A lot of people hyping up Maxey to be the next great PG and I always say "he ain't even the best Tyrese in the league"😭
Both are having amazing seasons!
Is Maxey a PG now?
@@dariusdina8561 Not according to ESPN fantasy. He’s a SG that splits minutes at PG.
@@Watermelon_Man just wondering, I always thought he was a SG that has the ball a lot kind of like D Wade did
@@dariusdina8561 Kinda pointless do distinguish PG and SG in cases like Hali, Fox, Steph, in todays basketball, imo.
They're combo guards. If it's a true SG like Klay or Buddy Hield i'll call those SG's, i'll also call TJ McConnel a PG. But a guy who does PG and SG things with an SG close size? Just call it a Guard or a Combo Guard
Halliburton and Jokic vision is so crazy they throw all kinds of crazy passes where it’s impossible for the defender can’t even make a play on the ball.
Facts
Facts, and passing is so underrated, when you actually look at the best offensive teams ever you will find primary playmakers such as Magic, Nash, or Haliburton as the cornerstone for almost all of them.
@@zsomborszigeti6797 Haliburton is Magic's "son". Literally Magic 2.0.
What’s crazy is, the rest of the team isn’t playing out of their minds (besides Haliburton). it’s not like the whole team is on a crazy hot streak. Turner will step up one night, Nesmith the next, Obi Toppin the next etc. Even Hield has been pretty cold lately and he’s a huge part of the offense. Like this is just how these guys normally play, nobody is playing way above their level. Which makes me think this offense is sustainable.
Turner has stepped up nearly every night. He’s the only consistently dependable player outside of Tyrese
Goes to show the effectiveness of Pacers' tactics, kudos to coach!
Turner has been great this year wym?
Imagine they traded for Mikal Bridges.
If he continues these averages and the Pacers finish top 4, he deserves some MVP votes
MVP*
He absolutely does
@@goldencardstudios3697jokic
He IS the MVP right now. If he carries this team of no-names to the playoffs he HAS to be season MVP.
That clip of Batum panicking is one of the many reasons this channel is so good. I haven't seen that mentioned any where else online.
Glad you liked it!
It was a painful game to watch as a Sixers fan but as a basketball fan i couldn't help but smile. Perhaps we have a new budding guard rivalry in the east with Maxey and Haliburton. Battle of the Tyreses🤣🤔?
It's not a battle, Tyrese is better than Tyrese
@@kennn30 😂😂😂
As a Pacers fan I'm just happy to get a win against them...76ers are a damn good team and Joel is scary good.
Nah they’re friends. Plus there’s really no such thing as rivalries anymore unless you talk shit about someone or play them in the playoffs a bunch.
@king_supreme1102 just gonna leave the reminder of the Olympic Tean singing on the plane
One of my FAVORITE players right now. He’s unreal.
Facts!
Haliburton is like the PG version of Jokic vision-wise. Pacers are 1st in assists and offensive rating. Their offense is so good that it compensates their below average defense. Also, Tyrese is a very likeable guy. Go watch his podcast with JJ, which was published yesterday. He is fun to listen too. From the way he speaks, you can tell he is a smart guy.
Facts!
u mean Jokic is the center version of Hali lol. hes meant to be like this hes jus extremely elite at it
You forgot about Luka. I feel like he’s the PG version
Nah Luka is the Point Guard version of Jokic
@@carlosacosta1290 Tyrese is more “team first” guy than Luka. overall Luka is definitely a better plays though.
Glad Indy paid this man bruh 💯
His game so nice. Like he’s always firing on all cylinders
Facts!
Yes. That's it.
They had no option
Now that's a great breakdown. Subscribed.
Glad you enjoyed, thanks!
Pacers fan here. It's been pretty much impossible to look away from the screen on any games coz I know I'll miss something
Facts, my favorite team to watch right now!
People often say that Jokic is an elite offense in one player…. Well, Tyrese is proving that’s true for him as well
This channle might be the best player breakdown rn and it’s been like that, keep it hope hope venu ❤️
Thank you so much!
On the defensive end, he has the rare ability to anticipate low passes because of that laser court sight, which is why he can get steals most players don't. He was leading the league in assists last year before he got injured, that's just how he naturally plays. He was having fun on the court. HIs extreme passion for the game and personality makes the game fun for him, his teammates, the coaching staff, and the fans.
Tyrese Haliburton NEW PURE PG this generation 💪🔥💪
Tyrese’s court vision & hook lay up is crazy!
As a lifelong Pacers fan I Absolutely LOVE Haliburton and this team. I am 30 years old and have closely followed the Pacers every year since I was a little kid (the good and the bad). And I have never been so hopeful for the future of our franchise. We just locked him up long-term and have added some great young talent around him. And even though we're a "small market" team, Tyrese is such an incredible player AND teammate I feel like big time guys might actually want to come to Indy for once if only to play with him. Let's get that first CHIP Pacers nation!!!!
contents like these are the real genius. just narrating what the guys doing on court
You did an incredible job editing and breaking down Halliburton gameplay. I believe he’s already a top 5 player in the league right now.
Passing is underrated. If you have 10 assists at minimum you're giving 20 points to your team. Hali could go off for 40 easily if he wanted.
Incredible breakdown! Imagine, he's playing like this at only 23 yrs of age. He' hasn't played with Toppin and Brown for very long, so his timing on plays involving them will only get better as the season continues (which should only increase his assist numbers). He's the only player in NBA history to have 32 total assists with 0 turnovers in a 2-game span, and he's also the only player in NBA history to have multiple games with 25+ points, 15+ assists, and 0 turnovers. His positivity level is so high on and off the court, that he makes everyone around him better because he truly wants them to succeed. He has a great sense of humor to go along with all of that - imagine being his teammate. He also gives a lot back to the community, has since he joined the Pacers. Ty has been an absolute blessing to the Pacers organization, his teammates, the community, and us as Pacers fans.
Haliburton knows this offense like the back of his hand.
Crazy how good and how YOUNG Maxey and Haliburton are. They might both become all-nba team regulars starting this season
He also has terrific length for his position. Helps him on both ends.
You're killin it bro
Thank you!
This is excellent work man. Thank you.
Credit where credit is due
Hali is such an amazing PG
But damn, Rick Carlisle is a damn good offensive coach too, these plays are just sooo perfect for Hali
Amazing breakdown as always !!!!
Says he learned from 2k. And that’s exactly how I play the game pressure and pace and seeing open angles before the defense adjusts. Proud Pacer fan and love his game
MVP
Love that possession at 5:13
Perfect summary of his versatility, his court-mapping, his little mind game tricks, his ability to get in the paint…
Been high on Tyrese for a long time, I genuinely think he’s already one of the 5 best pgs in the entire league and the best in the eastern conference. I’m hoping he can continue this trajectory and be one of the greatest pgs of all time
Best close to pure point guard in the league to me
Man your videos are 🔥
Great Vid!
Finally!! Some talking about TEAM dynamics. This season has been murder listening to nearly all of my favorite content creatures.
Zero turnovers throwing some crazy passes too, not just safe reads
Exactly, it's remarkable!
Great analysis and video. Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
Glad more people and the media are covering and giving Halliburton his credit , been a big fan of his since last year because I like how he seems to be taking the mantle from cp3 as this generations more so traditional style point guard in an era where pgs are more so score first now . In the next few years could definitely see him being a consensus top 3 point guard for the next decade long as he wins a good bit
The hilarious thing about him is that his "No-Look Passes" are pretty much him passing first and THEN looking away
Not only is he an awesome playmaker and scorer, but he always has such a fun personality, constantly hyping himself and others up on the court. And he's awesome when he's been on JJ Redick and PG's podcast. Love that he's OUR guy here in Indiana!
I really have been waiting on this one though😂
He’s a high-quality-offense-generating machine.
All players have pros and cons. Weaknesses and strengths….
But for Hali (if you only judge based on what PGs are expected to do. Obviously something like offensive rebounding isn’t relevant)
He doesn’t lose any value from his weaknesses, cause he pretty much doesn’t have any offensive PG weaknesses.
And the skills he is the very best at, are incredibly valuable. And he can produce that incredible value over and over and over and over.
He’s an absolute monster!
best guard in the east
Certainly raising an incredible argument.
By far the most consistent. Maxey has been coming down to earth recently, Dame has been up and down all season so far, and everyone else is just not as effective
The breakdown was elite, you got your self a subscriber.
The camera moves after points against Pacers are hilarious lol
I really like how you break down the plays.
Pacer's been playing amazing on offense, but they kinda have to since they give up the most points in the East, and second most in the league, behind the Spurs. (Pacers OPP PPG is 123.4, Spurs have 124.1)
Which is insane because they have Bruce Brown and Miles Turner who are both really good defenders and Tyrese is pretty solid himself.
@@Watermelon_Man exactly what I was thinking. brown isn't a slouch on defense. very surprising stat to see. Hope they figure it out, because a lethal offense, paired with a functioning defense would cause some problems for other teams.
Longtime Pacer fan here. Defense isn’t great, obviously. Myles is still one of the best rim defenders, and Brown’s defense has been incredibly valuable.
BUT: a reason not often discussed as to why we give up so many points is that because we play so quickly the other team will get more offensive possessions than they would against a slower team. More offensive possessions, more opportunities to score.
When offense and speed is your calling card, you're not slogging down the court and defense will suffer. Problem for the REST of the league is that the Pacers are really, really good at it.
How many people remember all the "experts" saying pacers may be a play in team at the beginning of the year?
I'm just really hearing about this guy...but he's obviously super special. It's nice to see a great player come from relatively humble beginnings.
His game is a joy to watch!
Bro, everyone doubting the Pacers and glancing over them. We a legit team this year and a borderline conference finals team. We letting the league know!
Second round with favourable match ups maybe, defence needs to improve
@@christopherhamill525 I don't completely disagree as the Pacers defense needs some improvement, but we have already beaten the bucks this year and the 76ers. That's why I said we are a borderline conference finals team. We are definitely a second round team. I'm just saying that we have a good chance to make the conference finals if we keep playing the way we have started this season
OG anunoby would look good in pacers uniform, tell your GM to send Nembbhard, Jarace walker and a 1st round pick
@@chadwellington2524I’d do Nembhard, 2 firsts, and Hield to make the salary work. Walker could learn from OG and let’s not forget he’s on an expiring deal either. If we can’t get him at the deadline, I’m sure he wouldn’t mind coming over in free agency.
@@tyrone975 Ya thats true hes on expiring deal, i dont think you need to worry about salary dont the pacers have cap space. I guess the only reason pacers would do that is if they feel they can compete for a championship this year
He is feasting off of fast athletic wings and shooters plus his own individual talent ⭐️
dope vid.
While many PGs will wait to run their set, Haliburton is already looking for the advantage before the defense can react. Truly innovative offense.
well said. sounds like jokic.
Outstanding analysis.
Amazing video..
Thank you!
Haliburton squirtin buckets 😤 doods str8 poooopin 🤷🏿♂️🕺🏿
U been on a tear lately with the content this season🔥what happened to ur twitter account?
Appreciate you! My account got permanently sus'd without reason, and I haven't been able to recover it. Really don't plan on making another one, so just waiting to see if I can get it back.
@@HoopVenue that’s dumb
"Haliburton and the High Pace Pacers"
Haliburton's passing feels like the opposite end of the spectrum of Jokic's passing. While Jokic usually breaks down the entire defense before passing it, Haliburton thrives on finding cracks while everyone on the floor is scrambling. It's quick and it's unpredictable as opposed to Jokic's slow two-steps ahead passes. Freakin cool see how these different type of playmaking leads to the same result, easy-ass buckets all day
Hali is this years MVP if he keeps uo this incredible performance
The pacers and Thunder are my fav teams rn they are so good and young.
the glaze is insane
What a player!👏
The Pacers are really living up to their name
Poor Batum, Tyrese made him look a fool this back to back. Good on Tyrese though.
Underated
My coach told me to watch Tyrese Haliburtion
Good coach
3:25 had me laughing
The Kings and Pacers had the awesome trade that opened up the chance for two awesome guards to show their tricks.
How many playmakers u taking over Hali in 2024? He’s averaging 12 assists btw
That's an impossible question to answer tbh, because there are so many different ways to make plays/create opportunities, and Hali's style is unique in a way that others don't replicate.
I'm still taking Jokic/Luka as my top 2, but after that he's certainly at the top of the discussion.
@@HoopVenueagreed theres so many different types of playmakers that aside from luka and jokic its really up to preference
Only Jokic And Luka Better
The always running style, even after a make, is very reminiscent of the 80s Lakers
he's my fav pg rn
Hali be speed posting like an Arbiter, those who know know
basketball is so beautiful bro
The pacers do be pacing
This is literally myCareer
Been waiting on this video dude a point God
Hes actually insane he became a star in front of our eyes after leaving Sacremento
lethal
Pacers are the best show in basketball right now, because of him.
Time and again no matter the sport of the league scouts overlook players because of their 'unorthodox' style or appearance only to discover they were sorely mistaken..
When will they ever learn that it's not about 'appearance' but actually how you play and results on the floor?
Milwaukee might be in trouble they meet 1st round game 1 tomorrow
Tyrese doesn't just make your team look foolish. He makes your teams camera operators look like fools too. 😂 Not a problem at home games. Indiana's camera operators had to relearn their craft to property follow this guy he's so quick.
Can you make a breakdown on Julius Randle and how he has bounced back after a rough start to his season?
Lol he's gonna reset back to his old form as soon as we get to December
@@light3181 lol
I knew he was doing something great, I didn’t know he was averaging that many assists w/o turnovers & as a pg myself! gone see how implementing these characteristics to my arsenal today! I’m already a bucket, but I love having my whole team hot so we can obliterate the opponents! Games WAY more fun (well for us) 🤣
could it be anything to do with rick carlisle coach team???
Absolutely
New tall version of Steve Nash. Hopefully he will get successful run in playoffs.
If you look at Curry’s first MVP season and compare it to Haliburton’s current season you can see that Hali is shooting a better 3PT% while attempting more 3PA/game than Curry in his first MVP season. And the level of shot difficulty is somewhat similar, with Hali attempting the second most pull-up 3PA this season at 7.1/game and just behind Luka who’s at 7.11/game. Not only that he’s attempting more pull-up 3PA than Curry this season who’s at 5.6/game and shoots at 33.7% vs Hali’s 42.5% on pull-up threes. In fact, in the top 10 for most pull-up 3PA, he has the highest efficiency, Luka at #1 shoots at 40.5% I’m not saying Hali is a better shooter than Curry now, but it’s time he gets added into the conversation of best shooters in the league, and if he keeps this pace up for the rest of his career he’s going to be added into the greatest shooters of all time conversations. Didn’t even mention how he’s most definitely the second best passer in the league behind Jokic, and is the best passer amongst guards.
Do you have another Twitter account? I saw your main got suspended
I do not
Tyrese Halliburton is absolutely HOOPIN’ this season.
Nice
Hali is underrated. One of y f sprite players in the league
Tyrese might become a better version of CP3 he is more explosive offensively but of course he has to continue to grow in defense too.
There is not many guards better than him right now I would put him at the same category as Mitchell and Ant because I don’t think you can rely on those two to make every single play on offensive ends but Tyrese can those two is more of a scorer probably better than Tyrese to create his own shot but they are no where close to him in terms of building your offense around one guy.
He is the guard version of Jokic both teams run through them and putting on crazy stats with insane efficiency and in terms of turnovers Tyrese is even better.
Of course when it comes to playoffs against elite defense Jokic is different beast but Tyrese can make a case to make All-NBA this year which is absolutely incredible.
He's working on defense, it has been a team focus this season. Granted, those changes don't happen overnight...but his court sight/anticipation gives him great potential for that part of his game too. Your analysis is spot on, much respect to you!
One thing Indiana is good at, is getting talent whether it’s through the draft or trade frfr. I’m from Indy
his scouting report probably just says “try your best”.
Love tyrese
He is Reggie Miller in today's game !
Babe, get someone else to get the kid. HoopVenue dropped
When you gonna stream again
Not sure, been real busy with the videos
Been saying this when it comes to x and o rick Carlisle is one of the best in the league. Had some historic level offenses in Dallas with mediocre talent
Wouldn't say mediocre, but star role players
