I have to say this, I spent 20 years in the U.S. Navy. We visited England one time back in the early 90’s. I had no idea that the English countryside was so beautiful. Thank you sharing the beauty that I missed. Maybe I will get another chance to visit and spend sometime on a narrow boat.
I love every moment of this vlog. I used to wonder why Jaks focused so much on pubs ... why not focus on art or music or "culture". Well, what the hey, pubs ARE art, music, and culture. Here's to Jaks and the pubs ... and a bit of rum. 🙂
Hello 👋 I've just started watching your videos. I've watched a few of the latest ones in your campervan but decided to have a binge on all your previous videos. I love following your adventures. You crack me up. Talking of which, I just spotted Rosie and Jim in the background there. It looks like they're having a fun old time 😂

What a good job you are open minded and flexible. Makes it all such a good adventure, who would want to follow a narrow minded, discounted old moaner of a narrow boat? Not me.
Hello Heidi - greetings from Poland "Every day is an adventure" - being with you, that's absolutley true. What an incredible journey to get to the Llangollen Basin. That must have been a bit scary at times because of the width of the canal and the draught of your boat. Thanks for the info on Pudding The Pug. He's adorable and certainly has a splendid quality of life being with you. The shopping expedition was a real cardio workout! Wow - that looked very hard work. An absolutley smashing video (lovely camera work by Jacquie at times). I really enjoyed it. Thanks for taking me along. Stay safe please.
Hey there Heidi, wow that canal is narrow but really lovely. Lucky you didnt get stuck and good that you made it to the pub..lol and at the end of it all what a reward, "the Captain"aaarrrr, to quench the thirst. Thanks again for taking us on your journey.😃🏳️🌈
Your best one yet Heidi! Very informative. But from all your puffin' and pantin' YOU need to join the early morning joggers. Even Puddin' could have beat you guys up that little hill. But anyway, arrrrr, I'll have 2 rums in your honor tomorrow night. From Mike in Ontario Canada. Keep on chuggin'.
Don’t knock jogging, it’s a great spectator sport. Llangollen is as tight as a tiger in places but is brilliant because it generates cooperation. Some might find it stressful to pass through the narrows but either cooperate, coordinate or learn how to reverse. Some of my best memories have been in the narrows with helping the uncertain ones or listening to the experienced ones. Thanks for another great Vlog.🙏
Hey Alan, I loved it up there and mainly because everyone was in good spirits and all helping each other 😃 thanks for watching again and buying me a beer - I really do appreciate it, Cheers 🍺🏴☠️
Dear Heidi, a lovely vlog again! However I feel I must bring to your attention the outrageous behaviour of 2 of your crew. No, I'm not talking about Jackie or Puddin this time, but those two naughty rag dolls behind you on the sofa. Blatantly indulging in a little soixante neuf behind your back! 😉 xx
Absolutely brilliant as usual sweetheart your video is what everyone looks forward too. Please take care and stay safe. Give Puddin a hug for me please. Love you both xxxx
And innuendo bingo is back for a Thursday!! Love it as always. Llangollen is such a special place, but damn that looked way too hot to be dragging granny trollies and Gareths Biggun up a huge hill!
Well that certainly brought back some memories! I got sent on ahead with a walkie talkie thingy when we went through those narrows and I told Jim it was all clear so he set off towards Llangollen and then I saw a boat coming the other way. Oh boy, did I get told off for not spotting it before he’d untied and started off. You’re right about the granny trolled and the rucksacks, they’re invaluable. Did I tell you I love your videos? Better than a Carry On film!
HI, Heidi, Just started watching your channel, binge watching and have just finished this episode. Scenery and canal look lovely. We have hired boats on the Mon and Brec a few times, and its fairly similar! On the M and B told you can moor anywhere! No you can't, once you you get off the centre and close to thecanalside, you nearly always ground! total pain in the arse pushing off all the time. Still love it though! Keep up the smut and innuendo, love it, Offto watch a couple more now, take care. Jeff.
Good bit of exercise that hill. When my daughter was at college & she took on a Betterware job, I got her one of those granny trolleys in black, & it had Keep calm & carry on shopping, on the front. Nowt wrong with a granny trolley, we did end up giving it to granny lol
Another great video I hope you made all 6 boats wear pirate hats and fly flags! Mucho love from Spain. House sale fell through so we’re stuck here for longer xx

Hi Heidi, love watching your vids and the music, having searched your links and others cant find it, now it may be me not looking in the right place, can you point me in the right direction so I can purchase some especially The Rum Wench, cheers Bob.
Hey Rob, thanks for watching 😃 I’m hoping they will be available for download over winter… at the moment all my music has been submitted just for TH-cam purposes with their strict copyright rules but most my tracks are quite short so hopefully over winter when the trading season has ended and I have more time to finish them and then when ‘distrokid’ has done its thing they will be available to download 😃😃🏴☠️

To Llangollen is a challenge but it’s worth the effort. Did you walk up to the Horseshoe falls where the river Dee feeds the canal with water. I’ve just spotted that I can see all of your videos in order.
I didn’t get all the way to the falls no but cruising crafts who we were with did 😄 … yes all my videos are in order since I started vlogging my journeys … I just wish I started doing this earlier as the previous year I had cruised from Nottingham to the Huddersfield narrow and standedge tunnel and back down the Rochdale and there were lots of exciting adventures just on photo though 😂
Hi, I have been watching your vids for a while now, as you always seam so happy. Can I ask you about blacking ? Why is it some people dont get the underneath of the boat blacked as well as the sides ? Sorry my nosey brain xx
Ahoy, thanks for watching ….. well a lot of boat builders say that the bottom doesn’t need it because it’s so far underwater the oxygen doesn’t get to it so it can’t rust. Also lots of dry docks just rest the boat on pieces of wood so you can’t even get under to black it anyway. I’m due for blacking first week in November so I’ll be checking my bottom then too 😳🤣
