I love the MPC4000 real-time quantize/timing feature. I have a new MPC Live and really miss that one, and many of the other MPC4000 features. I like to listen to tracks and play around with the shift timing of certain tracks, let's say just the hi-hats or snares and leave the other tracks alone... and see what kind of J-Dilla like crazy timing effects I can get. Very cool to play around with and experiment! I hadn't played w/ the Q-Link sequence feature you listed and I've had this thing for 18 or so years now... thanks for the tip I'll check it out!

3000 best MPC ever made for old school , 60II best for smooth warmth , and 4k probably still the best new school MPC. Imo 60II + 3k + 4k each the greatest take your pick.
Agree with everything except 3000 best for old school. You can make the 4K sound like the 3k. If you’re talking ease of use, the 3k is easier (but only because it had less features) no argument

my 4k has 2 pads that dont work, the qlinks have a mind of thier own (faders,n links r super sensetive as soon as u touch one it just strts gliding up or dwn unpredictable) THE HD KEEPS GOING MISSING (hav nw resulted in banging the machine a few times n it seems 2 come bk, so thats definately not good) & my screen has black lines running sideways all dwn the screen, so its very hard 2 read anything, also the dvd drive only picks up one channel when playing a CD ,hav u heard of this problem b4??
Yes, you can add swing to each track individually if you'd like... or all tracks in a sequence. Or, each with a different quantize/swing value (or none).
@@djbonne1 In his example, I think he had one track selected, so it was only applying swing to one track (maybe it was the hihat?)... but you can, at the bottom of the quantize pop-up dialog, pick 'all tracks' and it will apply the timing to all tracks. When you are ready, you can also apply the timing changes and apply the note timings more permanently.
i was gonna buy seperate parts but somebody was selling a motherboard on ebay and they named all them simptoms..i didnt want to buy it incase they were just namig any & all symptoms so that you would buy it... please give me some advice as the 4000 has been my life jacket for the past decade.nw im depressed n dont go out digging no more.I need it to boil dwn to 1 problem like the motherboard.otherwise im fuckd. ANY HELP?? WOULD BE PARAMOUNT.THANK U
LOL WUT? Those features are available on 5000, been about 2yrs since i used a 2500 but pretty sure i saw features like swing preview on that too. And some of those features are available on older akai OS, even my s3000 has porto :D

yes, click window when the pornamento on is highlighted, then you can set the rate
