    Got this a month ago and due to the nature of my work as a consultant I usually multi-task with Microsoft office apps (Excel, Powerpoint, word, etc), and I've been using dual monitors for a long time. Having a laptop that can easily snap into dual monitors on the run while maintaing a good battery life and performance is honestly a dream come true. This thing is ahead of its time

    i got my zenbook duo 2024 120hz oled, ultra 7 155H & 16gb ram few days ago.. in the asus system setting app i put 8gb allocation to the arc GPU & the fan speed option to performance mode with the AC power and was able to play all games on high setting with few tweaks in graphics setting of the games which i couldn't believe an intel laptop without RTX could ever do lol

    Definitely getting one. Where 1000+ on smartphones is normal these days and 1500+ on foldable phones, 1499 seems like a price I would happily consider.

    I got this about two weeks ago. As a therapist who has multiple locations to see clients, this is wonderful. Between clients, I can be productive in looking after business needs. This is also great for telehealth, as I can have the video on one screen and write client notes on the other in real-time. I love it.

    With mirror mode, you look at the ceillinglights reflection :-) Tent mode is better for screen sharing(cloning) and tent mode allows you to use it on the couch or bed without suffocating the vents. Apart from that it is just the best laptop ever brought out. No compromises. There is no better laptop. I also don't see any reason anymore for bigger laptops (15/16/17/18 inch), it's a real game changer. Can you imagine this laptop with thunderbolt 5 to connect a geforce 4090 super eGPU ?

    My concern is that stand. It is built in....great. How about when you go side by side. We were not shown that implementation. Also, when/if you close the laptop without having the keyboard attached could be a bad day. We were told about the on-screen keyboard. If we cannot go anywhere without the onscreen keyboard, then why is it present. I have used the Lenovo offering from last year. That was really well done. The only drawback to that laptop were the 60hz screens, but they were OLED.

      I'm sure they will all come out with such device, because it's a revolution. Lenovo yoga 9i also had such configuration but there were a lot of problems with it (keyboard was sometimes sliding while typing, no backlit keyboard (unusable in the dark), the keyboard had to be carried seperatly, and it didn't have a USB A or HDMI port.

  • @adskee69
    @adskee69 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

    Just bought a Yoga Book 9i and love it. This is a great implementation to have a full size keyboard and keep it in one package. Only downside is it looks very, very thick compared to the Lenovo.

      @@PSYCHOV3N0M you hope I already bought the new version that was announced a few days ago and isn't available to purchase until April? Well, no. No I didn't.
      I don't really care that much about chips and specs and benchmarks so am not too concerned though. Might given the Asus a look in April when it's refresh time though.

    • @sebkeccu4546
      @sebkeccu4546 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Don't forget that the comparisson is not fair, because with the lenovo 9i you don't have a keyboard. If you put the keypboard on top it will be thicker...I also don't like that keyboard (no backlit illumination, and sometimes the magnets don't hold well, which makes the keyboard slide a bit)
      On top of that, this laptop has a full HDMI and USB A port, which proably also causes it to be a bit thicker. Lastly the lenovo is 2 x 13.3 screens, while the asus has 2 x 14 inch (more screen estate), I just purchased the asus duo for 2100 euros (core ultra 9 185H, 32GB ram, 3K OLEDS) , it's already available in europe and not expensive (+ you get a pen, a backpack, and transport sleeve which doubles as a stand). How much did you pay for the lenovo?

    • @adskee69
      @adskee69 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@sebkeccu4546 these are all good points. The ASUS definitely isn't as nice from a design standpoint, but it does tick a lot of boxes as you've described and I'll have to check it out once its launched. Or since I've only had the Lenovo for a month, maybe skip this and buy the next gen.

    I just bought in directly from the Asus web shop, few things to point out, in France you don't get the bag, the sleeve and the pen. You have the computer, with the keyboard of course, and the cardboard origami style stand (I just think it's useless tho).
    The bought the intel core 9 version, thinking it will come with win11 pro, (who in the world would need a i9 in a family environment? I don't get it), anyway it's an easy upgrade but be aware (the web shop is a bit confusing).
    Now for the laptop, it is genuinely the best I have ever used, every thing is top notch, the screens I read somewhere they are pantone certified, not sure tho, but the touchscreen is perfect, the double screen combo is the main feature, included stand make it very easy to setup quickly, I have several workplaces so this is the device I didn't know I needed. The build quality is solid, every thing feels and looks top notch. A bit disappointed by the lack of accessories included in my region but can't to any thing about it really. Can't recommend enough tho

    I bought the Zenbook Fold17. Still think that is the best PC I ever got: although had the Zenbook duo 14 and 15. The the folding 17.5’’ is amazing !!

      Zenbook Fold is technically far superior in terms of technology but it's still at an infant stage and Asus is still trying to tap into its full potential (Samsung is the most experienced with this tech). The duo 2024 has old tech that has been polished and pushed to the limits.

      @@thng670 although I’m an apple user (except for Mac), my GoTo set for business is the Fold 17 along the Fold 5: now that I mentioned it, guess I’m a sucker for folding devices :D

      @@mrasmarc yea Foldables definitely have their charm and can be really convenient too. I too have been using the foldable phones since the Samsung z fold 2 (with the custom red hinge). It was considered a super luxurious item. They gave one free screen repair + vouchers for stuff like a free meal at a Michelin star restaurant + golf club AND a dedicated 24/7 VIP concierge phone line just for Z fold users. It was crazy lol kinda wish Fold users still have these perks ...

    If Asus would have made this with a 2 in 1 / Tent Mode / 360 type hinge, it would be my perfect laptop. But for now, it will do. Hopefully Asus will restock these. Getting one is quite difficult.

    I just bought a similar one like this, but it didn't have an i7 cpu. It has a netbook cpu N100. I use a bluetooth keyboard and now I have dual screen with a keyboard. I love it. I watch youtube on one screen and surf web on another screen. If I buy the i7, it would have cost me over $500, around 700.

    They have to come out wit a version like what they did with the Zephyrus produo!
    1. It needs to me 15.6-17"... i know that it will be heavier
    2. 1080pm is sufficient to the average consumer.
    3. It needs dedicated graphics....
    4. The top screen can be just as thin, just bigger

    The Asus pro duos/Zephyrus duos are still the way to go for professionals who want two screens and need raw horsepower. You Should've mentioned that when you talked about the tradeoffs even using the asus pro duos. These are nice but are relatively very weak. It's great for most people though.
