    make it thicker:
    add powdered sugar
    add cream cheese
    make it thinner:
    heavy whipping cream
    half and half
    milk
    make it fluffier:
    whipped topping

Cornstarch also works for thickening! Or you can just buy bakery frosting from the groceries bakery, most sale by the ounce. And it’s cheaper than Betty Crocker and tastes better

Thank you so much for this video! I am struggling to get my buttercream the right consistency to pipe roses on flower nails. Either it is too soft and the petals fall over before I can even finish the rose, or it is too thick and the edges of the petals are ragged. It occurred to me to wonder if canned frosting might work, so I searched on google and found a link to this video. Should the 1/4 cup of powdered sugar make the frosting thick enough for rose petals to stand up or do I need a little more?

I'd do a little more I used 1/4 for cupcakes and it was barely thick enough for that. The only thing is I felt like the powdered sugar game the icing a strange taste

try whipping the canned icing first, then add 1/4c of pow sugar and 1tbl spoon , it should hold. icing in cans is always sitting and whipping it restores the fluff.

If you can find ICING SUGAR, you'll get better results.
    Its powdered sugar WITHOUT cornstarch.
U.S. powdered sugar has cornstarch added.
    Easily found in Europe/UK.

Yes, but icing/frostin gis made from powdered sugar already so if it needs to be thicker add additional sugar. You can sift if or run it through a sieve first to eliminate lumps to make a better consistency.

Background music is too loud and is annoying, drowns out the narrator. Otherwise, good.

Reduce background crap music by 75% - 100%. Too challenging to hear you over it and not worth enduring it. Website was easy to read though
