I really didn't like how Clone Wars brought Maul back. Don't you just hate how an accepted death gets retconned to survive in expanded universe material? Especially since the reason they created Savage Oppress was so that they could have a Zabrak Sith apprentice without bringing back Darth Maul. And the fact that the Clone Wars cartoon is the only expanded universe material that Disney kept in their canon rather than throwing it in Legends with the rest bothers me.

main issue with "legend books" is that there was never an "official coordinator" and many books "contradicted each other"...................... is same reason I hated the "Star trek books" even if some stories were great ................. a good "book universe" would be one that the "actual main characters" stories had to be 100% approved by the characters' creator and coordinated, and only a few of them, and most of the books would be about minor characters and of "other cities or planets" not related to the main characters and thus would not have any implications of possible future movies.

I like star wars how they used different cultures in the film's.... Indian names like sheev (Lord shiv) and padme (Padma meaning lotus...she was beautiful) again the name Luke....Darth Vader...which is from invader but again in Germanic language Vader means father....

I have to push back on that. My entire character represents the ideal Jedi. If I'm directly related to Rey, it means I broke the Jedi code and that would ruin my character and everything I represent. It would make me no different from Anakin when my role is quite literally to be the opposite of Anakin. Where he makes mistakes I make amends. Where he fails I succeed. And where he expresses doubts I express faith. That's the point of my character.

Obi-Wan doesn't kill Darth Maul on Naboo. He cuts him in half and he survives. Later into Star Wars Rebels (quite some time later) Maul go's to Tataouine to confront Obi-wan for the last time and ends up being killed by Obi-Wan.
Pretty sad how much they cut down the Skywalker lineage. I guess I understand since Disney probably is gonna make their own trilogy that if the real Skywalkers, rey not included, were still around they know that's all we'd probably want.

Pretty sad how much they cut down the Skywalker lineage. I guess I understand since Disney probably is gonna make their own trilogy that if the real Skywalkers, rey not included, were still around they know that's all we'd probably want.
