I grew up in San Antonio during the Duncan dynasty. There’s so many iconic moments for me in NBA history. I remember hating what Curry was doing at the time as they were one of our biggest rivals before the Kawhi saga. Still, when Steph Curry retires, I will shed a tear. The impact that he made on this sport is insane for just one man. I was happy for him to win his Finals MVP and even happier to see his clutch performances win the US the gold medal this year. Well done! I remember watching that game at a bar in Oakland, and the feeling we all had when he picked up his dribble. It was one collective silent "No way!"
I also remember the reports right after the game drastically underestimated the distance. I saw plenty in the 20s... people just couldn't process that it was so deep. Fortunately, I had been recently looking at court dimensions so I knew exactly what he was choosing to do.
The thing no one ever mentions is that if you watch the Warriors from the camera behind the other bucket is that the rest of the team isn't really trying to get back or open. Klay is the only one downcourt, and he's way over on the right wing. It's like they knew Steph was just going to take it from somewhere and they were watching too.

As an Indian, nba matches happen at night time for us but i just saw curry play once or twice and i became someone who loved watching basketball and nba. I spent over 75% life watching cricket but i wish it was nba and i could experience this 2016 era when it happened

I remember watching this game! Like nothing I'd ever seen before! Steph was so good they had to recall the video games and readjust them because even on the best settings their version of Steph Curry couldn't make the shots he was consistently hitting IRL!

Frankly, I don't watch a lot of NBA regular season games -- mainly just highlights. Yet I watched this game, LIVE. I'm so happy I did, because that moment changed the way I viewed basketball. I sensed something had changed; I just didn't realize how much.

Curry is one of those players, that every team wants and needs. He's a heartbreaker to the rest of the league.
He can make any system look good and make coaches stress less. And you're a damn liar if you don't agree.

Elite shooting is a skill any team will GLADLY take!
JJ Reddick extended his career an additional 6 years just filling the role as a spot up shooter.
It's an invaluable skill set in the NBA.

I don' think people realize how hard it is to make the shots Curry routinely makes look so easy. 99% of the general public would be lucky to make 1 out of 10 shots yet Curry makes them while being guarded by the best players in the world, falling down, stepping back, floating sideways. It's unbelievable to watch.

With the Warriors hot start in 2015-2016, the Magic was supposed to be the one to beat them per odds, but Steph knocked down that transition 3 as well on the right side.
I don't think I missed a single Warriors game that year.
