingredients when they flash by so fast on the screen. Thanks!

considering I'm moving out this next year to go to college and I'm transitioning to a completely vegan diet, this is going to be super helpful!!!
Awesome!! Just gotta plan ahead and write your shopping list, and it works sooooo well!!
SweetPotatoSoul will do!!! thanks so so much! :D
Probably our videos will be very helpful for you too since we are also college students. But beware cause some of our recipes can be addictive😊
Check out getting a rice cooker or crockpot where you can throw these ingredients in and cook it without access to a full kitchen
That's what I did!! (Pst it's easier and cheaper to live off campus)
The meals look delish, but I am REALLY in love with this Every Little Step mix 😍
Girl you love a sweet potato EVERYTIME I pick one up I see my husband smiling face and I see your smiling face but I never hear you talk about the Japanese sweet potato if you haven't tried it it's a must-try please you love it

All of these look so good, especially with school starting soon. Easy, filling meals with little fuss and loads of flavor!!
Thanks I'm always looking to cut cost while still making some good healthy meals for my weekly meal planning these will do nicely.
Idk if this might be helpful to anyone but for the potato curry one I switched out for sweet potatoes. (My dad is diabetic and shouldn't be eating excessive amounts white potatoes). And it still tasted delicious!!!

Thank you!! Yes to the cucumber idea. I have some that I need to make into a salad. I will use that tip 😎
I can't wait to make all these!!!!! 😎So cheap and easy. Also, might I add that you are glowing with beauty!!!! 😍

Let's Do Better Now I have saved so much going Vegan! Just look at these examples on this video as proof! I think people simply are lazy and don't actually make the food but rather buy ready made which are slightly more expensive
Peter Waterloo think you might be right ;)
Peter Waterloo ty for your comment BUT actually I'm not buying prepared food. I have chosen to shop at a location that carries EVERYTHING I LOVE. Instead of shopping at my local grocery where I have to pick and choose. I am a NEWBIE to your WORLD 💋💋💋
And raw vegan even more affordable.
Let's Do Better Now In my experience, meat usually costs way more than even the higher priced veggies, and for a smaller amount too
I've been thinking about going vegan at least have the time and your channel is providing the much-needed inspiration to take the leap! Thank you and God bless!
Awesome ideas, and SO colourful! :)
You have such a positive energy and this is a helpful video, so I'm subscribing right away! :) The last recipe especially sounds perfect for freezing it!

For the chili, if we're using canned beans when do you think it would be best to add them? right after the potatoes?
Thanks!
