After a horrible few days here in Christchurch NZ, with the news constantly showing pictures of grieving families or people laying flowers as a tribute, your latest vlog has proved to be a very welcome release, a sense of normality in troubled times. Love that the cats seem eager to explore their new bit of canal bank (11:56). Seeing cats on a boat reminds me of my own childhood when we lived on a catamaran in Folkestone Harbour with our cat living on board . She knew the rhythm of the tides for jumping overboard onto the drying sandbank to do her business. I think we must have had the only catamaran with a cat-flap in the cockpit door. ! For a number of years in the 70's we'd live on our yacht in Folkestone Harbour from just after Easter through to the end of October, renting the house out for one or two week holiday lets, apart from one summer when we were between boats so lived under canvas at a camp site on the Warren at Folkestone. It was while there that I made friends with a boy from London who had found an abandoned kitten and started feeding it. When his family left at the end of their fortnight stay his parents refused to let him take the kitten & he was heartbroken. I continued feeding the kitten and she adopted us, coming home at the end of the season. Because my brother was so young, she was simply called Puss. On weekends we'd sail across to France, Puss would go and stay with my Grandparents. Because she knew we always returned to the car, she was happy so long as she knew where the car was. In winter (when we returned to our family home) if we were all going out as a family in the car, eg to church on Sunday, she would travel with us in the car. It was quite common returning to the car to see people staring through the window at Puss curled up fast asleep on the back parcel shelf. Thank you again for your welcome release & memory trigger! (& hope the burger lived up to expectation.)
Hi ladies. USA in Nevada here. I'm envious sort of cuz I'm in desert area of Nevada here. Your land is so green. Even in winter. Your vids are great. I try others but your is just the best. Cruising the Cut is good too. But yours is delightful. Thanks so much for sharing.
Thats the exact mooring where my wife and I moored at Trevor last June! Very peaceful and had some lovely conversations with the people walking past on the footpath the behind the basin! The remnants of, what looks like, an old tunnel at the back of the basin intrigued us. We never did find out what they were used for! Thanks for another great video ladies!
As some one who will probably never get to England, I want to thank you for your views of the Llangollan canal. I have been wanting to see it ever since CC said the name. It is a spectacular location
Thank you for taking us on this marvellous trip whilst some of us sit in our static living rooms watching you all enjoy the wonderful country side. Hope you had a fab burger in the pub sounds scrumptious 🍔 lol....
The Mallard drake acting as your pilot was a hoot. A perfect day for a narrowboat cruise along a very narrow canal ... may your burgers be juicy and flavoursome! :)
Lovely vlog, our neck of the woods, walked that stretch hundreds of times but yet to go in our boat ..when the railway was running it was classed as one of the seven wonders of Wales, with the canal, road, railway and river all running along side each other
Cats SO happy to have a fun play ground for a while :) What a lovely trip you are having ... and Anna, your art work is simply delightful!! Love and Hugs from sunny, hot, no we don´t wear jackets here.... Mexico!! xo
If your engine is making a ticking sound then remove the rocker box cover and check the tappets for the correct clearance with a feeler gauge. Changing belts is never a bad idea but if there is so muck slack as to slap the alternator then the belt would likely have fallen off. Check belt tension regularly and nip up any slack or replace if stretched split or perished in any way.
Thought you'd decided to set roots in Llangollen, I can't blame you, such a lovely part of the world - glad to see to see you vlogging again and looking forward to your new adventures
This is my favorite part of the Llangollen Canal, as we stay in a cottage about 60 ft from the canal. for your info, if you moor at Trevor Basin again and you are short of anything, if you walk out of the car park to the pub, cross over the road and walk up the hill through the housing estate you will find a convenience store, which stocks most items you would want and I think is open until late.
Lovely to see you both, you were missed 🙂 ...been watching all the videos from the start again 😃 Really enjoyed todays trip...hope you got your burger Anna-Marie 😁
Thanks for another super vlog. Have great memories of the Llangollen as have walked the towpaths many times. Lovely to see Alice and Munchie enjoying themselves too.
A great "tucked away, secret mooring" .. years ago, where you moored was blessed with a terrific stench from a Monsanto chemical works a few hundred metres to the north. Maybe that arm had something to do with that factory. Lovely fresh air photo spot now though. Happy 'cruising with the current'.
@@TheNarrowboatExperience Just researched (briefly) and the portal at the north east corner of the basin was the Plas Kynaston branch predating the chemical facility by years and years. Plas Kynaston Canal Group web site is worth a visit.
I have to rely on you girls to have that spot of tea at the view for me. Missed you this week love your music choices love you girls from the swamp in Loxahatchee Florida
Hello there all, brilliant beautiful n interesting video really enjoyed, good camera work also, Thank you for sharing your video cheers take care see you soon
I am jealous I live in the states and we don’t have canals like you do. I keep look up things on the internet about the canals and how they work. Keep the videos coming I keep learning more about the canals.
Great video. You’ve really shown the beauty of this canal. Good to see your art business is going well. I loved your porthole painting. Thanks as always for sharing your adventure.
Lovely. I think I would have stayed there forever. What a beautiful countryside. :) I don't think that a visit to the UK is in the cards for me, but I have seen so much through your videos. Thank you both, and of course, Alice and Munchie.
"They're Back"....I have missed the four of you....beautiful location....I think the canals are the best part of your lovely country. I so enjoy the ride along and Alice was so sweet to ask if I missed her... and that she looks forward to hearing from me too! Such a black beauty....Munchie sure let's Alice do all the talking.... Hope your burger was better than the one I got at Cookout earlier...Happy trails....I am working on the van today....clear and warm weather is forecasted for 4 days straight...a miracle!

Don't know how I missed this video. It is lovely. The wooden doors on the shop at the start of the video are beautiful.
The Tea Room at Llangollen does the most tremendous Ploughman's lunch ever. Great Vlog Ladies I really enjoyed it our favourite stretch of canal.

This is by far a very beautiful part of the country side. Enjoy the pub !
Hi Alice 😻. Happy to see the update. Hope you enjoyed your burger.
Yes, we did. And Alice says hi.

It's just so beautiful on foot too.
That is some beautiful countryside! Wow!
Beautiful countryside. I have been watching some of your first videos and enjoying the beginnings of your adventures.
Thank you.
The view you mentioned is called sun bank looking towards llangollen golf course
What a super vlog. We are planning to do the Llangollen this fall. I have made careful note of all of your suggestions.
Great. I really hope it has been helpful. Kath's planning a summary too.
After watching many vlogs IMHO yours is definitely the fastest Narrowboat

HAPPY SUNDAY ladies friends
As always a lovely relaxing video to watch. You girls never disappoint x
Thank you. So glad you enjoyed it
Alice was definitely looking for a tree...lovely canal and lovely vlog but it looked a bit chilly.
Yes, Kath got quite cold by the end. I was ok because I was out walking.
Amazing how many folks travel with you on such a small boat!!!
I love this.

Thanks for the tip. Will be helpful if we go back. We walked to Tesco at Cefn Mawr a few times which was some good exercise.
Just goes to show you can have superb journeys if you catch the weather right, even in early Spring! (Mind you the glorious scenery does help)

Uplifting.
Yes, Anna you are definitely a good looker and a fine scout too!
When you finish the new paint job will your boat still be named Ewart?
Been wanting to use that joke whilst at Llangollen. No, we shall change the name.
Hope the burger was yummy! It was very well earned xx
It was very yummy, probably should have shared one! Had to roll back to the boat. lol
Lovely to see you girls. 😁Thought you might have been washed away.😉 Did you get your burger? 🍔 What a beautiful day you had.
Yes, we got the burger and even had a pint.
Great vlog, ladies! Brought back fond memories of our trips on the Llangollen from many years ago. Have you had your white paintbrush out? ;)
cuuuuute hat!
Did you get Kath out of the tree? 😆 I love it, a tree for the cats and Kath to play at. Hope your burger was fantastic. Carry on... ❤
Yup, Kath loves her tree time.
Been to Wales a few times , it's very nice but very hilly Haha. I noticed you don't have a lead on your cats , don't you ever worry that you'll lose them ? They're beautiful puddies .
If we are in a city we put them on a lead but then they do not like it.
I did enjoy the Llangollen series. Question about security. When do you girls lock up the boat and when do you not worry?
Always lock it. Always worry.
Great Vlog, beautiful scenery and the music creates a lovely atmosphere. The stretch that you have to walk to warn other boats, is there enough room for boats to pass each other, or is there a procedure to follow. Thanks.
No room at all to pass in the narrows- you will have to reverse.
Hi girls. Have you been polishing the tiller, or is it new?
No tiller polishing here- I guess it was just extra shiny in the sun.
Nice to see you back, thought you'd become Dragon fodder.
We can fight off dragons .
Hope you got chance to meet Dan brown on the next strech, TH-cam "sort of interesting" aboard Ables ark. Top lad and super friendly.

How do I get/pay for a post card from Trevor Basin?
Great video as always, our winters here in Arkansas are what I call, " the ugly season".
I watch you whip the rudder back and forth and I'm curious, would a wheel give you better or worse control?
I think the wheel is just a different way to drive. The dutch barges often have wheel houses, but Kath does not like the idea of giving up the tiller.
