98% of my trips are solo. I have been to more than 80 countries and maybe 10 of them with someone. It is a completely different experience traveling with others. There are certain destinations I feel need a shared experience, one or two where I think it is a couple's destination. The experiences I have had solo I could never have experienced if I had someone there to distract me or negotiate with. It all depends on who you are. Note: Solo does not mean that you do not meet people while you travel. I always meet people and hang out for an hour or a day or a few days. But it is spontaneous etc.,

Can't agree more! Travel also thought me to be independent and free and easy to do whatever I want. Meet some locals and hang out with them are one of the best experience I had. Reminds me of Incredible trips in Malaysia in my travel vlog. 😍

You should travel alone because most people you "plan" to travel with will never follow through. Of course it's absolutely incredible to share travel experiences with friends and/or family, but you shouldn't use that as an excuse NOT to travel. Solo travel is great because it let's YOU live your life. Also, get used to dining alone, because it's the same concept 😂 Awesome vid. Just thought I'd share for the people who just read the title and get discouraged
traveling alone is criminally underrated. i prefer to travel alone these days and stay in hostels. no schedules, no plans, just you and wherever the wind takes you. you get to meet amazing people from all around the world and experience things you never wouldve planned by traveling with others.
I just did my first solo trip to Iceland and I think there’s so many benefits to traveling solo. You can do excursions and things on your terms, meet new people (even lifelong friends) and really immerse yourself. I think it actually makes the experience so much more authentic and memorable
I use to travel alone a lot and got a bit lonely and wished I had friends to travel with. Now that I've been traveling for years with my friends, I want to go back to traveling alone 😅
Man I travel alone on the reg, one of the best things you can do for yourself and great personal meditation if you’re in nature.

Yes! Solo travel has so many rewards, including building self confidence and self reliance. I love setting my own schedule and running with it, and pivoting when something changes without the drama of someone else's expectations. It's very freeing.
I've traveled solo to many parts of the world (Italy, Vietnam, Cambodia, Turkey, India, Norway, Russia, Nicaragua, Ecuador, Colombia, etc.) and I've always had an amazing time doing so. As you mentioned, it really gives you the opportunity to meet other people and get outside of your bubble. Not to mention you are on your own schedule which is awesome. Loved the video and the sentiment Christian. Excellent production value as always!

I started travelling solo at the beginning of cellphones and limited internet, and at times it was lonely for sure. Now I'm still surprised at how easy it is to talk to my friends and family, share photos and feel safe with satellite SOS that I clip to my backpack. Knock on wood, I've never had a bad experience, and as I get older, I consider my travels the ultimate self-care for myself. I push my comfort zones, I gain confidence through planning and navigating my daily actions and am so grateful I can be a guest in other countries with all the learning opportunities they provide. This is such a modern concept - my grandparents only flew for "special occasions" in the days when people dressed up to get on a plane. I can fly across the country for the weekend and take 24 hrs. trips to New Orleans or Las Vegas or Volcano Bay in Orlando just because I desire it. I am so grateful for the ability and the confidence and the accessibility. Now all that being said, just like anything in life, if solo travel or travel in general isn't for you, don't do it! Some people are afraid to fly. Travel can be expensive and complicated and stressful. Not every thing is for every body.

I go with friends more but there’s times I go alone and it’s the best feeling knowing you can do what you want , when you want , how you want with who you want! 😊 and I’ve always made friends! I’d recommend people should do it at least once

Can confirm, when you're solo it's waaaay more likely people will approach you. Everytime I am out by myself people always end up picking me up in a way and hanging out or chatting. It's a great way to meet new people!

I've never travelled alone, before marriage it was with friends but always in a small group of 2-3. Now I have a wife and daughter so it's just a natural transition from going travelling with friends to travelling with a family.

I just came home from solo traveling Southeast Asia for two months and it has been one of the most transformative experiences of my life.
Met amazing people and also looked forward to the time I had for myself a LOT. The thing is, I‘m super happy with myself at the moment so I always enjoyed my own company but if you don‘t like being alone (and are rather introverted) you should consider taking a friend.
Btw: I document my whole journey on my channel, it was a blast 🤙🏻

Alone you can meet people and travel with them if you want but can leave and do what you want to do blend in with locals more easily too

Solo travel is as fun as you want it to be, ditto hectic versus glacial speeds. No one to blame for a bad time but yourself. No compromises. Back in 2018 I started solo. Travelled with people I met along the way, one one stage through Italy and Greece we were a group of 8 for 2 months, then some went our separate ways splitting into 2 groups of four. One group went to the Scandinavian countries with the other to Africa. Then I went solo again. Three of the group are currently in Australia visiting me and we're going to circumnavigate the island.

i would say 90% of my trips are solo, and I love it. When solo you tend to interact with locals a whole lot more. It's more of a cultural experience.

It’s hard sometimes because I’ve always traveled by myself but I have made so many good friends while traveling in places like dubai and Bali so when I head back I’m pretty much never alone. Every time I head to somewhere new, I just gotta do it all over again 😄🗺️

I just had a "honeymoon" worthy trip in Bali by myself and it was great. A lot of time to relax, reflect and appreciate the amazing life I live.
