That is absolutely gorgeous. As a chef for 19 years I really appreciate seeing tools made that I would use on a daily basis. I would love to have that knife.
@kevinarnold4795 I was responding to the OP, he said he would like it for daily use. That's a bad idea for a professional chef. He might as well buy a white handle Dexter Russell sani-safe, well this will hold an edge better than that... lol
@@Facetiously.Esoteric Dexter might be good for a line cook....but that edge will never be as sharp and much harder to clean up when it dulls. So no....crap cheap knives are not good...beyond lasting a long time. Which is fine if that is all you want. But you can get that from any cheap blade. And with Dexter, you really need to reset the bevel to be worth a crap to begin with.
@@Facetiously.Esoteric Dexter Russel, Mercer, et al. are great for beginner cooks. I highly recommend them for people with little to no skill, who are just starting out but some of us are way beyond that, we produce food that is elevated and want to work with tools that reflect that. This knife is a robust slicer and it is a work of art. I, like @andresapodaca8853, would love to have one. You clearly just don't have the knowledge and/or skill and/or experience to be speaking to this issue, so go somewhere else to criticize someone who is complimenting the maker, maybe 4chan or something?
Never have I ever seen a knife with this much character. The rough on the blade is perfect. The work on the handle is impeccable. It would be very fair to call this a master piece and a power object. Really amazing.
What really impresses me is the precision with which you can sand such a large sloping surface freehand and without any angle help. Amazing work and beautiful knife.
What kind of job? cut a knife out of a spring? completely without forging, without arranging different steels? O-Lord, he even hardened the entire knife, although the spine should be left softer and the heat increased for the blade. If someone cannot cut a knife from a sheet of steel, then I don’t know what’s easier.

The bevels you put on that handle is the kind of thing that needs to be taught in design school. They compliment the angles of the blade in a way that finishes the piece perfectly. Quite literally perfect; anything added would be unnecessary, anything removed would detract.
That is incredible skill! I love the precision used to keep everything symmetrical. That knife is badass, one of the most amazing and shocking designs and without Damascus. The cherry on top was the bread and brisket at the end. Wanted some so much!!
Judging by the bright spark, there is enough carbon in the steel. An excellent knife with an excellent design, made of inexpensive, but very aggressively cutting steel, including due to the lack of chrome. As in classic Japanese steels of the Shirogami type
I believe I've commented on this already, but it's worth doing so again.. this is the most gorgeous knife I've ever seen, shape, handle, blackness, and detailing, i love it !!
I watched a lot of knife making videos and let me tell you , there is many gorgeous knifes out there. However , this one made me think about having it in my kitchen ! The finishing with the colour of the handle , whole design is just on another level .Truly amazing job well done .
I love the look of lately seeing thick geometric handled Kiritsuke and bunkas. I really want one. But the ones I keep seeing are in the thousands. Beautiful work!!!👍
Not only a kitchen chef knife. Spring steel... Combine that with a proper sheath. I wouldn't hesitate taking that into that into the wilderness as well. That is an all-around tool.
Dude, your style is so fresh, original, and minimalist. Yet, your blades are some of the most beautiful and elegant blades I have ever seen! Amazing work!
Thanks for the interest. I’m not selling anything as of yet, still just doing these for fun. I may sell a few at some point. If so, I’ll share those on my Instagram page (still in the works).

As a chef, as a technician, as man, i have tell you, that you make me to think about switching knives… awesome skills and really nice video itself. Congrats
Take a lot at Kyle Royer's knives and swords!! Master knife maker who is doing museum quality knives to include some of most functional and beautiful chef knives I've ever seen!! Functional, pattern welded blades with perfect grinds and some times include gems, gold and exotic woods for the handles. Hit fitment and bolsters literally melt into the handle and have absolutely no visible gaps in the connection of the handle, bolster and mechanical pins used to secure the wood handle to the tang of the knife!!! He is an absolute master of fine cutlery!!!
