Woodworking Art Project | The Largest Ebony Axe Handle For Kelly's Firefighter Axe

This project is one of our biggest projects. Ebony ax handle, total length 46 inches. We've restored Kelly's vintage firefighter axe head and made a new handmade hexagon handle from Ebony with our own design. We intentionally gave this axe a fierce and formidable look with a black tone. We have resurrected the rusty old axe head into a fearsome beast once again. We make it a work of art for collection and display. A large, ferocious and terrifying monster.
We work with a tool that we have and make it in a simple way. We would like to be an inspiration to you. Hope you enjoy our video and hope to get some ideas or inspiration. We are very glad to see you guys.

I’ve worked as a firefighter for over 14 years and I love the treatment that you gave this old firefighter axe! My personal axe I carry on the job is an old Mann Edge & Tool Co Indian Chief firefighters axe. The new ones just aren’t made like they used to be for sure. Anyways, keep up the great work sir!

This is too beautiful. Good job friend. This is too good. Even the handle grain orientation is taken into consideration. Everything is done accordingly. 10/10 video and method
May I add some point for other viewers, when you try to set the wedge, if you have a long bar clamp...use it. It decreases the chance of the wedge breaking. No wrong in hammering it directly either but one miss strike could ruin your project.

Yes, that is epoxy glue. We use epoxy glue which is more flexible and not as hard as epoxy resin.🙏🙏👍👍😊😊
