Please don't stop with this, we need someone to preach about the nodes in C4D, also tel Maxon to make Xpresso be built on the new interface lol !

    It's perfect!
This is one of the few videos on how to make a custom modifier in Cinema 4D

It's amazing to see how much better the experience with Scene Nodes have gotten, way way better than back a few years ago

Love it - thanks for keeping these powerful tools so straight forward.

Well done Noseman! this is probably one of the best use cases that just clicked.

Worth mentioning, I think we are ready for more in depth nodes and I hope Maxon continues laying more of this system down as it is super promising.

Can't wait to see more of these, I'd love to see some on procedural modelling for buildings or rooms

I will literally pay someone to make this course. Ive been looking for resources on this and cant find anything. We need scene nodes to catch up to other 3d programs like blender and houdini in some of the aspects, I really hope it becomes a fully released feature soon.

    Thank you my friend!
May I say though how convoluted the selection system is in c4d in comparison with Houdini. There should be new selections in every node, would make things very clear and user friendly. Xparticles are already doing this better with mesh tools. Please pass the word to devs so we can finally start using the scene node system!

Thanks man! This was pretty pleasant tut. I had some low expectations, but after messing with the parameters, I created some complex and pretty interesting forms!
If someone is not seeing the geometry updating after u exposed the parameters, just use the move tool and the new Inset/Extrude will be updated!
    Interface bugs...

Thank you very much for this Nodeman's tutorial 😅. It would be great to dive deeper into this instrument, because there not so many information and no references in C4D Help menu. Could you please make tutorial about selections of polygons more ? (Exact polygon selection, random selection, loop etc) we wanna use Cinema 4D like a Houdini 😊

Has maxon giving up on scene nodes? Is this a priority internally? Are developers internally working on it?

I can't believe that a software that always puts intuitiveness and ease first, would create an annoying and complicated node system like this. Really annoying compared to the node system in Houdini and Blender. Developers should have consulted other node systems before starting to build.

Three years after introducing scene nodes and they still way behind compared to Blender nodes. This is the most underdeveloped feature ! Too limited because it works like low level programming language. Huge not user friendly. Please learn how nodes works in Blender.

Thanks for the comment. Although I understand your frustration, I prefer to work with what I have. Using C4D to its full potential is more important than nodes. If you're trying to make something in C4D and you can't, I can try my best to help you and everyone else. That's what I do and I love it!. Feel free to ask questions and DM me on Twixer @nosemangr with specific issues and setups.

@@noseman Don't get me wrong. Cinema 4D is the most powerful software with all important features in one box. Other software needs plugins. But when I see how easy and fast people doing in free software using nodes like fences, whole elevations, tree generators and more compared them to Cinema 4D give me headache ;)
Definitely we need more advanced scene nodes tutorials or special documentation 🙏

@@ArchViz-4D Why do you think blender geo nodes more powerfool than scene nodes? If you gudge by staff that blender users made with geo nodes i think it is a mistake. Almost everything that can be done with geo node can be done with scene nodes too. The problem is that most of c4d users don't need it.
