      Their family tree started with KHAOS , and don't say it was just a gap or nothing , she's hermaphroditic mostly a female the top Goddess 😂😂 that's judging and cutting out because of gender confusion , well she's an alien duhh , and Romans were not gods , don't blend yourselves in that's blasphemous to Royal real supernatural superiors

      Gaia is mother earth. I think it is a metaphor. In Christian religion this is known as the immaculate conception. The Earth "gave birth" to the land, sea and sky, which in turn "gave birth" to life, (aka Mortal beings) without sexual relations.

      They are basically hindu(dharmik) gods with slight changes in names. Aafter battle of 10 kings all clans were kicked out of india by sudas. One of them was anu or something which became hellena (greeks). Ancient vedic god were dyaus pitra and and indra. Hence Dyaus pitra and Indra became Zeus pita/ Zeus in greece, zupiter in roman, thor and few others in other viking, nordic ciivilization. Bharat(india) is the heart land of eurashian civilization and sanskrit is the mother of all indo european languages. One other clan was pashrva clan which became persia. There was no religion 4000 yrs ago but just dharma(hinduism). Achamenid empire was Akhamanish empire and the king was kurush(sanskrit hindu) word not cyrus.

    I think it is worth mentioning (and possibly editing) that Hermes also is, in some ways, a death god. If I remember correctly, Thanatos actually deals with your death, Hermes transports your soul to the underworld, and Hades is the "Warden" so to speak.
    It is also worth mentioning that, just like Aphrodite, in some myths about Dionysus, he has existed for long before all the other gods, and is another sort of primordial being of indeterminate birth.

    • @eternal___official
      @eternal___official ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well "Charos" is the Boatman of the underword transfering your soul to it - although, in order to reach the port of the that boatman, Hermes had to tranfer you there. Thanatos is actually the word Death in greek so, i tend to believe he was more of a concept-kind-of-god than having a real duty, since Hades was ruling the underworld. Not that sure about that though. I'm not an expert, just know a couple things out of chance cos im greek haha.

    • @scrungozeclown836
      @scrungozeclown836 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@eternal___official the way I saw it (and this depends on what canonicity you follow)
      Thanatos sort of separates your soul from your body when you die (or really, kills you, because without Thanatos you cannot die. See, Sisyphus)
      Hermes takes your soul and delivers it to the outer shore of the underworld
      Charon/Kharon ferry's your soul across the river Styx to the shore of the underworld proper (given you have the coinage)
      Cerberus/Kerberos guards the gates of hades, only allowing entry to those who belong there (and keeping those who shouldn't leave in)
      And Hades is like the warden overseeing the entirety of the underworld

    Great video! Indeed my peoples mythology never seize to amaze me ! Every version of it is complicated but very intersting. You could make a 20 min video for every god, titan, deity and still will not be enough!
    For example Pan the god and protector of sheperds is also mentioned being the son of Gaia. This is why we see him so close to nature and one of the few gods who could see and talk to Nymphs (mortals could have had many problems with them). Also it is said that Pan helped the greeks in the battle of Marathonas in which he made a terryfying growl which made the Persians to panic. It is very well believed that the word panic comes from that day, from Pan which now is a term to descibe something very big and general (his growl echoed from a big distance and made every enemy terrorised). Words with pan in it like a Pan-demic or a panorama.
    I hope you read my comment :) Have a nice day folks!

    Several mistakes I saw(probably more that I didn’t see):
    1.) Phoebe was not a moon goddess, she was a goddess of prophecy and the first one to figure out how to hear the voices of Delphi. And because her grandson Apollo also has the gift of prophecy, he is sometimes called Phoebus Apollo. Phoebe’s husband Koios also has the gift of prophecy and was the Titan of the North.
    2.) You forgot to add Zeus and Hera’s other daughter Eileithyia, the first goddess of childbirth(the other being Artemis)

    In the Greek mythology, it was divided into three generations, the Primordial, the Titans and the Olympians, wherein among the three the Olympians Gods is the most well-known throughout the world and up until this generation. Through the use of Family tree, it was identified which and where a certain God come from that helps the many be able to recognize and become aware of where these famous Greek God’s really came from. Most of the time Chaos is all unfortunate events yet on the other side it has its own blessing to be perceived. The God’s can be described as the highest among the highest creatures and is also created to be able to fill in the needs of human, it also helps balance system of the world in general. With that said, the legacy of the Greek Mythology is far from perfection yet its has its own beauty to be awe.
    I felt satisfied after watching this video because a lot of my questions regarding Greek Mythology were answered in here.

      @Rafael Sodre That was the name of her epithet. There are actually a few figures in mythology named Pallas which could have given that name to her epithet. When referring to Pallas the titan, Athena killed him after he tried to rape her. That is just one possible source for her epithet, the other come from the story of Pallas and Athena. In this case Pallas is Triton's daughter and Athena's best friend, and long story short one day they are play-fighting and Athena accidentally kills her, and she ends up so grief stricken that she builds a huge monument in honor of her friend.

    Note how different the comments section is when the topic is Greek Mythology, compared to the Bible or Quran. Matt is so well-liked that his Bible /Quran videos have largely civil comments sections, but they are still full of people making arrogant statements about their beliefs and what they insist is true or false.
    But with Greek mythology, there is joy, humor, laughter, and even a little wonder. This speaks volumes about what religious belief does to people's minds.

    About Hermaphroditus: in SOME sources he/she/whatever you wanna use, was the child of Aphrodite and Hermes. But in OTHER sources, he was a mortal. One day a nymph or mortal woman (depending on the source) saw him and fell so madly in love she prayed to Aphrodite to never be parted from him. She was moved by the woman's devotion and melded the two together into one being. Please not that Hermaphroditus never consented to this (either he outright rejects the woman OR he isn't even AWARE this woman is obsessed with him). So like... yeah his story is kinda horrifying actually.

    The video “Greek Mythology Family Tree” shows the complete origin of the gods. The Primordial gods as the first generation followed by the Titans then the famous Olympians. Through this video I gained a clearer overview of the family tree of the gods including their mortal children whose involvement in Greek mythology is as important as the immortal. The graph in the video was so complicated that sometimes I lost track to where it is bound to, but it clearly explained briefly the stories of the most occurring characters in mythology.
