I am an experienced 3Dmax guy and a beginner of C4D - this is a lovvvllly tutorial, made me feel like an expert!!... Just awessom. Thank you so much for this tutorial.
Absolutely PHENOMENAL tutorial! You are hands down one of the most articulate and downright awesome teachers I have ever come across. Thank you so much for sharing these amazing tips.
Beyond words. How in the world do you know all of this. And the way you explain it adds to my understanding and motivates me to try things for myself. Thank you. To bad your Instagram has no content. Hopefully, that will change in the future ;)
Wow! I've been using C4D for about 10 years now, this is some next-level shit. The tension tag is my new best friend. It does make me start to question how much the user-friendly UI is getting in the way. For simple things, Fields feel like a game-changer. But once you start moving more complex data around a scene, the interface becomes a barrier to simple tasks, since it becomes harder to keep track of where and what data is being stored and transferred. Scene nodes, here we come!.
Excellent tutorial, thank you. I discovered a bug; this setup works in C4D 2023 but not 2024. For some reason, in 2024 the screen does not update when scrubbing the timeline. You have to keep hitting the A key to see updates. It won't render the animation either. The Same file works great in 2023.2.2 though.
Great stuff! New subscriber here. At 14:06, is there a way nowadays to edit the attributes of a tag while showing another one in viewport? Something like a pin button to keep the same tag's attributes while selecting something else. EDIT: Oh I find it myself, the lock button in the attribute editor.
I get a problem where the live viewer sees different than my octane render view. the bubbles are splitting pretty much even though they're not touching.
Great technics! Learned a lot here. I noticed it doesn't work in C4D R20 because the target Effector doesn't have the Direction Mode "Use Value". The other modes don't work. Any idea for a workaround?
Change to "Attenuate By strength", add an inverse Layer on top of the Matrix Field, make the Repel Distance very small (5cm) and you'll get a bit closer
and maybe decrease you Plain Setup Z to -30. All that if you made it similar in size... and removed the Delta Mush Here's a file that works here: www.dropbox.com/s/usva9tjuuyl35hs/Bubble%20Deformer%2003A%20R20.c4d?dl=0
