It's technically a folding tablet that just runs windows. The keyboard is external so it would be considered an accessory.

As a person that constantly travels, carry on only, and constantly edits video this is almost a dream come true…if I could connect it to a monitor during the time I was at home and it had USB ports I’d be a buyer. Im excited for this form factor though because in a couple years it’ll be amazing and much cheaper.

Chad, look at reviews for people who own the Galaxy Fold phone. Not ideal for travel. My first instinct was the same until I thought about it for a minute. It would be fun flying from BKK to ATL watching movies on that OLED though.

get a USB-C dongle that has a USB-A ports, HDMI, and even ethernet.
most of them even offer USB-C passthrough charging so you plug a USB-C charger into the dongle and it will charge the laptop through the dongle. that way, you only have to connect a single USB-C cable to the laptop and you are connected to everything you need.

30000 cycles for asus zenbook fold 17. Z fold 4 has 200000 cycles. Due to difference in screen size. Durability is a concern.

    • @9Sanskar1
      @9Sanskar1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

It translates to almost 25 times per day for 3 years opening and closing the screen. Which i feel is enough if one uses this display/laptop for work purposes or as a desktop display.

    • @void0921

Lenovo X1 Fold 2022 is OVERALL better than the Asus Zenbook 17 Fold and I say that as an Asus fan.
Lenovo X1 Fold 2022 supports a stylus powered by Wacom technology (sold separately). Asus Zenbook 17 Fold doesn't support a stylus at all.
Asus Zenbook 17 Fold uses an OLED panel from BOE capable of 500 nits of brightness. The 1st gen Lenovo X1 Fold uses an OLED panel from LG Display. The Lenovo X1 Fold 2022 uses an OLED panel from Sharp capable of 600 nits of brightness.
$3,500 for a device with a BOE panel?? NO THANKS! 😂😂😂
$2,500 for the Lenovo X1 Fold 2022 is very competitive against the Asus Zenbook 17 Fold though of course it's still expensive (that doesn't necessarily mean overpriced) starting at $2,500.
Asus Zenbook 17 Fold has a keyboard that is NOT backlit.
Lenovo X1 Fold 2022 has a backlit keyboard.
Lenovo X1 Fold 2022 has OPTIONAL 5G Sub 6 (with LTE support) connectivity plus a Nano SIM card slot.
Asus Zenbook 17 Fold doesn't have 5G or any cellular connectivity option.
Lenovo X1 Fold 2022 lets you pick a 12th gen Intel Core i5 or i7 processor and has up to 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM.
Asus Zenbook 17 ONLY comes with a 12th gen Intel Core i7 and has up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM.
Lenovo X1 Fold 2022 has NO headphone jack (VERY disappointing) and instead has a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port taking its place.
Asus Zenbook 17 Fold has a headphone jack.
BOTH laptops have 2 Thunderbolt 4 ports as well.
    Lenovo X1 Fold 2022 has Bluetooth 5.2.
Asus Zenbook 17 Fold only has Bluetooth 5.0.
Lenovo X1 Fold 2022 has a fingerprint scanner.
    Asus Zenbook 17 Fold doesn't.
Lenovo X1 Fold 2022 has a 48Wh battery with an OPTIONAL additional 16Wh battery.
Asus Zenbook 17 Fold has a 75Wh battery. (Bigger screen from Asus means more room for a larger battery.

I don't know about windows because windows can become slow and there are so many windows devices out there. But as a fast Chromebook Wow. Asus I hope you are listening.
