The fact that no pass looks the same is crazy. His game so fluid, not reliant on spamming the same set with the same guys. It could be anyone's night playing with hali. Great breakdown as usual boss 👍🏾
@@bigbangbasketball With his playstyle his ceiling is even higher than prime Cp. His deep range shooting plus ability to get downhill at will cuz his speed and length are elements tougher to game plan for than Cp. @@the77th Hali and Ball have two different playstyles. For instance, Hali can work in the mid range and pull up from 3 like it's nothing but Lonzo can't. Tyrese is a real basketball genius. He is a combinations of all Pacers great guards. He has Reggie's three point shooting and leadership. Mark Jackson or Jamaal Tinsley's playmaking.
Exactly! He is the combination of Mark Jackson and Reggie Miller which are my two previous favorite Pacer players. When it is all said and done, Haliburton will probably be my favorite Pacer ever!
It's crazy when you look at the Pacers' stats after a game & they have 9 - 10 players in double figures & EVERYONE on the team had a positive +/-. Indiana will have games with assist totals double that of other teams. He could turn any team into a well-oiled machine. So much fun to watch.
To calculate the points per assists rate, we can use the following formula: Points per assist = Total points / Number of assists In this case, with 23 assists and 140 points, we can calculate the points per assists rate: Points per assist = 140 points / 23 assists Points per assist ≈ 6.09 This means that, on average, each assist contributed to approximately 6.09 points per possession He’s responsible for at least 70 points off of just assists alone and to add to that he had 20 points meaning he alone accounted for 90+ points. Truly amazing basketball and great analysis video.
One of the things I love about basketball is how different each players interpretation is of their role/position. I think the best players are really confident in their own game. This guy isn’t trying to be Ja or Luka. Is he ‘better’ than them? Always very debatable when play styles are so different. I made the mistake of claiming Tyrese might be the best ‘pure point guard’ at the moment in a comment a while back. I got some pushback on that and perhaps rightly so because it just rigidly enforced what I thought a point guard should be. I was John Stockton pass-focussed role I guess. Anyway, great video as always. Thank you.
The modern NBA guard is so different but in a way I'm with you. Hali has that traditional pg feel because he's actually looking to pass first but just is in the era where the scoring skill is definitely higher so he does both. But he got the Stockton, Nash, Rondo mind too.
I feel like the way Halliburton and his team is playing and functioning is what lamelo was supposed to do with the hornets. And it can still turn out that way but miles fucked the chemistry up and lamelo been dealing with injuries
@@dsr3178 Yh true but miles was his guy. He brought the energy as far as catching lobs and being able to attack the rim and idk how his 3pt% was but he had a couple 30 point games along side melo they were a cool duo
Tough to say until we get a playoff sample. I think all 3 of those guys are better scorers (Shai just in an entirely different tier from that group really), but none can shoot or pass like Haliburton, so it's really interesting. Toughest thing though, is that he's clearly the worst defensively of the 4.
Ngl, I thought Tyrese Hailburton wouldn’t be better than a border line allstar. I realize I was wrong, he’s the best type of star to have one who holds himself accountable no matter his own status he’s humble.
